Our strongest fundamental is to develop a comprehensive treatment plan, unique to each patient. We work with each patient's specific needs and requests to tailor a plan which is conducive to their needs and desires and, most importantly, to their schedules.

With each patient, we start by establishing a knowledge base with the current conditions of their mouth. A comprehensive examination is performed which includes radiographs of the patients entire mouth, as well as a visual examination of the teeth and tissues surrounding and supporting them. Information about each patient's dental and medical history can be gathered as well, which will help ensure a safe and effective course of action.

Our first priority is to establish a plan to ensure proper dental hygiene and dental health. Even with today's advances, nothing beats a strong, healthy set of one's own teeth. One of Dr. Law's strongest beliefs is to help each patient understand, in layman's terms, what needs to be done to correct an ongoing problem and move forward to healthy maintenance of the teeth and gums. Once sound dental health is achieved, Dr. Law can also work with patients to move from having healthy teeth to moving towards the ideal. Many options can be explored at this point, and Dr. Law can fully explain these options and how they may benefit each patient. Not every option will work for all patients, and Dr. Law's expertise and experience will help guide these patients to the proper options which will work for them.

Like anything we do in life, flexibility is important. We understand that situations can change, and treatment plans may need to be altered to ensure the results desired. Some treatment plans may involve multiple procedures to complete, and for personal or financial reasons, it may take additional time to complete each step. Dr. Law understands this intimately, having a family of four at home, and will work with each patient to develop stages in their unique treatment plan so that 'breaks' can be taken so each patient can go at a pace that suits them. The options will always be there, but the level and quality of care will never be anything less than the best.

Finally, we understand that many patients may have had some tough experiences with their dental experiences earlier in life. Dr. Law has learned many techniques that can help ease any anxiety any patient may have. These techniques, coupled with her excellent dexterity have had all her patients raving about how gentle and painless their experiences with her have been. Knowing that the dental care she provides is as pleasant as it is, and as effective as it is, many patients have done well to adhere to their treatment plans, and look forward to reaching their goals for their teeth and gums.

The staff at Bayside Dental are incredible! Been going to Dr. Law for over 10 years and it just feels like family. I drive an hour to see the team and will continue to. This is what all other dental practices should model themselves after. Great job Dr. Law and team!!! See you in 6 months!

I booked a check up and cleaning at Dr. Law's dental practice. At the appointment Dr. Law informed me that I needed three fillings redone. Sadly, I had a very bad experience for the following two reasons: 1. Regarding my insurance Before my first appointment, I called to check that my insurance was accepted and was told that it would be. Additionally, on my first visit, the receptionist, Pam, took my insurance card and examined the details of my policy online. She told me that my insurance was excellent and better than many policies. I was left with the impression that my insurance would cover most of the cost of my treatment, and that I had nothing to worry about. However, I later received an invoice showing the total cost of treatment was $1,100, of which only a third was covered. When I asked my insurance why they had not covered more of the cost, they told me that Dr. Law's practice was out of network. I called to confirm and was told by the receptionist, Pam, that they were out of network. To have not been told this at any time previously, not when I called, not on any of my visits, not when my insurance policy itself was examined by the receptionist and not even when I was told by this receptionist that I had a great policy, is, in my view, at the very least, disingenuous. I believe that an honest, decent practice would not have omitted this important piece of information when asked "do you accept my insurance policy?" 2. Dr. Law's inability to carry out a simple procedure: filing down my fillings. After the three fillings were redone, my retainers no longer fit properly since the fillings were left too high, which caused me discomfort. I made a further appointment to have the fillings filed down. At this appointment, Dr. Law did not even look at my teeth and told me that she could not file down my fillings for various reasons which I did not understand, including that "it was too hard to figure out which filling needed to be filed down". Her solution was to get new retainers made. I also later found that I had pain when eating on the filling that was left too high, although I did not notice this pain until after I had stopped seeing Dr. Law. Since I no longer trusted Dr. Law, I went to see another dentist. He was able to quickly identify and file down my fillings, noting that they had been left too high. I didn't even have to tell him which fillings needed correcting, since it was it was so obvious to him. My original retainers now fit and the pain is gone. As a side note: on my final appointment, Pam, the receptionist, took it upon herself to argue with me, loudly discussing certain details of my private medical records in front of another patient. I felt attacked by this and left in tears.
