Dr. O'Brien was reared in Sioux Falls, S.D. before migrating to outer Boston and graduating from The College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She later graduated from Creighton School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE., in 1999 and subsequently served three years in the Air Force, which included an intensive year long residency in General Dentistry in Northern California. Dr. O'Brien is serious about inspiring people to change their opinion about dentistry by viewing it as more of an art-form. The field of dentistry is a common theme in her family as her paternal grandfather was also a dentist.

Dr. Batjer was born and raised in Bellevue, WA and graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla before moving to Omaha for Dental School. He worked for a few years in Post Falls, Idaho, before finally relocating back to the Puget Sound area in 2003 where they bought this practice.

Katrina has been with the practice since well before Drs. OBrien and Batjer took over in 2003. She has extensive knowledge of the complications of insurance coverage and can answer almost any question a patient (or one of the dentists) can throw at her. Her experience and knowledge was indispensable to the transitioning dentists in 2003 and continues to grow as the insurance companies keep changing the rules. Despite appearing to devote all her time to the minutiae of insurance policies and helping to run the practice, she also is a devoted wife and mother to three.

Colleen has been with the practice full time since 2007 after filling in when needed for years prior. A long suffering Mariners fan and mother of one son she, too, is a favorite among patients. Thorough, yet gentle, we have been told many times by patients that it was the best cleaning theyve ever experienced.

Dental Assistants are critical to any procedure. They are there to help the dentist, assuage any concerns of the patient, and to answer any questions that may arise. We strongly feel we have two of the best in the business
