Dr. Beckwell opened his St. Clair Shores dental practice in 1993 and the Shelby Township dental office has been in operation since 2002. Basic dental services are offered at both offices, including dental cleanings, dental exams, and straight-wire orthodontics, as well as cosmetic dentistry services like veneers, teeth whitening, and dental implants.
A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry (1987), Dr. Beckwell served as the president of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity in his final year of studies. He received his bachelors degree from Adrian College (1983) where he was president of the student body in his senior year and a member of the Beta Beta Beta national biology honor society. Dr. Beckwell received training in orthodontics through the extensive F.O.R.C.E. continuing education program.
Dr. Beckwell is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), the Macomb Dental Society, the Detroit District Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Association. Annually, the offices of Dr. Beckwell offer day of dentistry for underprivileged families in conjunction with the Detroit District Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Beckwell is an active member of his local community. He coached the hockey team at Henry Ford II High School in Sterling Heights for three years (2007-2010). He umpired in the United States Special Sports Association (USSSA) and was inducted into the Michigan USSSA Hall of Fame Umpire Category in 1996. In 2010, he received the honor of being inducted into the USSSA National Hall of Fame.
Dental school not only provided Dr. Beckwell with an education, it is also where he met his wife Beth who works in the Shelby Township and St. Clair Shores practices as a dental hygienist. Together they have four children: Charles III, Erin, Robert, and Allyson.

I lost an old filling and was experiencing a lot of pain. Dr. Beckwell fit me in the schedule that evening, and while fixing my tooth, made sure I was never in any pain. He and his staff are always welcoming and caring.

The best dentist I've ever been to! All of the hygienists are awesome! I broke a tooth and Dr. Beckwell got me in super quick and did a wonderful job. I can't even tell I have a crown in. Thanks again Dr. Becks!

Please do not go here your crowns will be placed incorrectly and have to be redone. Then you have to fight to get the money beck to the insurance to redo the work if it can be fixed.

I worked in the debtal field for iver twenty-five years, i never had a hygentist clean my teeth like she does! I was referred to Dr. Beckwellls office from I had working there. The first time i webt i was in the chair over a hour and a half. The hygentist said it looked like i hadn't had a cleaning in year. The fact is i had differant hygentist clean my teeth at the offies i worked at. On down time and a bo show for hygene, i would hop in the chair and get my teeth cleaned, sometimes uo to four times a day! The dentist seems nice, but i haven't needed any dental work

You will not find a more professional and friendly staff then Dr. Beckwells office! Dr. Beckwell is one of a kind he is extremely knowledgeable and professional with a wonderful chairside mannerism. You will not be disappointed in this office for your dental and Ortho needs.
