Dr. Moe graduated with Doctor of Dental surgery (D.D.S) with Perio honors from NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Mohit Modgil, or as we like to call him, Dr. Moe, holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Systems Engineering from Stony Brook University. While he was a 4th year student at NYUCD, Dr. Moe pursued a Mini Residency at Odyssey House in Harlem, to provide his services in dentistry to the underserved community pro bono for one year.
Dr. Moe completed a 1 year Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) after graduating from NYUCD. At SBUH, Dr. Moe furthered his understanding and knowledge of dentistry by working in the O.R. to provide full mouth rehabilitative services to both Pediatric and Developmentally disabled patients under general anesthesia. Additionally, he pursues many continuing education programs every year to learn and provide dental care with evidence based, newer, better techniques.
Dr. Moe combines his dental knowledge with his engineering background to think long term and in comprehensive fashion when devising treatment plans for his patients. Due to his engineering background, Dr. Moe tries to plan ahead for any complications that may arise by preparing for procedures before he begins his day in office.
Dr. Moe focuses on delivering quality care. Every procedure is explained in detail so you know the rationale behind the treatment. Dr. Moe believes that we are partners with our patients in caring for their dental needs and as such we follow an interactive approach when planning your treatment. We discuss your dental needs and the available treatment options in great detail. Your concerns and opinions will be considered in making a treatment plan and Pros/Cons/Limitations/Complications are all discussed before starting your treatment.
Dr. Moe is married to his high school sweetheart and has two young sons with whom he enjoys his free time. He lives in Port Jefferson Station. Dr. Moe likes to read scientific journals, latest medical research and takes continuing education to keep updated on both dental and medical issues/technologies.

I too had a horrid experience with this place. I told them I hadn't eaten in 3 days because it was a Monday morning and my pain started friday.... It was the first I could be seen, The doctor didn't help, didn't offer comfort, or support, immediately started explaining painful and horrid procedures and scared me into tears, he didn't care I was hysterical and hadn't eaten, he told me this was the way it is because I didn't come see him sooner. He is a lot like many of the other sick dentists I have met, just plain cruel and mean. I then tried for 3 days to get my x rays because I STILL HAD NOT EATEN... the office was horrible, first they answered said they would send x ray release, 2 hours go by, no release, bear in mind I am trying to get my x rays to see a doctor SO THAT I CAN EAT. We called over and over and Gabriella told us the office WAS SWAMPED! So my husband went to the office himself and after Gabriella LIED ABOUT BEING SO BUSY he walked into a VACANT office with the doctor himself standing right at the desk who actually was the one to get him the form in the SWAMPED office. Gabriella is a liar and lazy, she doesn't even work in the office, so just know that when you call. The doctor is cruel and mean and this place should be avoided at all costs!!! people this is a dentist! They treated me horribly and then asked for a bunch of good reviews from clients... A DENTIST.......... SHAMEFUL! and SHADY, this is a terrible place. PERIOD.

The hygienist is very informative and helpful. Takes her job very seriously. Receptionist very helpful with insurance billing. I like Dr. Mo too. He remembers who you are!!

Worst experience of my life. The doctor didn't listen, was horribly rude, nasty and scary to a terrified patient. No bed side manor, let me leave after knowing I hadn't eaten in days, threatened me that no dentist would be willing to help me. I had never worked with this man, I cried to staff explaining how terrified and in pain I was, and the doctor entered, verbally abused me, and allowed me to leave, stand outside his office hysterically crying for 10 minutes waiting to be picked up, and then made it next to impossible to get my ex ray. His secretary lied telling me the office was packed and busy, I am disabled, i took a cab to the office for my ex rays so I could see another dentist and finally feel better and be able to eat, and the office was EMPTY the doctor was standing at the front desk himself without a single patient there. The secretary as it turns out, works FROM HOME and lied through her teeth about the whole situation. I cannot say enough bad things about this money grubbing man who shouldn't be a doctor after his gross malpractice treatment towards me.

I've been a patient of Dr Mo for years. He is the best!!! He has helped me through many dental issues with competent caring ethical care. Always doing the best for me explaining what is happening, as I am sure he does for all his patients , the staff is awesome and no matter what is happening they make me feel comfortable and well cared for.

If I could give NO STARS I WOULD! The doctor was horrible. He wouldn't listen to my concerns and only wanted to handle things HIS WAY, which meant MORE MONEY FOR HIM. Obviously. I wanted a referral and to see an oral surgeon, but this of course, mean he makes less money off me... so he recommended tons of painful procedures and I know they don't work. He threatened that no other dentist would help me, and was just all around terrible. I left hysterical in tears and waited for my husband to pick me up, crying outside for 10 minutes and no one came to me, no one checked or cared as I hysterically cried outside their store front so if you want a doctor like this, then GO FOR IT! RESPONSE TO YOUR EXCUSES: I didn't know this dentist, never used him before other than one time when he couldn't help me due to COVID. fine, not his fault, but I have no trust for him, I came in and he knew I had not eaten solid foods in 4 days and was STARVING, he didn't gain ym trust, speak to me kindly, treat me with respect so I would trust him to help me, instead he threatened me, told me no one will help me and allowed me to leave without doing a single thing, not even prescribing meds for my clear and painful infection. He could have offered to HELP that day and then maybe I would have trusted him enough for all the other things he was throwing at me, a terrified patient who had already been crying to Shannon, the only nice person there! This was sick malpractice and people need to know. He did not help, he did not act in my best interest and no one cared when I stood outside HYSTERICAL for 10 minutes waiting to be picked up...... THESE ARE THE FACTS OF HOW THIS DENTIST TREATED ME.... make excuses, or ACT BETTER next time PERIOD!

Dr. Mo and his assistant Alonzo (who was a temp that day) were excellent I had some fillings done and Dr. Mo was so gentle and very professional and explained everything he was doing I even received a face massage by his assistant after he was halfway through my work (never before have I received that treatment) I will be going back to have more work done and will look forward to it unlike dreading it as I always have (I'm a big baby). Dr. Mo you're the best!

I had to come in to have an emergency cavity filled and they got me in THAT day as a new patient. I was in pain and they were nothing but nice helpful and supportive. I booked my next appointment and can't wait to get my fiance in as a patient as well. One of the best dentist I have been too! I usually don't leave reviews but they definitely deserve 5 stars!!

This was by far the best dental experience I've ever had in my life. Over the course of the last six months I need to get a lot of work done that I had been putting off mainly due to the fact that I've had some pretty bad experiences with other dentists. From my very first appointment, I was treated with respect and friendly service. Dr. Chabre did an amazing job on all the work that I needed to get done. Gabriella, the receptionist was always so kind to me and Shannon, the dental hygienist was absolutely amazing. I had my last visit yesterday and I found myself feeling sad that I wouldn't be coming back again as I am moving in two months. They are so good, that I would even consider taking a trip from Florida if I ever needed any major work done because I finally found a practice I trust and all of the work was painless. I don't often write reviews, But I felt compelled to do so here. I can't recommend them enough. Special thanks to everyone at the practice for making this a painless and easy process.

I've been going to this practice for the last 4 years. I can't say enough great things about them. Dr. Mo is fantastic as are his staff and their hygienist. Their hours are great as they have nights and weekends available and will always fit in an emergency.
