Dr Bonnet is a native Texan, who attended the University of Texas In Austin for his undergraduate education. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History and was president of his fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi. He was also a member of the prestigious service organization, the Silver Spurs, who take care of and transport the school mascot, Bevo. After graduation, Dr Bonnet spent two years working as an emergency medical technician where he developed a passion for trauma and critical care.
Next, Dr Bonnet attended the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas Texas. After his first year, Dr Bonnet studied Spanish and Dentistry In Panama in order to increase his ability to serve others. He also demonstrated his capacity for leadership as he was president of his dental school fraternity, Xi Psi Phi for two years, and won the honorable mention for Best Chapter President in the nation. He receivedhis Doctorate in Dental Surgery and during this time discovered his love for oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr Bonnet attended Wayne State School of Medicine and received his medical doctorate. Next, he completed a one year residency in general surgery. Finally, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center. In addition to covering the three major trauma hospitals in Detroit, the program also partners with the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. He received excellent training in the fields of trauma and facial reconstruction, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, bone graftingand dental implants.
Today, Dr Bonnet pursues his passion for bone grafting, dental implants, dentoalveolar surgery, trauma and orthognathic surgery. He is a licensed physician and dentistin the state of Michigan. His wife, Amanda, and he have two lovely children. He enjoys spendingtime with them especially in the outdoors. He also enjoys hunting, fishing and playing golf.
