Dr. Panucci thinks she was fated to be an orthodontist. Born the third of four daughters in 1975 in Pittsburgh, Penn., she demonstrated an unusual interest in teeth from a very early age. Her parents still talk about how the young Patti would enthusiastically brush her teeth several times a day. Even now, she has never had a cavity and does not have a single filling. Her parents encouraged her to pursue her dream of becoming an orthodontist and prepared her for the many years of schooling that were in her future.
After her familys relocation to Louisville, KY, she completed her final two years of high school at Sacred Heart Academy (an all-girls Catholic high school). She entered Ball State University (in Muncie, Ind. David Lettermans college), where she was a member of the Division I field hockey team for two years and received a B.S. in biology.
Then, it was off to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry for four years, where she graduated with a DMD degree (May 2000) among the Top 10 in her class. Following that, she headed west to Los Angeles to complete her three-year residency at one of the top-ranked orthodontic programs in the country the University of Southern California. Along with her certificate in orthodontics, Dr. Panucci earned a masters degree in craniofacial biology. During those three years, she fell in love with Southern California beach life and decided that this was where her future lay. Dr Panucci is now a leading orthodontist in Manhattan Beach and surrounding suburbs.
When you meet Dr. Panucci, you will notice that she loves to smile. Shed like to make smiling a contagious habit by helping others feel confident about their smiles. She prides herself on treating her patients with the utmost interest and consideration while, at the same time, providing them with the latest in cutting-edge orthodontic technology.
Dr. Panucci gives top priority to ensuring that all orthodontic treatment is tailored to each patients needs and lends her energy, enthusiasm and commitment to each individual. And as she always says, Everyone should love to smile.
As a teenager she had Ortho and was fascinated with the changes in her smile and knew she wanted to be in the dental field. She started her journey as an assistant taking introduction courses while in high school during her senior year in 2005. After graduation (June 2005) she fully committed to the dental assisting program at Cerritos College. During her training at Cerritos College she volunteered at USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and Long Beach Memorial Millers Childrens Hospital to gain experience working with patients and learning about the different specialties. Once she earned her certificate in 2006 along with her coronal polishing and x-ray certificates, she began working in the field as an Orthodontic assistant. Shortly after she earned her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Andrea was born and raised in Long Beach. Growing up in a family that loves sports she attends live sporting events as an avid Dodgers and USC fan. She enjoys spending time with her nieces playing sports such as softball and basketball as well as helping coach their teams. She also enjoy attending concerts, traveling, cooking spending time with her family and friends.
Geo joined the Beach Braces team in August 2020 as an orthodontic assistant. Geos goal is to establish a relationship with each patient and make them feel comfortable under her care. She enjoys coming to work every day and learning new techniques from Dr. Panucci.
Geo was introduced to orthodontics in 2013, right after high school. Since then, she has worked in both private offices and large orthodontic corporations. Her daily goal is to make every person she encounters smile.
Geo was raised in Los Angeles. She is a home body and enjoys her time off with her significant other and her two dogs Kylo & Harley. Her favorite hobby is cooking and she loves creating her own recipes. Geo also enjoys watching crime documentaries in her spare time.
Their goal is to help families, who cannot afford the full cost of braces, secure treatment for their children by connecting them with local orthodontic providers willing to donate theirservices to deserving patients.
Becoming an orthodontic provider for Smiles Change Lives was a no-brainer. I am blessed with the opportunity to use my professional skills to help kids love to smile. Creating beautiful smiles is a fantastic way for me to give back to the Los Angeles community by instilling self-confidence in todays youth.
