I was born in Peru, where I began my dental career. I further progressed my career by attending the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco, CA, where I received my dental license. Since then, I have been practicing dentistry for several years. I have been fortunate to have opened my own practice in Redwood City, CA where I am grateful to be working with great staff and colleagues. I enjoy dentistry and am dedicated to providing my patients with excellence in all aspects of preventative, clinical and cosmetic dental care: in treatments such as; implants, fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, bleaching, orthodontics and dentures. In such treatments, I have improved oral care and delivered thousands of smiles to patients. I have completed many continuing education courses that have allowed for me to learn and implement digital techniques that I can offer for patient care. I am a member with several professional dental organizations such as the CDA, ADA and SMCDS. When Im not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my kids and family, discovering new things in the bay area and relaxing at home.

This was my first visit for a cleaning and exam and it was a good experience that was efficient but not rushed. The hygienist and Dentist were both personable and knowledgeable and helped me make a plan for my dental work that works with my budget and insurance.

Very very nice people....but I will not be going back. I had a couple of crowns and some fillings done and after my procedure my tongue has been numb and my taste buds are still not fully working. During the Nova cane injection something was hit causing my tongue to still be numb 2 months later. I was told to take vitamin D? My teeth now hurt and feel worse after the procedure.

I normally do not write reviews, but had to share my strong recommendation for this office! The entire staff from the front desk, dental techs, and Dr. Meza all make it so easy and comfortable to get dental care. This was the most educational dental experience I've ever had - the tech spent way more time than he needed to on my cleaning, and then spent more time explaining the different steps of the process and xray results. I got a cleaning and exam, then returned for a filling later in the month. The filling experience was great, all things considered, and the Dr. was really communicative with me throughout so I knew what was happening and felt at ease. All around a really great experience, and I look forward to returning!

Here are a couple of critical pointers: 1. Front desk is terrible, they don't pick up the calls or give a call back then you leave a message. 2. Very very pricey, if you shop around you will find better prices. 3. HARD sell on unnecessary services, they had me winding my teeth and nobody came to check on me here and there for a while my teeth were hurting from the light and from the chemical. I had to scream for someone to come see me. 4. Not a good job I had a dental implant and they didn't even bother to match the color properly when I presented my complain about the color they said that it was my fault. 5. Scheduling service is really bad, you would walk out of there talking to front desk about your next appointment only to then find out the date would be a different one from the one agreed upon days later.

My memories about going to the dentist were never that great.... As a young child, I went to military dentist. It didn't matter how young or old you were; to those doctors the person sitting in the chair was treated like a soldier! Then, as I got much older, I used to say I'd rather give birth than go to the dentist! But, Dr. Meza and his team are wonderful. His technicians watch your body language and tell you to breath through your nose and relax. I don't carry those fearsome experiences any more. Thank you Dr. Meza and staff.

Wow, this had to have been the most thorough cleaning and consultation I have ever had. Philip did a great job and I was confident in the dental advice received from the doc. The whole office was spot-on!
