Beam Orthodontics is a lifelong dream transformed to reality. Dr. Schaefer has wanted his own private orthodontics office for years (as evidenced by the 1996 newspaper displayed here), a place where people of all ages can visit to reap the benefits of quality orthodontics. We are local, so while building Beam we sought locals to help us. One such person was Mike Nelson of Solana Beach and owner of branding agency type g (typeg.com). Mike helped us create our brand and tell our story. Dr. Schaefer will be the only orthodontist you will ever see at Beam, but he went back and forth on naming the office after himself. He ultimately decided he wanted to name the office something fun, short, and sweet. He came up with Beam because he is committed to creating smiles for his patients that beam like a light. He also studied engineering in college, so the structural aspects of beams appealed to him. We want our office to signify structure and alignment. The 32 dots around the logo represent the 32 teeth and the glow of a happy patient. The Schaefer family and the team they hire will stand behind the Beam Orthodontics brand and the core values it represents.

We are so grateful for everyone who works at Beam Orthodontics. Each staff member is kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and caring. They've made my daughter's experience with an expander and braces so much easier.

Absolutely a great over all experience at Beam Orthodontics. So happy I'm able to have my daughter be a patient here!! Update : My daughter will be getting her braces off on our next visit!! This place makes you feel like family. I am 33 and have been dissatisfied with my teeth for my entire life. Finally decided to get "adult braces". So impressed with everything as far as the price, services and treatment. My baby was in the NICU for a week and they took the time to each write a sweet message in a card. It made me tear up and realize how amazing/caring Beam Orthodontics is. Look no farther if you are considering braces. Can't recommend this place enough!

My two kids are already patients here and it was time for myself to get a consult on straightening up my teeth. The entire experience was so pleasant and I learned so much! It was a no pressure at all consult which I appreciated as well. Everyone is so nice! Love this place

Dr Schaefer and the Beam Team are so great. Friendly, welcoming and engaging, they make the kids feel at ease, excited (yes- seriously excited to get braces lol) and involved. They are great with the parents too; I was given all the details on what was going to happen during the initial exam, Dr Schaefer explained exactly why he thought the treatment plan was right for each kid based on their xrays, photos and ages, walked through pricing without pressuring us to become clients. We were all highly impressed with their office, the cool stuff the kids can do while they visit (ie be the DJ for the office music), and and warmth of the staff. We had several people suggest to go to Beam Orthodontics, and I'm happy we did.
