Before opening my private practice on the Central Coast in 2002, I began my career in Los Angeles, as an associate dentist in a group practice with emphasis on cosmetics and full mouth rehabilitation. Early in my career I decided to practice dentistry from an integrative perspective, where a comprehensive treatment is the key factor in achieving long term results and overall health.
I love learning, and I believe that one should never stop growing, searching for answers and developing new skills. So, after graduating from USC, I continued my education through intensive training in advanced dental porcelain cosmetics, periodontal surgery and grafting, dental implants surgery and prosthetics, sleep apnea, Invisalign, Botox for dental therapeutics and TMJ. With over 800 hours of documented continuing education hours, I am committed to excellence for my patients.
Some of my surgical training has included implant surgery and prosthetics at the University Of Miami School Of Dentistry and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, the Implant Seminars Continuum in San Francisco, and training from Dr. Pat Allen for periodontal plastic surgery. I also participated in teaching and organizing the Implant Seminars Continuum in Los Angeles, focusing on bone grafting and dental implants surgical techniques.
Throughout my career, I made it my mission to bring all aspects of dentistry together in order to best design comprehensive treatment plans for my patients to achieve full mouth rehabilitation and overall health and customized smile designs.
Marie is a native of the central coast and has been in practice for over 20 years. She graduated top of her class from FresnoCity College in 1999. She is laser certified and a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association and American Society of Forensic Odontology. Marie takes many continuing education classes, workshops and seminars, in order to stay at the forefront of dentistry and provide her patients the most current treatment options.
Marie loves getting to know her patients and providing them with the highest level of individualized dental care. She has a deep respect for each patients unique needs and makes a point of putting the patient at ease and creating a comfortable environment where they can relax and know they will be cared for.

Hi there! Im Jude, I was born and raised on the Central Coast of California. I have been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2014, graduating with honers from San Joaquin Valley College. I also have my degree in pre-nursing from Cuesta College. Working with Dr. Bauer has fueled my passion for growing my dental career which is why I went on to further my skills and education by obtaining my license in Expanded Functions from the Dental Career Institute in 2020. Hello, my name is Stephanie. Welcome to Bauer Dental Center! I began working in the dental field at 18 years old. I was a Dental Assistant and also worked as a Receptionist in the front office. It was there I found my love for helping patients maximize their benefits and coordinate their treatment. I took some time off in the dental field to raise my children and as rewarding as that has been and is, I am happy to be able to work again at helping patients achieve the smile they have always wanted.
When I am not at work, I am spending time with my three boys ages 15, 13 and 11 years old. We enjoy camping, going to the lake, hiking, swimming and anything that allows us to enjoy the beauty of living on the Central Coast. Most of all spending time hanging out with our friends and family barbecuing, playing games and making memories. I called and told them I had an emergency. The receptionist said they would be able to help. Mind you that the pain was a 10/10 I spent a good 30 minutes coming in filling out papers to find I wasn't approved, they wouldn't help me and gave me the oh well look. My waste of time was not appreciated and still in pain. Thanks for nothing

I can't say enough positive things about this office and the people there. Everyone is kind and professional - they go out of their way to make sure patients are comfortable. The office is absolutely beautiful, very modern. I left very happy and satisfied with my treatment.

I am overwhelmed by the care and expertise from Bauer Dental. I have never had a dentist care so much about my comfort and making sure all my fears were at ease. Many doctors, optometrists and dentist never really listen to me and how I felt about what was going on. However at Bauer dental they took the time to explain in detail how the process would go and talked to me and cared about the issues I was having. I have jaw problems and I have ran multiple times because I am afraid of my wisdom teeth being pulled. From my initial visit, yes I took a lot of X-rays and photos but that made me feel they wanted to see exactly what they were dealing with. I can say In full confidence that I trust this team and Dr. Bauer is kind and knowledgeable and made sure I wouldn't feel any anxiety and pain after or before any procedure. The girls at the desk really help to work around my schedule as I do have have two small children in school and allowed my other one to come with me if I couldn't find a sitter. Thank you and I will continue to use Bauer dental for years to come.

Most relaxing hygiene visit I've ever had. The hygienist thorough explained the procedure and recommended a better floss for my teeth which I have since purchased and it does work so much better. I highly recommend Bauer Dental Center

Absolutely wonderful experience. I had an emergent case and was in a lot of pain (and I was a new patient) and they took great care of me and got me in, fixed, and out in the same day. Really lovely staff and it feels so comfortable and they try hard to make you feel safe and relaxed. I do not like going to any dental office but this was absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had. Thank you all!

They made me feel just horrible!!! Used up all my insurance with no plan to fix my teeth!! The dentist was not very nice and caused me pain on purpose by measuring my teeth!! All they want is money!!

This is next level dentistry. Beautiful modern office with all the newest technology. Staff is very accommodating and Dr. Bauer is extremely knowledgeable and highly qualified to do just about everything. You not only improve your smile here but they care about your overall health. I have straight, white, healthy teeth under Dr. Bauer's care.

These people used up all my insurance on X-rays with no estimate or plan to fix my teeth!! They also made me feel just horrible and the dentist was extra rough with my teeth poking my gums!! Judgement all over the place! Unless your rich don't go here!!!

Dr Bauer was very thorough in preparing for the 2 crowns and bridge. I like the latest tools she has to work with. I have confidence when she uses the microscope to see up close. I can't remember the aid's name, but he was attentive to my comfort. Jude did a great job in putting the crowns and bridge in and getting them to fit properly. It was a good experience today.

I cannot say enough positive things about this practice. Everyone is kind, friendly, professional. The new office is modern and has all new state of the art equipment. I think they do a really good job and are very thorough with cleanings etc. I've just done a year of Invisalign with them and now getting a few veneers. I couldn't be happier with my teeth.

Dr. Bauer was mean and abrasive, very not understanding of the pain I was in and anxiety I was having. She told me it was my fault I was in so much pain because I waited too long. She did not seem to comprehend people come from different backgrounds and dental work is expensive and not everyone can afford it. Not the place to go if you have dental anxiety.

Extremely deceptive!! They quoted me a significantly less amount for out of pocket than what the insurance was actually covering. They will not check with your insurance and they will give you a random number to swindle you in doing work with them. Over a thousand dollars extra from what they quoted me!!!! Unbelievable how is this even legal!

They are misleading and deceptive! So disappointed!!! They swindle patients into doing treatments with inaccurate out of pocket charges. I had an estimate of $300 out of pocket after my insurance covered the main portion and it turns out that they never reached out to my insurance for accurate numbers in coverage and they are now charging me with $1200 extra after they submitted the claim to the insurance and realized the insurance is not covering the main portion.

The wonderful people at Bauer Dental Center are the ultimate pros when it comes to state-of-the-art dental care. I love the fact that both Dr. Bauer and the staff take extra care to explain all procedures, after-care and future care instructions and are just super-communicative when it come to the health and support of my dental needs. I'm SO happy that I discovered Bauer Dental Center and I'm actually excited and looking forward to my next visit!

Never been told by any dentist office that they can not disclose their costs or even price range of a cleaning for a cash paying patient..... New to the area and looking for a new dentist, I saw the good reviews so I called, they could not give me prices as a cash paying patient for anything until I paid the $300 for an exam, she claims they do not give out that info as it varies--that is understandable, but when I asked how much a cleaning could cost she started to look for the price, put me on hold, came back and told me she could not give me that info (not even any kind of price range or at least the most a cleaning COULD cost) but rather told me I could apply for CareCredit and something else to make payments if needed. Really weird and unfortunate.
