Since starting my practice, I have continued my orthodontic and dental education in order to ensure that my patients always receive the highest quality and most comfortable treatments. I have taken courses through the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, Align Technologies, Opal Orthodontics, and the Invisalign Summit. My continuing education helps me utilize updated clinical procedures and also manage our practice so we can provide a truly relaxing and wonderful experience for our patients. I am a member of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
At the end of treatment, my goal is to exceed the expectations of our patients or parents. Whether that means a beautiful smile, faster treatment, a comfortable experience or a personal connection, we want to know our patients well enough to give them exactly what they want and more!
I am an active member of our community and pride myself as a true servant and volunteer. I attend Cumberland Community Church of Smyrna. I have been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority for over 35 years and have transitioned into being a life member.

My son and I just got our braces off. This experience was life changing. I say that because I grew up with a fear of dental work. Every appointment we were meant with punctuality, professionalism, and absolute top-notch care. Our treatment plan was always explained in detail. We never worried about feeling pain because they were skilled and attentive. Over two years of appointments and not one bad experience. I can't say enough about how great this experience was. We have been going to this practice for almost 3 years and it has been absolutely pleasant and professional since day 1. The ENTIRE team is knowledgeable, resourceful and go above and beyond to ensure a positive patient/family experience. My daughter also has ADHD and a sensory deficit and the team are always patient and loving towards my child. She loves coming in for her appts and always leaves happy!

Wonderful service, discount for cash payment. They'll accommodate most issues. ENTIRE STAFF is as friendly and hospitable as you could hope for, and the dental staff are gentle, compassionate and understanding; taking special care with my son who has autism. They even remember the kid's name soon as we enter. I'm a germaphobe, and we've never left and gotten sick. They have sanitizer at the front door, and it's ALWAYS filled. Every room I've been in- lobby, finance/administration office, dental care- always so clean. Highly recommend!

The orthodontist in town!!! Highly recommend. My daughter and I have been patients here for the past two 19 months and I'm so very happy for this referral from Dr. J. Howard. I love BE Ortho. Dr. Carter and her team are literally amazing. Kim W. & Jennifer (front office) are great representations of this establishment. Both woman are personable, patient, and welcoming. Kim W is intelligent and hilarious; being in her chair means you're in good hands! Honestly, all the staff is pretty amazing and smart. They all care and it's apparent in the treatment of the patients and teeth. Would def recommend 10/10 experience. Btw, I've been a patient since I was 17 and I'm now 27. This is my second go round bc I was too young to care for my teeth before but they always welcome me back in with open arms!

I started my journey in 2017 I couldn't have picked a better place for braces....every staff members to the 2 amazing orthodontists were all Good sent....I felt welcomed each and everytime feels like a family environment relaxed positive atmosphere....ok ok ok enough about them....Let me talk about my teeth yal.....My teeth are simply beautiful I get sooooo many compliments on how beautiful my teeth are....some even thinks they are fake because of how straight they are....Thank you thank you..

Was a patient years ago,was excited to see the staff. WORST experience in life. After the person in the front completely humiliated me about my cosmetic treatment with what SHE felt was an appropriate joke, in front of a waiting area of patients...I said i would never returned as I left in tears and sat crying in my vehicle. The irony? I recieved a baby shower invitation months later. Couldn't take a but of time to contact me to find out why I said I wouldn't return, but dug up my address to send a baby shower invitation. Absolutely horrible... that took the cake I contacted them about it and the rude response I recieved was even worse especially bejng who it came from at that point. This was an experience I will NEVER forget.
