Dr. Anoop Bawa is a compassionate general and cosmetic dentist with over 20 years of experience across diverse dental specialties. She enjoys developing dental products, has taught dentistry and has owned several successful private dental practices, including Bawa Dentistry in Centreville and Manassas, VA.
Geography is no challenge to Dr. Bawa, who has practiced dentistry in New Jersey, Canada, and California. She attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada and was accepted to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a merit scholarship and began her dental school journey in 1992 at the early age of 20.
Upon graduation in 1996, Dr. Bawa went on to pursue a General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, NJ (affiliated with Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education). There she focused on the surgical aspects of dentistry as well as medically compromised patients.
Dr. Anoop Bawa is one of the most humane, patient, and personable doctors I have ever encountered. This is saying A LOT for the dentistry profession, because I am not aware of ANY human excited about another person using sharp, drilling objects in one's mouth.
Her postgraduate education includes the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Invisalign, Neuromuscular Orthodontics with Jay Gerber and the Executive Management Program for Dentists at Kellogg School of Management.
Dr. Bawa has extensive experience running a dental practice that meets the needs of the community. She has successfully operated a private practice in Canada from 1999-2002, then moved to Californias Bay Area in 2002. Dr. Bawa served from 2002 until 2005 as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Management at the University of the Pacific, Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry. Then she opened a Livermore, California private practice with her husband, Bobby Bawa, DDS in 2003. In 2006, they expanded with another office serving Antioch, California. In 2009, Dr. Bawa and her husband agreed to sell these practices and move to Virginia to be closer to family.
The passion for pushing the bounds of dentistry to serve more patients led Dr. Bawa to develop dental products. Recently, she was awarded a U.S. Patent for her latest dental innovation and continues to work on other dental products that will help improve delivery of dental care and improve overall oral health. Dr. Bawa has also consistently been voted one of Americas Top Dentists by Consumers Research Council of America.
In her free time, Dr. Bawa enjoys the company of her husband, two daughters and their family and friends. In addition to this, she likes cooking, traveling and attends CrossFit classes at least three times per week.

Dr. Bawa is a great dentist, and so are the rest of the staff! I'm always taken care of in a timely, professional and competent way. Everyone has an upbeat, pleasant attitude too- which is especially nice to find at a dental office.

Dr. A Bawa continues to be my dentist after many years. I have no need to look anywhere else as the service is always outstanding and you are cared in a most kind and helpful way. She is always straight forward in her answers and always looking for what is best and more affordable for you. I have no doubt that if you make a first appointment it won't be your last but the beginning of a long pleasant experience. I love her dearly and Terri is the link that keeps everything on wheels! My strongest recommendation to both.

Amazing practice where EVERYONE was super friendly and very efficient/thorough Shout out to DJ Terri at the front desk with the great office music and taking care of my intake. Danielle the Dental Hygienist for one of the most painless cleanings I've had. I'm actually looking forward to my next dental appointment! ( who says that?!?)

Drs. Bobby and Anoop Bawa are the finest dentists we have ever experienced. The whole process from walking in to walking out is so seamless. The whole office staff is welcoming and well trained. Office area and procedure rooms are super clean. We are family of four and my kids finally don't mind going to a dentist. Drs. Anoop & Bobby and Hygienist Dieu are are great with kids/adults. I highly recommend hygienist Dieu. She is incredibly patience and knowledgable. Anyone who's looking for knowledgable and experienced dentists, simply go to Bawa Dentistry.

Arrived as guardian to a new patient and was greeted warmly and guided through the registration and patient history process. The office was well appointed and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not experience a long wait and the actual appointment and exam were done throughly and swiftly. Dr. Bawa was generous with her time in explaining the results of the exam and follow-up treatment, as well as options for specialized care. Would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist that is welcoming, professional, and reassuring!

I'm super nervous about seeing a dentist and have had a bad experience with another dentist. Dr A Bawa was able to see me, same day and she is a warm gentle human being! (She's a gem and very rare to some of the dentists I have been to) She didn't make me feel rushed, addressed all my concerns and actually gave me her number if I encountered any issues!! She's AMAZING just like her office staff! If you're looking for a dentist or practice who actually takes the time to listen to your concerns and feelings, this is the one!
