Dr. Ryan L. Batesgraduated from Freeman High School, Brigham Young University, and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his dental degree, he entered active duty with the US Army. During this time, he received further training by completing a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA. Following his training, he served as a Brigade Dental Surgeon and Staff Dental Officer at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, AK, which included a 10 month deployment to Southeastern Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
During his five years in the military, Dr. Bates completed hundreds of hours in post-graduate training and thousands of hours in patient care. His experience encompasses all aspects of dentistry, to include diagnostics, oral surgery, periodontal surgery, endodontics, prosthetics, and sedation.
Ryan and his wife, Afton, have six children. They have made their home in Deer Park and look forward to many years in that area. They enjoy recreating together and serving in their church and community.
