Love this establishment. Modern, clean, and cool: From front desk to the chair---where most feel a bit nervous or uneasy-- I was taken care of by sweet, friendly staff. Dr Guzman and Dr Q are great. Tu is an amazingly skilled Hygienist. I left with a clean smile and a good plan for working on these choppers.

I went in for a routine check up and cleaning after having not been to a dentist since before COVID. After Xrays, etc, everything looked really good, though I was recommended a deep cleaning for which I would have to pay out of pocket. I initially agreed and scheduled the deep cleaning for a different date. Later, I decided that I'd rather not pay out of pocket for extra services, and called back to update the appointment from a deep cleaning to a regular cleaning. I was told that they will not perform the regular cleaning on me for ethical reasons, as the diagnosis called for the deep cleaning. I can understand that a routine cleaning may not be as effective as the deep clean, but it certainly can't hurt anything. I still don't understand the refusal to do a routine cleaning simply because you think your patient needs more. That actually sounds more unethical to me. But, I guess I'll just try somewhere else...

I just recently started going here and I love it. I spoke to Hector and he walked me through my treatment and help me understand the procedures. Dr Corral was my dentist and he was also AMAZING! Funny and caring, she made sure I was okay the whole time and insure me that it would be painless. The office is beautiful and very high tech. Recommend!! Now my Smile is big and Pearly White

I found Bayou City Smiles through their endorsement as the Best Dentist in Houston by OutSmart Magazine. Oftentimes, awards received can be measures of popularity not quality so I was unsure if Bayou City Smiles would measure up as the best. I decided to try them out since I need a dentist on this side of town and Spring is a long drive from Pearland with a numb mouth. Let me tell y'all I am so happy I did! I arrived early and Hector greeted me immediately. I was guided to a computer screen across from the receptionist desk for new patient paperwork, but I had already filled everything out through the convenient link they had emailed me the day before I arrived. They had also called and texted me to confirm my appointment. On my first visit, I was led to the back by Kei'a and welcomed by the hygienist, Chriszelda. First, it's a wonderful feeling to be treated by medical professionals who look like you. They understand the ways your cultural background and day-to-day life play a role in your dental care. They are very thorough in asking you questions about your patterns to determine the impact on your teeth. And with that segue I'll note my second point which is, during their line of questioning I was very gently asked something no hygienist or dentist had ever asked me before. Had I experienced disordered eating? I had. I also had not shared that information with a hygienist before in any dental appointment. If I'd been asked by anyone other than Chriszelda I'm not sure I would have shared, but she made me feel safe enough to tell her the truth. From that moment on, she never left my side. She gave me a deep cleaning explaining to me the importance of visiting the dentist every six months and gently encouraging me to take better care of myself while we traded stories about our families. By the time Dr. Q came in to inspect my teeth and greet me, Chriszelda and I were friends. Dr. Q went over my concerns and addressed what was urgent. He made me feel cared for, seen, and attended to in a way that no dentist or medical professional had ever took the time to listen. I wanted his opinion on some cosmetic procedures, and he was thoughtful, but careful not to insert his bias. In that appointment I realized how much I dislike going to any kind of doctor appointment, but Dr. Q and Chriszelda made me feel great enough to where I want to return. Them and their banging playlist. Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Destiny's Child, Kelly Clarkson? Yes, please! Last, they give you a fuzzy blanket if you get cold during your appointment. I always get cold in dentist offices, so I really appreciate this extra touch of care. Is it weird to say I can't wait to go back to see my dentist? I found out I can also request the hygienist I like to spend time with, so I've already requested Chriszelda for my next visit. Thanks, Dr. Quincy and Chriszelda! Y'all are the best.

I read the amazing reviews and started going to this dental office. Be cautious if you do decide to try this place, which I don't recommend. The women in the front do not know what they are doing. Last year I was seen for a dental cleaning and a filling and I was given the estimated cost of the visit about a month before my appointment. I went into my appointment thinking I would pay the amount agreed, which was about $300. After the filling, they took me aside and told me they could not do the cleaning because my insurance didn't cover it since I exceeded my benefits. They pretty much wanted to charge me about $800 or so after the fact that they had already given me a quote. Be very careful when you go to this place, the quote apparently changed because they weren't paying attention to the insurance information. The whole experience was very stressful because due to their incompetence.

Dr. Marcus de Guzman is the absolute best! I'm not even exaggerating. He is so precise and knowledgeable in his job. He makes you feel incredibly comfortable and well taken care of. I honestly could not go to another dentist and would be so sad if I ever moved and couldn't bring him with me! He is truly Houston's most caring, educated, and skilled dentist! Also, the staff are absolutely precious! They're always so kind and helpful. Really down to earth people that always make you feel warm and like you've known them your whole life. Kate is my dental hygienist and I'm always so thankful for the laughs I share with her. Truly a gem of a girl!

Dr Q is awesome!!! He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain exactly what procedures are being done; an excellent quality for a doctor. The staff are all so friendly and informed. Came in for a cleaning in the morning, was told I needed a filling and they squeezed me in later that afternoon! Highly recommend

I was just refused a cleaning because I would not pay for "deep cleaning". I asked to them to please just do the cleaning that was fully covered by my insurance and they said "it would not be worth it". So my teeth are in need of a deep clean but it's not worth it to do a basic cleaning instead because that's what covered by my insurance? For reference, the deep cleaning they were insistent in doing was $98 AFTER insurance. I called a month before my appointment to verify they accepted my insurance and what the cost of the appointment would be. They never mentioned that there were different levels of cleaning or that there would be a potentially higher cost than what I was quoted, which was $0, since the 'basic' cleaning is all that is fully covered. Make sure you ask for the prices for all 3 of their cleaning options before making an appointment and wasting your time. Never in my life have I been refused a service because I asked a healthcare provider to perform duties covered by insurance.

Thank you Bayou City Smiles for my new crown. I really can't believe it is so easy. Christian scanned my tooth, then put it in the cubic zirconia printer, baked it and done, Dr Coral is the greatest dentist in the world, it was a pain fee experience and I used gas. I now have the hardest substance ever as a crown on my tooth and it only took 2 1/2 pain free hours around and about $600. Fantastic! What a great team.

Thank you Bayou City Smiles for an awesome dental experience. I have always had a fear of dentist and you all made my experience very easy. Everyone is very professional from the front office, financial coordinator to Dr. Guzman. I had my exam and dental cleaning done today. My dental cleaning was not painful and every step was explained in detail. I will be back when it it time to do it again!
