Dr. Bauer graduated from Tufts University in 1982 and from Fairleigh Dickinson Dental School in 1986, in the top 5% of his class where he received awards in Oral Diagnosis. In 1987, Dr. Bauer completed a General Practice Residency through Danbury Hospital and Yale University and continued as an attending dentist. While working as an Associate dentist in Cheshire and Danbury Hospital, Dr. Bauer opened his Woodbury office in 1988. He has been serving the Woodbury and the surrounding communities ever since.
Dr. Bauer is a supporter of many local groups such as Connecticut Choral Society, Woodbury Baseball and Softball, Woodbury Pop Warner, Nonnewaug HS Grad night, and The Hord Foundation to name a few. He is also a member of the Tufts Alumni Advancement Program. He is affiliated with the Danbury Dental Association, and a member of the Connecticut Dental Association, American Dental Association as well as the Missions of Mercy Dental service.
Dr. Bauer has a wonderful staff of knowledgeable, experienced, competent and gentle hygienists. Working closely with Dr. Bauer, the staff will assist you with the right program for your dental cleanings, preventive care, and dental care.

Dr. Bauer took out a partially impacted wisdom tooth for me, and it went flawless. He is very gentle and pays attention to detail. Highly recommend for any age!

Just last week I was treated by Dr. Bauer, and his work was terrific - thorough, comfortable, and professional, as it has been for more than twenty years with me. The entire office is friendly, helpful, and accommodating in emergencies. He takes great pride in his work, and I feel very fortunate to have him as my dentist. (And so does my mouth!)

I have been going to Dr. Bauer and his staff for more than 20 years for regular cleanings, crowns, cavities being filled, and regular check-ups. Emergency visits were very handled very quickly. The entire staff is very friendly and caring.
