Dr. Lev Kandov received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Prior to that, he attended CUNY Queens College where he graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. Dr. Kandov completed a one-year residency program at Stony Brook University Hospital where he obtained extensive surgical and restorative implant training, as well as cosmetic and general restorative training. To further develop his surgical implant technique, he completed a vigorous six months training program at the Dental Implant Learning Institute.
In addition, Dr. Kandov is constantly attending continuing education courses in all aspects of dentistry so that he can ensure that his patients receive the most current dental treatment. He has extensive experience in implant placement and restorations, oral surgery, root canal therapy, pediatric dentistry, single-visit crowns and porcelain fillings using CEREC, and laser & cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Kandov is currently part of the Academy of General Dentistry where he is pursuing a Fellowship. He is the proud recipient of America 's Top Dentists 2014 -2018 (plaques distributed by Consumer 's Research Council of America). Dr. Kandov 's mission statement is 'to provide the highest quality care in a safe, stress-free, and compassionate environment while educating and motivating you to achieve your optimal level of dental health and well-being.'

The care and the service from front desk to dentist was the best. Needed a Route canal and Dr. Lev and assistant were both very gentle and amazing. From the moment walked into the office, the Front desk staff were the warmest and friendliest ever. Would highly recommend Bayside Family Dental to handle your dental needs with expertise and most importantly with care.

Dr. Lev Kandov and the staff are great! I'm so glad I found this place. If you need a dentist, go here. And if you want an amazing orthodontist, Bayview Orthodontics is right across the hall.

I'm so happy excited to share my experiences with the most dedicated doctor I've been to so far and I'm not a young chicken Dr. Lev makes you relax as he does his magic all the way through the procedure, which is so much easier for you to know what's going on. His staff is friendly and helpful with everything that you need. The office is immaculate and beautiful I finally found my dentist!!

This is a very professional and friendly business. They clearly care about and respect their patients. They are considerate of people's time and finances by being flexible with appointments and clear and up front about costs. While going to a dentist is rarely a pleasure trip they made it as pleasurable an experience as someone could have.

It is one of the most important things in a family to have a dedicated, reliable and responsible dentist and orthodontist who love what they do and it truly shows in their devotion and care for their patients. Professionalism was at its best frim start to finished, its like being a part of a loving and caring family everyone is just so on point in making you feel at home This was an awesome experience where the staff are willing to go thr extra mile to ensure you are not just okay but also feel okay. The plsce was clean, the hygienist was so detailed not to mention Amanda she was the first one I interact with and it was so so awesome to know that we still have people with professionalism as their priority around and not afraid to let it be seen and experienced.

Bayside Family Dental is amazing. The staff is extraordinary - Marie, Amanda, Jeanine, Parvin and of course Dr. Lev. The office is clean, serene and has all the modern machines. Everyone is warm, welcoming and makes the dental experience so enjoyable. It was my first visit and I must say I was wondering why ALL dentist offices are not so efficient and thorough. You even get a goodie bag to go (toothpaste & a toothbrush & a toy for the kiddos). I am beyond impressed. My teeth feel so clean. I'm loving my smile today.

I think I finally found my forever dental office. When I first called to make an appointment (in mid January) for my overdue annual, the earliest I was able to make was beginning of March, however, the person who assisted me over the phone (sorry, for got your name!) was kind enough to add me to the waiting list so if there's any cancellation she said she would call me. Next week, I received a phone call from a same person that they got a surprise cancellation and was able to fit me in right away! Their customer service is terrific, and I have zero complaint. When I walked into the clinic, it was sparkling/shining clean and very well organized. They seem like they don't overbook, so I was brought into the exam room within less than 5 minutes of arrival- WOW, no wait time at the doctor's office? The dental assistant took my dental rads, made me comfortable, and seemed very knowledgeable. She took very thorough dental rads and photos to visualize before and after photos to patients, and also to have better understanding while Dr. Kandov explains his exam findings. Then, Dr. Kandov walked in with warm greetings, and he thoroughly examined my jaws, gums, and teeth- complete oral exam. He spoke in a very kind and professional manner and he gave me his opinions and suggestions, listened to my concerns and questions, and answered them one by one. He didn't force/push for any treatment nor make me feel uncomfortable (because dental expenses can come out high!). His wife is a orthodontist, right next door, and he referred me right away after listening to my questions on invisalign- they were able to book my appointment ASAP and I'm looking forward to visit them as well!

Dr. Kandov is by far the most professional and experienced dentist I have ever seen. I went there the first time to fix my filling that was done from another dental. Doctor was very professional and fixed my filling. It is perfect now. Dr. Kandov is also very caring. He cares about all his patients. The second time I went for cavity fillings doctor asked about the condition of those fixed fillings he did for me last time. I feel warmed. The office is recently renovated, the environment is nice. All the office staffs are very knowledgeable in their position and treated everyone politely. Highly recommended!
