Dr. Mark W. Garon is a unique kind of dentist. He takes a gentle approach, easing any concerns you might have by providing valuable patient education. He listens so he can best understand your particular needs. Then he strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using his skilled training in the latest advances in dental technology.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Garon enjoys spending time with his wife Donna Hopkins Garon and their three sons Ty, Beau and Christian and daughter-in-law Michelle Martin Garon. He and his wife have two grandsons Knox and George Patrick. The family is involved in ALL water sports, including wake boarding, waterskiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing.
Dr. Garon is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he received a Bachelors degree in Zoology. Upon graduation he decided to pursue a career in dentistry and received a DDS from Louisiana State University Dental School in New Orleans. While in his final year at dental school at LSU he worked almost exclusively with children. It was during this time that Dr. Garon decided to follow his interests and further his career by completing a specialty certification in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Alabama At Birmingham. One of the years included a Cerebral Palsy fellowship where he worked at the Sparks Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders.

Dr. Garon is a wonderful dentist. My siblings and I saw him as children when he was still doing orthodontics too. He did a great job on the 4 of us. He's always very patient and kind. He sees my 3 children now, ages 19, 17, and 7, the youngest of which used to have high anxiety with EVERYTHING. His office staff have always been very considerate and helpful. Also, we have always loved the atmosphere at both his current office and his previous satellite office in Baton Rouge. Dreading the day he retires!

If I could give him no stars I would. His bedside manner is absolutely horrible and he has no patience. My son has major anxiety when it comes to the dentist to start with, which he was aware of, and tried to rush my child and hurry the procedure along despite seeing my son was in distress and having a full on panic attack. Needless to say we left and will not be returning!

Dr. Garon has treated my girls for 17 years and I couldn't ask for anyone more kind and caring than Dr. Garon. I can not recommend him and his staff enough!!!

Awesome personality & does great work. Dr. Garon is a cool dude that came in on his day off and opened up on Good Friday after an accident broke my son's front tooth. Quickly fixed him up good as new to enjoy his Easter weekend. As a parent I appreciate a sense of urgency like that. Highly recommend!
