I was very impressed with Dr. Markle, Michelle, Lynette and the rest of the staff. They were very attentive to what I needed. Michelle assist me with every question or concern before my procedure. Dr. Markle was very detailed and informative in explaining everything he was doing. Dr. Markle has impeccable bedside manners. He was very detailed in what would take place during my procedure. Dr. Kenneth F. Markle was born in Eaton Rapids, Mi. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he received two separate bachelors degrees, one in Interpersonal Communications and the other in Nursing. After venturing out into the business world and later the medical profession, he returned to school attending the University of Louisiana School of Dentistry.
Upon completion of his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, he enrolled in a Periodontal residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. In 1995, with his Periodontal education complete, he returned to Baton Rouge to open a specialty practice in the field of Periodontics and Implantology.
As a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather of four, Dr. Markle finds time to enjoy many hobbies and interests outside of the field of dentistry. Among his favorite after-hours activities are Jogging, Photography, Computer Science, Ham Radio, and Tiger Football. He is an avid scuba diver and NAUI instructor.
Dr. Markle has won multiple awards for academic and clinical excellence including Phi Kappa Phi Honors, C. Edmund Kells Honor Member, Pierre Fauchard Award of Merit, American Equilibration Society Award, Certificate of Merit in Oral Diagnosis, and Outstanding Nurse Communicator. He has been an active member of the local dental society for 20 years and served in leadership roles as President, Membership Chairman, and Board Member. Dr. Markle shared his skills and talents by teaching in the graduate department of Periodontics at LSUs School of Dentistry for more than a decade. He has hosted and taught in numerous continuing education seminars and study clubs both in Baton Rouge and other communities.

Dr. Jenny Herman grew up in West Monroe, Louisiana. She attended West Monroe High School, then earned a Bachelors in Biochemistry with a Minor in Chemistry from Louisiana State University. While studying there, she received the Chancellors Future Leaders in Research Scholarship, Centennial Scholarship, and was named L.S.U. Alumni Association Top 100 Scholars. Dr. Herman received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from L.S.U. School of Dentistry in 2016. She went on to complete her residency in Periodontics there in 2019, where she served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Herman enjoys cooking and fishing is a life-long Saints fan and loves all things L.S.U.
Dr. Herman has extensive leadership and volunteer experience. As Community Service Chair for LSUHSC dental class of 2016, she organized community service opportunities for members of her class including fundraisers, food drives, and Habitat for Humanity service. Dr. Herman has volunteered for both the New Orleans and the Louisiana Missions of Mercy and provided dental services and supplies to adults and children in the mountain communities of Guatemala through the L.S.U. Global Healing. She served as Clinic Co-Coordinator at the Ozanam Inn in New Orleans, working with medical students to provide free health and dental care for the homeless.

Dr. Herman and her staff are professional, friendly, and meticulous. Her assistant, whose name I cannot recall, went over and above to make sure I was comfortable during the myriad of x-rays that were taken. When I first called to set up an appointment, they couldn't fit me in until December 2022. I didn't know periodontists were so busy!! However, they helpfully put me on their wait list for cancellations and were able to fit me in last week. Highly recommended!!

The recommended surgical procedure was explained very well with Xrays and graphs to support the need for the procedure. My questions were well received and clearly answered.

Dr. Herman was great. I went there dreading my visit and came out with a wonderful feeling. She was took her time and never hurt me. The experience was better then I could have hoped for.

Dr. Markle and his staff are extremely professional. They made me feel very comfortable pre and post surgery. He did everything that he said he was going to do including personally contacting me the same day after my procedure to make sure that I was doing well and to see if there were any concerns that I had. I would highly recommend him for any periodontics issues that you may have.

I will absolutely reccomend Dr Markle and his amazing staff. They were super sweet , very thorough in explaining everything , made me very comfortable during my hour long procedure. Dr Markle called me after I got home to check on me . They make you feel like family. He and his staff are all very kind , caring and compassionate . I highly recommend this group of people

This is the place you need to know about in your twenties. I wish that I had known all those years ago. Dr. Markle is a jewel and Megan has stole my heart. It's a joy to go and interact with very professional people. They really know their trade and they are highly recommended.

My dental experience with Baton Rouge Perio, specifically Dr Jenny Harmon and staff, has from the start been a very personable, professional and pleasant relationships. I was initially referred to BR Perio by my dentist, Dr Courtney Jones of Jones Creek Dentistry for implants. From the first visit I felt at home, you are always greeted by name when you check in, the financial manager was my former neighbor and we had a walk down memory lane. I then made my decision to work with BR Perio. After my procedure, Dr Harmon followed up with me by text and cell about my recovery, on the weekend. "That was very special to me"! The appointment are very prompt and timely and again, choosing BR Perio has been the best choice I could have made. "Team BR Perio, you rock"!
