Since 1961, Beaches Dentistry has been part of the Jacksonville community. Dr. Joseph Jumber, affectionately known as Dr. Joe, established Beaches Dentistry and focused on quality and personalized care for his patients.
He was known to be the first dentist in Jacksonville to incorporate the comfort of high-speed dental hand pieces. He pioneered the use of overdentures using the roots of few remaining healthy teeth. These overdentures were like modern-day implant-supported dentures. Dr. Joe was an internationally known lecturer who authored a dental textbook on overdentures, An Atlas of Overdentures and Attachments.
In 1976, Dr. Michael Jumber, famously knownas Dr. Mike, joined his fathers side and together they touched the lives of many in the Beaches community, until Dr. Joes passing in 1987. Dr. Mike and his wifeJudycontinued the family-oriented and personalized dental care with the values that Dr. Joe had instilled in them. As dentistry continued to evolve over the next 42 years, Dr. Mike provided his patients with all the advances in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, including dental implants and laser dentistry.
In 2017, Dr. Mike and Judy passed on the torch of Beaches Dentistry to Dr. Nodesh Shyamsunder. They chose Dr. Nodesh because of his advanced training in the specialty of prosthodonticsand, most importantly, his compassionate heart for their Beaches Family. The Jumber family now entrusts Dr. Nodesh and his family to provide the same quality and personalized care that the Jacksonville community has enjoyed for almost 60 years.
