I just went in for a tooth extraction under IV sedation. I was incredibly nervous due to dental issues I'd had in the past, but the staff were considerate, kind and caring throughout every step of the process; before I knew it I was done! If you experience any degree of dental anxiety I'd absolutely recommend, their professionalism and compassion turned something I'd been dreading for weeks into a very positive experience!

I went in for a wisdom tooth consultation. The receptionist was not wearing a mask when we walked in. The assistant sounded like he just woke up or was about to fall asleep, and assumed my girlfriend was my mother. We are both 24. The surgeon told me I had damage on my tongue which I explained multiple times was from an accidental burn the week prior, but he did not believe me. The surgeon started writing prescriptions without confirming that I even wanted to get surgery with them. The surgeon did not go over most of the notes my dentist wrote down on the referral card despite it being right next to my x-rays on the board behind him. I had no chance to talk about sedation or how the procedure would go. I felt extremely uncomfortable, unheard, and like I would not be in good hands under anesthesia. I got a refund and left.

I had the upper left back tooth(15) removed and an immediate impact placed with a bone graft. I was a nervous wreck when I went in but after meeting the team that was going to work on me I felt so much better. Anthony came in to start an IV (thank you Aubree for holding my hand) and I am a very hard stick. My veins like to hide and roll. He was absolutely amazing and got it on the first try. I was waiting for the pain but there was none. Thank you Anthony!! Dr. Alex was wonderful he came in explained everything to me and off to sleep I went. I am now 4 days post op and doing great, no pain and no pain meds. I highly recommend Dr. Alex and his team. They are all so kind. Toni

They did good work and were cool to me. It was rather expensive comparatively but they are highly regarded and other dentists respect their experience and reputation.

AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs please. Zero star if I have an option for it. 100% a FRAUD for me. I usually don't give a review online unless things are bad and I want people to avoid it. I have my wisdom teeth removed last month. Called the office to ask if they are in network for my insurance, they said YES. So I had my evaluation with cost me ~$300. After that they told me my out of pocket for my 3 wisdom teeth removed is $1800. I asked them for the details of the coverage. They said they don't know yet, insurance will reach out to me once I have this done. Unfortunately I TRUSTED them and went for the procedure. (I should have seen red flag there since why did they come up with $1800 and saying they don't know. I called my insurance company and they said the office IS NOT in network and they never contacted the company for the estimation. Its my fault for not checking with my insurance upfront and give my trust too easy, but the office LIED to me. How do you trust their service if they do it 100% for profit, not thinking for their patients. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I WARNED YOU

I went to the Hillsboro location and referred to DMD Jan Andrew Kooning, who bravely took on my extraction that others were afraid to take on....the last time I had one removed from the old school steel "wedges" they called "fillings" for treating cavities that eventually crack your tooth...the Dentist took two and one half hours on. Dr. Kooning had it out in two minutes. Thank all of you much. I feel like a kid again! Hope I don't get cavities. lol

So this office has a couple bad habits people should be aware of. First one is appt timing. If ur appt is at 10:00 am they will have you wait 30 + minutes before they actually see you. Second they are very rude when it comes to cost of services and talking to the patients in general. They wont check your dental insurance coverage amount before quoting you ,they will just say they dont know. Normally a dental office will check with your dental insurance first then talk to the patient so that way the patient knows how much they will see back after paying for the services. This office does not do this and again is very rude about it. If your dental office has referred you here I would highly recomend going somewhere else as they do not care about patients here. If you had similar experiences you should share them as well as there is no reason for this office to be this rude and unprofessional.

I'm a shy person but I had the best experience possible with the process of my wisdom teeth extraction surgery. Dr. Bouneff and every staff member I encountered were great and I would definitely recommend this place!

Dr Kooning and Staff were wonderful!!! I had my first ever dental surgery, 2 teeth removed and bone graft for later implant, and I was nervous! Jonathan up front is an absolute legend. He helped me through the scheduling (it was an emergency and tough to book but he made it happen!), and finances and was so kind and helpful all the way through. Anthony did an excellent job on my iv for sedation, and another team member I can't remember his name sorry, held my hand so kindly. That completely put me at ease and made all the difference. Then I just went to sleep and woke up all done! Dr Kooning and team really performed well and I was so nervous about the pain afterward but even though my jaw and the extraction site were pretty sore, they gave adequate pain relief. It was tough the first 48 hours and then started to improve and by day 4 advil was enough and I was up and about. I am looking forward to my follow up care and completing the rest of my dental plan with my general dentist now. Thank you so much Beaverton Oral Surgeons!!!

I had three wisdom teeth removed by dr. Bouneff 5 days ago. The whole process was super easy. His staff was friendly from start to finish and he has a kind and professional bedside manner. I am giving four stars instead of five because they're not up to date on lactation and medical procedures. This was an issue for me as a breastfeed mother, but obviously if someone isn't lactating it won't be an issue. I was told I would need to pump and dump for 24 hours after the procedure, which I didn't think was true so I called a lactation clinic to verify. When I mentioned that pumping and dumping wasn't consistent with my research they kind of brushed me off so I didn't push it. This kind of thing can be a big deal for a breastfeeding mom so it would be nice for them to be better informed and not giving false information. Other than that, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend.

A few months back I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed. I was extremely nervous due to the fact that I had never been put under before. When I got in, I was seated comfortably and greeted by shelby who was so sweet and made me laugh until next thing I know I'm waking up! They made sure I felt relaxed and knew what was going on and even gave me flowers as I was walking out. Loved every bit of it and would do it all over again with no nerves if I knew how awesome my experience would have been. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

I would highly recommend Dr. Kooing and staff. I am in the process of having a dental implant. This is my first experience with local anesthesia and dental work. They were extremely informational, answered my questions and there for me 100%.

I was really nervous about getting my wisdom teeth out and had already waited far too long. From the consultation to the removal Dr. Kooning and his staff were 10/10. I was scared and extremely anxious the day of my surgery, but the team went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. So thankful to have found this office and will refer them to all my friends and family. I also wanted to comment on how great the front desk staff was. Thank you for making the insurance and payment process very straight forward and simple. Thank you! Victoria VandenBrink
