We provide specialized dental care for infants, children, teens and individuals with special needs. Our goal is to maintain a lifetime of healthy smiles and that begins with a child's very first tooth. At our office you can expect to find a comfortable, fun and clean environment that provides the most comprehensive care for your child and family. Our staff members enjoy working with kids and are trained in the proper ways to help children overcome their fear and anxiety that can sometimes be present. We focus on teaching children as well as their caregivers the skills to develop and maintain a healthy and beautiful smile.
Our practice has been serving the Hampton Roads community with professional pediatric dental care since 1981. Dr. Jessica Clark joined the practice in 2014. We are conveniently located in Virginia Beach and easy to reach from any of the surrounding Hampton Roads cities. Dr. Jessica Clarkis Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and has surgical privileges at the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Dr. Jessica Clark has spent her life as a Beach Kid! She graduated from Frank W. Cox High School and then pursued her life dream of becoming a pediatric dentist while attending Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Following dental school, she completed a two-year residency at the Medical University of South Carolina where she received her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Jessica is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Virginia Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Tidewater Dental Association. She is also a credentialed surgical provider at the Childrens Hospital of the Kings' Daughters (CHKD).
She is passionate about educating families and her patients on dental health. When she's not taking care of little teeth, she can be found with her husband, son, and two daughters at her favorite place the beach!
Dr. Nathan Shapiro is a board-certified pediatric dentist and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2013. He attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate education prior to dental school. After earning his doctorate, he pursued his passion for providing care for pediatric patients with a two-year pediatric specialty residency at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Nate is originally from outside Boston, MA and has been a resident of Hampton Roads since 2016. He has privileges at the Children's Hospital of Kings' Daughters (CHKD). He is a member of the Virginia Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Maria is our Practice Administrator. She has been in the dental field since 2004. She has experience in both the clinical and business aspect of dentistry making Maria an excellent resource for parents and any questions they may have. She is also the coordinator for hospital dentistry with the Children's Hospital of Kings' Daughters (CHKD). Maria is originally from Maryland and currently resides in Virginia Beach. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and the beach.
Latesa chose to work in the pediatric dental field because she enjoys educating children on the importance of a healthy smile and good dental health. Latesa resides in Norfolk with her husband and her four children. Life outside work revolves around the childrens various school, work, and sports activities. She is also agraduateof Norfolk State University. In her spare time she enjoys shopping, traveling, reading and watching her favorite TV shows.
George joined the Beach Kids Dentistry team in February 2021 and brings over 3 years of Pediatric Dental Assistant experience. He enjoys working with children and helping them feel at ease during their dental visits. He loves working on cars and playing video games. In his free time, he enjoys walking along the beachfront with his wifeand2 young boys.
Anna has been in the dental field for 3 years, following the footsteps of her mother as a Dental Assistant. She loves working with children. When she is not in the office, you can find her spending time with her husband and their dog and cat.

My newly 3yr old is a sweet & shy little guy so I was a little nervous about his first cleaning etc knowing how nervous he gets. Let me tell you, our hygienist was EXCEPTIONAL!!! I truly give her ALL the credit on how amazing my boy did bc of how she interacted with him. The dentist was also fantastic & was quick, kind, informative and gentle, but the hygienist can set the whole vibe since she has the first interaction and I cant say enough how great she was, I wish I remembered her name!

I would highly recommend Dr. Clark and her staff! My boys are a bit nervous when it comes to the dentist and they take such good care of them, easing their nerves and making it a breeze. I appreciate Dr. Clark's clinical expertise and the fact that she does not push treatments that children are not quite comfortable with yet, for example, sealants. We are very happy with our experience at Beach Kids Dentistry!

We were referred here for a second opinion on our daughters cavity. We did not have the greatest experience here. The environment was not that welcoming. The receptionist did not seem thrilled to be there. The dental hygienist was pleasant, and had a great attitude and demeanor towards our daughter. There was a very strange show on the TV during our daughters exam, she asked if they could change the channel, but was told they only have 1 channel. Dr. Clark seemed uncomfortable around our daughter perhaps due to our daughter being younger than the majority of patients. Lastly, I called and respectfully asked why we were billed a certain way and was answered in a very demeaning and derogatory way. I understand people probably call and argue frequently. However, it is probably best to not assume that someone who calls with a question is calling to argue about a bill. Keep in mind parents of patients due not work in your field and may have questions for you. Providing a simple answer without any attitude is always best practice. We will be extremely excited to go back to our other dentist who provides a much better experience all around.

Our appointment today was amazing! My daughter is a nervous little one and last time didn't even want to open her mouth. Tiffany was absolutely amazing with her. She talked calmly to my daughter and worked with her to clean her teeth. Dr. Jessica is always patient and kind. We will continue to Beach Kids.

Another great visit to Beach Kids Dentistry! The staff is absolutely great with kids! They are excited to go to the dentist and get their teeth cleaned! We saw Dr. Nate this time and he was great and very thorough making sure he answered any questions or concerns I had. There were a lot of new faces and some old but the staff works as a team and are super friendly and inviting!

This was our first visit. Loved that they were able to take both of my kids at the same time. The hygienists were so friendly and focused on making sure the kids were comfortable. Dr. Shapiro also had a calm and professional demeanor. We are looking forward to making this our kid's forever dentist office.

I still take my 5'11" grandson to BK'sD ... the dentist's & staff are wonderful & I don't think we've ever waited more than 10 minutes after our appt time ... & I am a happy camper when my grandson makes the " No Cavities Club "
