Since 2010, our orthodontists, Dr. Thuy Nguyen and associates, and team have been stoked to offer excellent orthodontics in Abbeville, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, New Iberia and New Orleans, Louisiana. To better serve our diverse community, our team collectively speaks English, Spanish and Vietnamese. The employees at Bayou Braces seemed really laid back, and some very professional. It was a nice mix. Overall, everyone seemed friendly. Over two and a half years, I worked with three different doctors, and they were all on the same page. The results are STUNNING, and I'm very grateful and happy to have a smile worth showing. My entire life, I had to cover my mouth when I would laugh. I had an impacted canine and a baby tooth, and the doctors did a wonderful job getting it into place. After years of seeing horror stories about people's experiences, I was so afraid to get braces, but this place did a great job. I do wish I could've gotten invisalign or spark after my canine tooth came into place. Being in my mid twenties, I was getting a little self conscious about the metal in my mouth. Also, braces scratch up your cheeks, are difficult to eat with, and painful when you get adjustments. One year of the experience was actually getting the teeth straight and correcting my jaw so I kept thinking it would be nice to wear the clear and comfortable stuff during that time. If Bayou Braces offered that to me, that would've made the experience much better. Right now, I'm wearing retainers, and am hoping they don't shift back. If in the future, I experience any shifting, I may opt for a cheaper place instead coming back here. There are many options out there if you have any minor shifting. Overall the experience was great, and all of the doctors and staff were sweet and attentive. Thank you for your patience and kindness towards me Bayou Braces.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. When u call their office for appointments the barely answers or schedule u far out, they are also unprofessional. I had braces on for almost 4 years and when they took them off my teeth shifted within 3 months went back and they wanted to charges me 3000 just to put them back on the top.I rather pay someone else that's going to do right then to give them anymore of my money.

I just want to publicly thank the Baton Rouge location on Perkins everyone there has good hospitality... I wanna personally speak on the best DR TEIN she's so down to earth and goes above and beyond not only that she have a personality out this world she will light up the room.. she definitely make you feel comfortable AS IF you're family lol that's my girl TINY T aka big money T #DRTEIN SHE DEFINITELY MAKE Bayou braces look hella good the best hands down she represent bayou braces well. Also big S|O who personally assist me as well Brittany M.. and Charlie love them! -Dereka

Everyone here nice and professional. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and got all of my questions answered. They also really try to work with you as far as payment plans to make it affordable as possible for you!

I was referred to this place by a few of my friends but they go to different locations. I will just make this short and sweet, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ESPECIALLY WITH BR LOCATION! These people lied to me and took my deposit and didn't even try to resolve the issue of who told me what! I made my payment thinking they were going to do what they said, which was put on my braces now, and allow the fillings to be done later after I spent $10,000 worth of work in my mouth thinking I was going to be able to do what THEY PROMISED. Which is fix my teeth! It's been a long road of me trying to do this, 3 years to be exact and these people told me "their doctor didn't feel like putting on and taking off brackets in a few months"... so basically YOU ARE LAZY? Got it! Don't waste your time, unprofessional and refuses to even see me to discuss why their office told me one thing and one of the doctors told me one thing to turn around and tell me they couldn't do it! GO TO MISURACA ORTHO! I got in with them and they were ready to put my braces on same day, they are thorough and professional and even told me my back teeth didn't even need the brackets on right now anyways! Money loss for bayou braces!

My daughter is a currently a patient I am pleased with the quality of braces and her teeth are getting straight however I gave a 1 star rating because of poor customer service! They rarely answer the phone and when you finally get through to someone like the billing department to leave a message.... They never call back! It's just ridiculous

I called this morning to schedule a consultation, I was asked if I could hold on li replied yes and was placed on hold for six minutes. When the person whom answered the phone returned she refused to schedule my appointment because she says that she had to get a lot of information and did not have the time. I questioned why again and she did not say anything she just placed me on hold!!

I waited a few days to post this review because i was extremely irritated, as i was getting the left over glue removed the doctor left me there with a mouth FULL of blood and saliva... The assistant had to come and help me and rinse my mouth off after 20 full minutes of waiting... That's ridiculous and unsanitary. Not only did i have to wait almost a hour in a room that was being renovated, but i had to sit there pregnant with a mouth full of blood and glue particles... I would never return..

Today 6/18/21- 2 stars, my grandson need an emergency visit braces replaced on after deep cleaning, wire sticking in his jaw, nobody is calling back in a timely manner to fix this painful problem, THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT I SM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH! To sum it up I'm not paying for PAIN AND SUFFERING!

Here again. Receptionist are rude and unprofessional. Each time you go the amount is different than amount given over the phone. You can't reach them on the phone OR schedule ortho appointments in person. This has been the worst experience and I definitely do not recommend
