Born and raised in Bridge City, Texas, Dr. Matt Hicks attended Bridge City High School and then went on to receive Bachelors degrees in both Biology and Chemistry from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Then he attended the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In 2018, he will become the youngest doctor to complete the one-year fellowship in implant surgery and implant reconstruction at the TexMAX AAID Implant MaxiCourse, which is accredited by the prestigious American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Hicks is passionate about continuing his education and spends much of his free time taking advanced courses to improve and create an environment that puts an emphasis on quality patient care and comfort.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Hicks and his wife, Cydni, are avid Astros fans who try to attend as many home games as possible. On nice days, you will likely catch him relaxing at the beach or on the water fishing.

I got my teeth cleaned here today, i purchased a cleaning for myself as a birthday gift to myself. i am SO happy. i had build up on my teeth that made them look gross honestly i didn't know what to expect, i figured maybe they could get my teeth cleaned up some but they got it ALL removed. my heart is so happy, they were so amazing to me, gave me so much information. the ladies in the office were sweet. my hygienist was caring. & they have top of the line equipment with cameras for teeth, 3D scanning & of course x-rays. 10/10 would recommend. when leaving i received a pamphlet about their non insurance plans & i think they are GREAT options.

My family and I use Bayview dental and they're not only friendly, but professional and personable at the same time. Ashley was super sweet and comforted me while I was in pain. Tristan was also very sweet and accommodating. I highly recommend Bayview Dental!!!

Amazing! I haven't been to the dentist in years plus I just moved to the area so I was searching high and low for a permanent dental family. The staff from beginning to end made me feel so welcomed. They were informative about everything and made sure I understood the reasoning behind every step. I scheduled my next appointment immediately because I have no concerns for this office .. Had not seen a dentist in years and called their office in the morning and explained my problem and they were able to work me in that same day! When Dr Ngo confirmed my fears that I needed a tooth pulled, I was expecting to have to make another separate appointment to have that done, but that didn't happen, he gave me the option to have it pulled right then. Everything went so smoothly and all the staff were great.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Bayview Dental! I broke a tooth and was seen right away! And let me tell you how professional Dr. Hicks and his assistant were. Dr. Hicks said thank you many times to his assistant while treating my tooth and made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. He truly cares about his patients and his staff and it shows. I highly recommend this office to everyone for their "BEST CARE", his beautiful work and professional staff. I can truly say it's the best experience I've ever had in any dental office.

Omg! Absolutely love this place! I have terrible anxiety about going to the dentist but Marcos was amazing and talked me through everything. The whole staff was very friendly and I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know. P.S. Lauren is a sweetheart!!
