Dr. Bryan Peters received his bachelors degree from UC Berkeley. After his undergrad he became interested in dentistry, so he completed post-graduate work and Dental Mission outreach trips to Central America which further clarified his ambition. Following the completion of his postgraduate studies and a brief teaching school tenure, he attended the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He participated in an advanced preceptorship in oral implantology and subsequently received the outstanding achievement award. When Dr. Peters first started practicing in Santa Barbara, he created a mobile dental program to serve over 20 different retirement centers, it was the first program of its kind on the central coast. As part of the program he established dental clinics in these facilities and developed a line of portable equipment to serve the dental health needs of the community residents. Dr. Bryan Peters has been practicing for over 28years and continues to enjoy his role as a Doctor serving the dental health needs of the Santa Barbara community.

Luciano is an excellent dental hygienist, certainly among the three best whom I have experienced as an adult since the 1970's. Additionally, as a former college student of my wife, Luciano has both of our utmost trust and confidence in his professional knowledge expertise. We feel fortunate that he is a member of the Beachside Dental team.

BEWARE. Dr Peters does not seem to even see patience. Was seen by some female Dr. Had a tooth ache and needed to be seen and they got me in same day, seemed good. My regualr dentist was booked. Sent to me root canal doctor who was not on my insurance, found out later and cost be 2x as much if I had been given an in network doctor. Got root canal and went back to get crown. Was told I should have the tooth next to the root canal done too and would give me discount $2400 for 2 teeth. Seemed pretty high so I declined. Upon grinding down my tooth for crown the Lady Dr. stopped and said that it looked like I had gum damage possibly from root canal. Was told to go see specialist. Put on a temp crown and I left. Twenty minutes later my crown came off. I went back as no answer on phone call. I could see Dr. Peters at back desk moving around. I continued to knock until he came to door. I told him I was just in 45 minutes ago and my temp crown came off. He stood and just stared at me like I was speaking another language or something. He said he couldn't do anything and suggested some glue at pharmacy. Lots of help there. So now its been 2 weeks and crown came off a few times but last time eating lunch ti got destroyed. I called and they said to come it. I just wanted a new temp until gum Dr. could be seen. Instead, they asked again about doing the other tooth and this time price was even higher. They wanted to do a cleaning while I was there and I agreed to it as I know I get free cleanings with insurance. Cleaned teeth and said gum looks ok come back in two weeks for new crown. Would not do another temp crown and said it would be ok. At this point I was fustrated and made appointment with regular dentist in Lompoc. He got xrays from root canal and compared with new xray and showed the Beach front dental is the one that damaged my Gum line. Perfect gum when I left root canal and now was cut from Beach front grinding too far down causing damage. My dentist also said other tooth is fine and does not need any crown. He makes crowns on site so I was fitted with a new crown and less than a third Beach front had charged me in advanced. I call beach front to cancel and return my money. I waited a month and no credit. I filled dispute with credit card and was refunded. This place only wants you for you money. They don't care about you or your needs just how much they can milk out of you and insurance. They over charge you and act like they are your best friend. Don't fall for their tactics you will be sorry you ever stepped foot in there.

I don't recommend. Dentist did a terrible job of a root canal and put a cheap crown in which turned into an abscess and then everything had to be redone, including paying costs all over again, at another dentists surgery. After looking at the reviews of the dentists previous surgery reviews, it looks like this is commonplace for him. :-(

The dental office just sent a request for a review several years after my two appointments there so here goes. I changed dentists due to a insurance change. I have not had any dental issues for years other than old fillings needing replacement. On my first visit here I was told that I had 3 cavities. I was surprised since it had only been 6 months since my last dental appointment at my previous dentist. I scheduled an appointment to have them fixed. The dentist decided to fill them all at one appointment. It was a very long visit. The dentist and assistant talked the entire time and acted like I wasn't there. When he was nearly done and was shaping the last filling and smoothing it, I was in desperate need of using the bathroom. I told him and went. When I returned, he said "you're done" I asked him to shape and smooth the last filling as it felt very rough. He said "You're good" and seemed annoyed that I went to the restroom. Of course my tooth felt very rough after the Novocain wore off. I made an appointment to return and he said that it was smooth and fine. Since then everything gets caught in between that tooth. I went back to my old dentist due to this bad experience. I told them about my rough filling and they smoothed it perfectly. Only 6 months after getting the new fillings, one of them fell out. I'm so happy to be back at my old dentist and would never go to Beachside Dental.

Horrible customer service. Seemed uninterested in helping me after I had to.put on hold any services due to finances and having Covid . Called 5 times and left messages without response. E mailed twice with no response. Disappointed to the max.

Dr. Peters and his staff have been expertly seeing to my dental needs since he opened his practice in Santa Barbara years ago. I always look forward to my visits, always treated not just respectfully, but personally, with real friendless and precision care. Having had a parent who was a D.D.S. with a very good reputation in San Diego, I know what it feels like to be well treated, and I'd say I know a thing or two about how a dental practice is run. There are offices in this town that make you feel like a cash register. Not Dr. Brian Peters and his staff! I cannot recommend Beachside Dental more highly.

They fraudulently billed me for nearly $1000 (after my insurance already paid), failed to return my calls and my insurance's calls to resolve the bill, and did not even attempt to file a claim to my insurance for my last cleaning. Do not go here. I am now looking for a new dentist.

I've been seeing Dr. peters for many years and can't say enough good things about him and his office staff. Very professional and very sweet people. Gabby who runs the show is on top of all the details, and always fun to see, the hygienist is professional and thorough and if you need your teeth cleaned, this is the place. I'm so appreciative of all the services and people who make this a very nice business.
