I had a tooth pulled so I wouldn't say it was a pleasant experience. That being said, it was done with professionalism and care for my comfort.

I am back to square 1 on finding a Oral Surgeon for my 12 year old son. Dr. McPhillips administration staff minus Debbie (on the day of his appointment) would not understand that we may be late and not even give us 5 minutes pass our appointment when we could had still been there. I just called to give them a courtesy call at 2:55 PM when our appointment was at 3:15. I explained what was going on and their Admin staff were very rude period. I begged, I was already checking him out of school early and myself had to schedule to take time off from my work. The school was not releasing the kids due to an Active Shooter drill that they have to go through so often every year that started at 2:35 that afternoon. Well, I guess Dr. McPhillips staff absolutely don't care about our school children and their safety with today's society in what happens in places with active shooters. They are not selfless people there but selfish people there, didn't care due to the delay. They just frustrated me to no end and I chose to find another oral surgeon. It's their loss not ours. This would had been our first appointment, all paperwork was done and I was prepared for this appointment other than this unknown delay with the drill when I arrived at the school. Not a very good first impression at all from Dr. McPhillip's admin staff. I'm sure Dr. McPhillips is good-hearted person, great surgeon and I will include Debbie too as I felt she tried to keep our appointment but whoever got on the phone call and demanded that the appointment needed to be moved, that did not care was someone else on the administrative side and I hope she learns to care about her new patients and care that our school children are learning to be protected.

Had a terrible abscess. Needed tooth pulled. When I went in my blood pressure was too high for them to pull it. Dr changed up my bp meds to where I was able to get my tooth pulled on my second visit. Dr very good and knowledgeable. Will use them for implants

I've had to use Dr. McPhillips three different times in the past. I am comfortable in recommending him and if I need additional oral surgery this is where I will go. A very professional office.

Work was good, people were nice, but had to pay upfront, not trusting of insurance

I found from receptionists to all the staff at Bedford associates, very pleasant, courteous and kind. Dr. McPhillips is an outstanding experienced surgeon, concerned about the wellbeing of his patients, spent plenty of time to listen to my problems and very professional. I can say this as I myself be a surgeon for past 45 years. Dr. McPhillips was gracious, reassuring and caring. I feel he is a great asset to our community. Rajendra S Chouhan M.D., F.A.C.S.

Absolutely terrific initial consultation. I learned so much about the longevity of root canals vs implants during this visit. Dr. McPhillips was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and never once made me feel like one of my questions or comments was dumb. I am moving forward with the dental surgery through his office because after just one conversation with him I have full confidence in his capabilities, and he put me at ease about something that sounded really scary. Definitely check him out if you're in need of teeth extraction, implants, or any other dental surgeries.

This is the 3rd time I'm having an extraction done by this surgeon. I won't go anywhere else. All office staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The surgeon has a great sense of humor which is refreshing! His medical knowledge goes beyond just dental. For the anxiety ridden patient, this office allows me to feel calm.

Did not like Karen who is over billing/Office manager? Not sure if her exact position. We almost did not select McPhillips for my daughters surgery but we really liked him and I believe he's a very thorough oral surgeon. He included my daughter and was very thorough. After seeking out another oral surgeon, we decided to overlook the disposition of OM and go with the better surgeon. Initial consult we discussed pricing with Karen (and during this time we had a terrible experience with how she spoke to my children and I over mask which we were wearing and had no issue until we were in her office. My daughter mask strap broke but she was still holding it snuggly over her nose & mouth. My oldest has just left the exam room with Dr. McPhillips & forgot to pull it up after the exam but she immediately put it back on and Karen getting rude about it was not necessary. She was very condescending and argumentative treating us as if we were not being compliant. My dad was almost vented with Covid. We respected the mask policy. Anyway, needed to add that back story). Not at any point did she mention we would have to pay $1458 out of pocket day of surgery during the initial consult in October. Quote was around $3-400ish from my memory. I would remember that and would have given me a . In January, we were given the green light for surgery so we went into McPhillips office and scheduled for March 10. Feb 28 I called for a copy of our payment and insurance confirmation. They did email it but it was not sent until Feb 26 (I missed it in my email but I asked for it in January). To my surprise we were being required to pay $1485 day of surgery! Not only that but she was trying to make me pay $1k over what my insurance had already approved through the pre-determination and I was told I would have to wait for "any possible" refunds. To shorten the phone convo She basically told me we either pay it or cancel so I canceled. She wasn't happy I made a statement about not referring their office because of HER. Again, was our second negative experience with her. *Found a different wonderful surgeon with an amazing staff and OM. I really thought I was being difficult about the payment but alas I paid $224 after insurance approval same day and we had surgery the next day. Karen, where did the extra $1261 come from? Very unethical! Dr. McPhillips you are a great oral surgeon and you seemed to be a great person. Maybe if customers were not over billed and treated disrespectfully by your OM (or again whatever her position is) you would have even more clients and better compensation without over billing. This isn't just coming from me. I have now spoken to 5 separate families with the same experience from the same person.

Dr. McPhillips took out infected roots of a broken molar yesterday. The staff was friendly and efficient. They made sure I was comfortable. He told me it would take about 10 minutes and it did. I had no bleeding when I left the office. It's been over 24 hours and I can't even tell I had it done. He made sure I had antibiotics. I am really pleased with the results and the cost was acceptable. I would highly recommend Dr McPhillips. I am going back to have another tooth removed.
