Dr. Bates graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in Biology from Wofford College and later attended the Medical University of South Carolina where he earned his DMD degree with high honors.

I am currently going through Invisalign & they are making the process so pleasant & easy! The staff are all so kind & knowledgeable! Highly recommend them for ortho treatment!

I cannot recommend Bates Orthodontics enough! Dr. Bates is truly one of a kind. He's knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. I fully trust his expertise. From the beautiful building to the caring staff, they truly make you feel comfortable and well cared for.

Everyone is very nice and efficient. The whole staff goes above and beyond to my kids feel comfortable and know what is going on with their treatment. Always friendly and willing to help. Im glad we were referred here and couldn't ask for a better team.

Couldn't be happier with my experience at Bates Orthodontics so far! The staff and Dr. Bates are friendly, knowledgable and approachable. Taniqua is an absolute gem! Excited to see my teeth after treatment.

I would be careful when using this company. They check my coverage of $1,500 and used 1,800 . Mind you I was taking two kids in . The other child information was the correct that ...amount . We Paid with no issue , thinking we were finished. Pause the doctor stated he was going to give him something at the end . Now I see an overcharge of $350. 00. I feel this was a bait and switch and a error on their part . I think they saw two potential clients and doctored the bill. The marketing person called me back ., not the billing person. After speaking with them they stated it was on the patient . I sorry I can not do your job for you. Beware

We have been going to Dr. Bates since he first started his practice when my son was 8 years old. He and his staff are wonderful. They've always gone above and beyond to make sure my kids have the best treatment, are comfortable, and their teeth look amazing. Neither of my children have had to keep their braces for longer than he estimated. Dr. Bates uses state-of-the-art and the most up-to-date equipment and procedures. We have referred many friends and family to his practice and all have been completely satisfied. Bonus is we feel like family there!

This is by far the best orthodontist and the staff is awesome!! My daughter was a patient and now I am and I can't say anything negative about them. The offices are always clean and neat and the staff always has a smile on their face and sweetness in their voices. Go Bates orthodontist!!!

Bates is the best. The entire staff is so sweet and helpful, and I couldn't believe how fast I started seeing progress with my teeth. If I had to do it over, I'd choose Bates again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend!
