Dr. Baxter enjoys building strong relationships with his patients. He has the opportunity to not only create positive changes in his patients smiles and oral health, but also create positive changes in their attitudes and self-confidence. He inspires patients and others interested in dentistry to become a dentist or orthodontist.
Dr. Baxter was born in Little Rock and grew up in Monticello, Arkansas, where he attended high school. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1993. Next, he attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and graduated with honors in 1997. From 1997 to 2010, he was the owner of a general dentistry practice in Rogers, Arkansas.
Early in his career, Dr. Baxter began taking continuing education courses to treat less complex orthodontic cases. After developing a passion for orthodontics, he decided to pursue formal orthodontic training and limit his practice to the specialty of orthodontics. In 2010, he was accepted into the orthodontic program at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2012, he obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics and became an orthodontist.
In 2014, Dr. Baxter became a board-certified orthodontist, or Diplomate of the ABO. Board certification is voluntary in orthodontics, and a distinction shared by only 25% of orthodontists. The certification process tests orthodontic knowledge and skills through three phases of written, oral, and clinical exams administered by expert orthodontists of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification represents the highest level of commitment to orthodontics.
Dr. Baxter donates his orthodontic services to Smiles Change Lives and Donated Orthodontic Services. He sponsors Gardner Parks and Recreation teams in baseball, softball, and soccer. He also sponsors the Gardner-Edgerton High School football team.
In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Baxter enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, snow skiing, traveling, and golf. He is a passionate Arkansas Razorbacks fan and enjoys following them in football, basketball, and baseball.

Audrey has over 15 years of experience in orthodontics. She is our Office Manager, which means that she wears many hats! She enjoys the challenges of working in the orthodontic field and loves the reward of seeing the happy, beautiful, new smiles on our patients faces when their braces are finally removed. Audrey lives in Gardner with her husband, Jerod, and children, Ava and Ryder. She enjoys watching her kids play sports and going camping.
Ann has over 9 years of experience as a Financial Manager in orthodontics. As our Financial Manager, she will help you in all areas of patient financing and insurance benefit coordination. She enjoys helping patients achieve their smiles through affordable payment options and maximizing dental insurance benefits. Ann is married and has two daughters and two grandchildren.
Sheri has over 18 years of combined experience as an Orthodontic Assistant and Treatment Coordinator. Sheri will guide you through the initial exam and educate you on the doctor's recommended treatment. It's rewarding for her to see the patients gain confidence as we create beautiful smiles for them. Sheri is married and has two children of her own, two step-children, and a grandson. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake, and doing arts and crafts.
Shannon has been an Orthodontic Assistant for over 14 years. She believes that being an Orthodontic Assistant is avery rewarding job! She enjoys working with patients to help achieve that beautiful smile. Shannon lives in Gardner and enjoys spending time with her daughter Callie and her husband Chad.
Deja has been with our office for over 3 years. She received her dental assisting certificate in 2015. Deja loves to interact with the patients of all ages. She finds this job especially rewarding the day the braces come off and knowing she helped to create the perfect smile. Deja lives in Ottawa Ks, and enjoys spending time with her family.

I was very disappointed in our first interaction with this office. We were referred to them from a local dentist. They didn't address the issue that we went in for. We left feeling like it was visiting a used car lot.

Got my braces off Nov. 2nd!! Thanks to everyone at Baxter Orthodontics in Gardner, KS! Instead of the classic metal and plastic retainer, I was given something more fitting! An invisalign type retainer that you barely notice is there, plus a back up! No waiting game, as it's made right in the office! A permanent retainer for the bottom, nobody will ever notice, with everything fitting great! I am very proud of the outcome, they are a very respectful and understanding group! Easy to get along with, detailed treatment plans, clean and a comfortable family environment. I wouldn't choose another place to go, as I think their quality of care is spot on! Being able to smile with confidence feels amazing! THANK YOU!

Great orthodontic office! Staff is always friendly and considerate with my child. They always explain everything that's being done and why. Very clean office, visits are always quick and we are always seen on time. I was able to break up the cost into easily affordable monthly payments.
