Its vital to choose one with a dedication to continuing education and a commitment to providing the best care possible. Dr. Leong, at Smiles Only, fits the requirements on every level. Dr. Leong began his education at Washington State University, and from there completed his dental degree at the Oregon Health Sciences University. He made his next move to San Antonio, TX, where he served his country and fellow soldiers in the Air Force.
Following his service, Dr. Leong moved to Tucson where he, and his practice, has served the community since 1983. During that time, he has proven his dedication to providing exceptional, up to date care. His continuing education hours far exceed the states requirements. Dr. Leong is also a member of several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Arizona State Dental Association, Southern Arizona Dental Society, and several dental-related study clubs, among others. He is also a former president of the local chapter of the Richard Tucker Cast Gold Academy. Dr. Leong currently is a faculty club member of Spear Education receiving advanced training in comprehensive dentistry. His is also a mentor level member of CDOCS.COM which provides complete training in digital dentistry.
When Dr. Leong isnt providing high quality to the Tucson community with experience and humor, he spends his free time participating in various sports, pointing his camera at an assortment of subjects, and enjoying time working on computers.

If you are looking for a great Dental experience, I strongly suggest "Smiles Only"! The front office (Kourtney and Andrea) staff are excellent with scheduling and insurance, the hygienist I had (Ashley) was caring and thorough, and the Dentist (John Vredenburg - aka DrV), is great! Modern, yet comfortable ambiance as well. VictorB

I have had many horrible experiences with Dentists in the past, But Dr. Vredenburg and his entire staff have made me feel so comfortable with 0 judgement at all. They offered amazing payment plans and just the ease of such an uneasy situation was amazing. I truly will never go to another dentist again ever. I am so blessed to have found them by randomly scrolling through Facebook. I can not thank them all enough at all..

This dental office and it's staff are absolutely the most amazing people I've met so far during a long and endeavorous search for a reasonably priced cosmetic dentist!! They never made me feel bad at any point because of how bad my teeth had gotten . They were so amazingly accommodating in any way they could be! I was finally able to shed tears of joy upon leaving my consult rather than tears of disappointment because the price was so far out of reach for me to ever be able to afford the work! I will have an all new me as of October 13th I'm stoked and couldn't be more greatful!!!! Thank you so much Smiles Only staff!!! You're all angels in my opinion!!!!!

Words can't really describe how amazing my experience was. I'm terrible with names but no need to stress over that. Every person I came in contact with yesterday were wonderful. They really put you at ease. They also educate you about what they're doing and what's to come. Dr Vredenburg was very chill. And I never felt as if anyone was judging me. They just want to help you. No matter your dental situation I highly recommend this office!!

I always dread visits to the dentist but, as soon as I walked into Smiles Only, I knew this place was different! Super modern facilities with the latest technology, everyone was very friendly and caring, and it was the first time in my entire life that details about the health of my teeth and gums were explained to me so clearly and concisely. I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment (a first for me - haha!). HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Hi! My name is Nick, I'm 40 years old. I have been battling with tooth loss and decay for the last 5 years. Shortly after being diagnosed with Gastroparesis. This disease causes a lot of vomiting which the acids involved are very bad for your teeth and I shortly after diagnosis my teeth were breaking down very quickly. I was having them pulled often due to tooth damage and decay. This continued for about 4 to 5 years until this year when I went into remission. Then after not vomiting now for about 8 months I decided To deal with my teeth but I quickly learned I couldn't afford it. In August we went to New Hampshire on vacation to visit family And of course my last natural front tooth broke in half and and my front Crown snapped off and here I am on vacation with my wife's family and in the middle of the trip my teeth are gone, It was the most humiliating and embarrassing experience of my life and and I quickly began to get emotional and overwhelmed with the entire situation. I even found some white beads that you soak in water to make Halloween teeth and I attempted to make a false front which helped me to get by a few days days. After returning home I was completely reclused to my house and I was embarrassed to go anywhere. I do handyman and contracting work so I have to face customers and people all day and I really limited that contact and lost business because of embarrassment but the people I was talking to I quickly noticed everyone was staring at my month. It was then I realized that I have to do something with these teeth or lack of, it was really getting between me and my life! I began searching out options Which was very hard, it's very hard because the different dentists and some offer plans, some don't, some will help you and some won't end some won't, either way it's a crazy process with so many different options And I really just felt lost and overwhelmed with the process. A few days later I was on Facebook and ran across a post by by SMILES ONLY SEDATION DENTAL & IMPLANT CENTER! I sent a request for information and they quickly responded and set up an appointment. I went in for my appointment 4 days later And my life has absolutely changed since that day! Steph was GREAT and all the staff were absolutely AMAZING AND MORE than accommodating! Then I met Dr. VRENDENBURG. He immediately made me feel comfortable. Dr. Vrendenburg has a wonderful personality. I felt like he really cares about what you want and need. He also helps you to understand the entire process before it happens and what expectations are. I'm 40 years old so getting dentures was obviously a huge embarrassment to me, the staff, dental assistants, and Dr. Vrendenburg Really made me feel comfortable in my decision to remove 7 teeth and install an immediate denture. They then put me on their SMILES PLAN which saves you lots of money, not only on this type of procedure but on many many others. Once I signed and put a small down payment down, they put me on a payment plan for 5 months and immediately started impressions and imaging for my dentures which they have state-of-the-art equipment that help things go smoothly and quickly. I then returned one week later and I had 7 Teeth removed and the denture placed. I am now on day 3 with The denture and I'm in minimal pain, Not more than you would expect from having such trauma done to your mouth. I can smile and everyone who has seen me has complimented me. I can chew so much better even though the hardest thing I've eaten so far was a slice of marble bread lol. I can already notice a difference in the chewing. There's still a lot of getting used to that has to be done But I'm confident with a little healing time and possibly a few adjustments to the denture this will be a game changer for my life! I do have plans to possibly a partial or ? on the bottom since I still have 6 good front teeth, But this was a good start! Thank you so much Dr. Vrendenburg and Staff for the Excellent Care! I look forward to what life brings now that I have my confidence back!

I took my concerns to the Dentist, and his assistant both of them were interested and concerned with my circumstance. All staff members I encountered on this visit were polite and interested in me as their patient. The environment is very welcoming. Thank you!

Dr. Vredenburg and his staff were very caring, friendly, and professional. I love the office it's so well done and beautiful. Dr. V was so relaxed during my procedure and put me at ease. It went great and I I now have two implants. I had gotten previous work in Mexico years ago for a root canal and it wasn't cleaned properly and the bacteria had eaten away at my jaw. Now it's all cleaned and rebuilding bone loss! Coundly have asked for a better experience.
