Dr. Patricia Chiu received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School. Upon graduating at the top of her dental school class, Dr. Chiu was accepted into the prestigious University of Michigan Orthodontics Program, where she received three years of specialty training and a post-doctoral Master of Science degree. In 2001, she returned to Boston where she grew up to begin her orthodontic career.
As a firm believer in evidence-based treatment, Dr. Chiu participated in research projects in dental and orthodontic schools. In September of 2005, she co-authored an article that was published in a major orthodontics journal, the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Chiu is an active member of many leading dental and orthodontic organizations, including theAmerican Dental Association,American Association of Orthodontists, andthe Northeast Society of Orthodontists.
When not taking care of her patients, Dr. Chiu cherishes spending time with her husband and young daughters, Avery and Audrey. She is an avid reader, has a keen interest in architecture, and has visited almost twenty countries.

Ashely has a comprehensive knowledge of finance and insurance. She always tries her best to get the insurance companies to fulfill their obligations to our patients. Additionally, Ashely is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant so she can answer many clinical questions that you might have. In other words, Ashely is Wonder Woman.
Mary is a graduate of Massasoit Community Colleges Dental Assisting Program. She is a board-certified orthodontic assistant and dental assistant. Mary works alongside Dr. Chiu to ensure our patients have a comfortable, efficient orthodontic experience.Mary loves spending time with her cute little boy, Kellan, and her large extended family in the Norwood area.
Lori is a graduate of Massasoit Community Colleges Dental Assisting Program and has certification in dental assisting. She loves the one-on-one time she spends with our patients, helping them to achieve the beautiful smile they deserve. Fun fact: Lori has a photographic memory for names and faces.
Brianne is a Registered Dental Assistant. She works hard in making sure our patients are well taken care of. Brianne is also our resident artist who paints in her spare time and takes care of our office decorations.

I had a fantastic experience with everyone at Dr. Chiu's office. I'm not the easiest to deal with and wanted the braces on and off within a year for my wedding. Not only did they make this happen but everyone was always so pleasant and personable. Thanks again!!

My teen just had their braces removed after Dr Chiu managed not just her orthodontics but a complicated jaw surgery by Dr Mehra. To say this was complicated is an understatement. Dr Chiu had outlined the process and all the possibilities before we started, her timeline was on point. There were no surprises which both of us appreciated. The support staff was caring and efficient. They worked with us to accommodate our schedule and cared for my teen beautifully. I will not say that major jaw surgery and braces is a good time but Dr Chiu and everyone at Bay State Orthodontics were amazing partners and the end result is fantastic. We are incredibly grateful for their work and highly recommend them!

I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Baystate Orthodontics and the entire staff. My three children have had orthodontic treatment with Dr. Chiu. My daughter's case was unusual because she had two congenitally missing upper teeth that were toward the front of her mouth. I was told by a general dentist that she would most likely need two implants. After a consult with Dr.Chiu, she put together a treatment plan that just involved NINE months of braces on just her upper teeth and NO implants needed! My daughter and I were so thrilled with the outcome. All three of my children's teeth came out so beautiful! The dental assistants are so professional, gentle and kind. The receptionist was so patient and accommodating when scheduling appointments. Also, I never had to wait long in the waiting room to be seen. I highly recommend having your orthodontic done here. My braces came off today after a year and my teeth are great. What a transformation. Dr Chiu is fantastic both in skill and personality and the entire staff takes her lead. I highly recommend Bay State to both young and mature.

Dr. Chiu and staff did an awesome job with my daughter's teeth. She had a lot issues going on in her mouth and had to have adult teeth taken out but you would never know that now! My daughter loves how her teeth came out and smiles all the time. Dr. Chiu and the staff are the best!

The Bay State Orthodontics practice is wonderful. When we met Dr Chiu during the initial consultation, we knew we had found the right Orthodontist for our child. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, and personable. Throughout our child's treatment, Dr Chiu and her staff were always nice and great. Our child's teeth look awesome, and the pricing was reasonable. Highly, highly recommended.
