Prosthodontist, Dr. Lee specializes in Dental Implants and Dental Prosthetics. With years of experiences placing implants, Dr. Lee brings top dental care to the Sunnyvale area. Dr. Richard Lee is a 1996 graduate of the College of Dentistry at New York University. During his senior year at NYU, Dr. Lee was among those who were selected to take part in the intensive Fixed Prosthodontics Honor Program. After completing a one-year general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, he returned to NYU and pursued advanced training in dentistry. He received a certificate in Advanced Postgraduate Studies in Prosthodontics and Surgical Fellowship on Implant Dentistry at NYU. He also participated in various research projects and presented several clinical papers at various dental conferences. He is a recipient of the Klein Kicker Award for Outstanding Achievement, which is bestowed on those who complete specialty training in dentistry. One of Dr. Lees mentors is the world-renowned implantologist, Dr. Dennis Tarnow. Dr. Tarnow advocates the importance of dual training in Implant Dentistry because he believes that a dentist who specializes in implant restoration will also place dental implants in proper positions.
Dr. Lee, who also served as an assistant clinical professor in Dr. Tarnows Implant Department for 10 years, has been at the cutting edge of research and new developments in dentistry. He has relocated to the Bay Area after owning and operating a very successful specialty practice on Madison Avenue in New York City. When Dr. Lee is out of the office, he enjoys traveling the world with his family. Some of Dr. Lees favorite travel destinations include Amsterdam, Italy, Turkey, Dubai, Cancun, Japan, and Hong Kong. He also enjoys photography and features some of his work in our offices. Dr. Lee is multilingual and is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
Dr. Katarina Tu is a General & Cosmetic Dentist who enjoys working with patients of all ages and takes great pride in partnering with patients to help them make informed decisions about their health. Above all, she believes in providing a comfortable environment where patients feel confident that they are getting the best treatment. She enjoys working one-on-one with patients with dental anxiety and feels great satisfaction from being able to alleviate peoples fears and have patients look forward to their next visits.
Dr. Tu is a Seattle native and graduated from the University of Washington, where she earned two bachelors degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry as a Deans scholar. Being a past student of architecture, she has an artistic foundation that allows her to apply design and artistry to her dental work. She received her D.D.S. from the University of The Pacific in San Francisco. In addition, Dr. Tu completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program with the University of the Pacific to expand on her training, in all aspects of dentistry, where she earned the top honor as most outstanding resident.
She is also a dedicated volunteer, and regularly participates in local outreach events as well as dental mission trips across the world, providing emergency services, extractions, root canals, fillings, sealants for children, and dental health education for underserved communities.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tu maintains an active lifestyle and can be found at the gym or trying the latest fitness class. She also enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring the natural beauty of the Bay Area.
As a provider her focus is on preventive, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and is eager to work with patients of all ages and walks of life. She can also be found volunteering in community outreach events and is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, California Dental Association and the Santa Clara County Dental Society.
Agness dental journey started during the summer of 2002 after graduating from high school. She continued to be active in the dental community throughout her studies at San Francisco State University and Dental Hygiene at Foothill College. Agnes believes that a smile is the shortest distance between two people and focuses on creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring new destinations and trying new restaurants.
Born and raised in Paris, France, Anh-Thi is Dr Lees newest member to the team. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Foothill College. She works hard to provide a comfortable experience by performing dental cleanings and oral cancer screenings in a gentle and thorough manner. When she is not busy working, she enjoys traveling the world, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
