I came here over 30 years ago to have composite bonding on one of my front teeth which I'd broken broken 1/3 off in an accident. I came back because they did such good work the last time that this particular bonding has lasted me for 20 years! My understanding is that bonding typically last 5 to 10 years with good care, and though I've done my best to care for it, I know without the exceptional care and craftsmanship that was performed here it wouldn't have lasted so long. I was at work and I walked into a low hanging tree branch which hit my face in such a way as to break half the bonded material off. I was actually close to the clinic and decided to stop in to ask if they had an opening. Not only was I able to get in today because some one had canceled due to covid, I was able to sign up for a plan that gives me a 20% discount on the current repair, as well as provide 2 cleanings, 2 exams, x-rays, and 1 emergency exam, all at just over $300 a year. So I am in the chair and have had all the x-rays and we have a plan. The short of it is that they are totally going to be able to fix my tooth today, and the cost is hundreds of dollars cheaper than I thought it was going to be! God is great, and these guys are going God's work! Thank you Bass Lake Dental!

Dr. Ophaug is without a doubt the best dentist I have worked with. Himself and his entire team go above and beyond every visit to make sure you're comfortable, informed, and treated/cared for to the highest degree. SO nice to not have to dread the dentist anymore!

Dr Ophaug is the best! I was in severe mouth pain! He called me back on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON. I had never been there before He saw me first thing the following day. He actually diagnosed an underlying condition. That I'm now getting treated for. I can't recommend him enough! He's kind, thorough, and affordable. He receptionist Jeff is a sweet heart. This is the first review I've ever written in my life. I thought others should know what an exceptional dental office, Bass Lake Dental is.

Dr. Ophaug and his Bass Lake Dental staff are awesome. Not only are they very friendly, Bass Lake Dental is a very safe dental office. Dr. Ophaug has gone above and beyond to ensure his patient's and staff are being safe from this virus. He has purchased respirators that are called PAPR's (Powered Air Purifying Respirators). And all of their clinical staff wear them. (Doctor, hygienist & assistant). There is no higher level of respiratory protection. They are rated for a biohazard facility level of safety. Rest assured that he is taking no chances! Myself needing to be extra safe, feel very safe here and have been here a couple of times this past month along. You won't find a safer dental office around!

I've been a long-time patient at Bass Lake Dental since I was a kid, and I've always been treated so well here. Dr. Ophaug is kind, thorough, and treats me like a friend he's reconnecting with every time I go in for my routine cleanings/exams. He's honest about treatment options, gives good recommendations without being pressuring, and just an all-around nice guy who's been my dentist for years now. My experience with the hygienists has also been pretty good over the years. I especially want to make a shout out to my current hygienist, Cara, who has been seeing me for the past few years. Like Dr. Ophaug, she is thorough but gentle during cleanings, which I appreciate. We always have good conversations and catch-ups too, so I also really appreciate her friendly and casual personality. All in all, a solid experience at Bass Lake Dental, and I would highly recommend them!

Everyone at Bass lake dental are awesome. They are friendly willing to help you out. I have been going there for years I will not go to anyone else. If you need any dental care give them a call.

Dr. Ophaug and his staff are all wonderful. We started going here after not seeing dentists for years. Dr. Ophaug definitely has a passion for what he does and is very thorough. He offers the best solution and is very straightforward with what you need without being pushy. Best dentist my family has been to.

After a few years of traveling out to Blaine for my checkups and cleanings I decided to look for a dentist office more local. I'm really happy I found Dr. Ophaug and the team at Bass Lake Dental. Though I've only had a couple appointments for a cleaning and filling, both have gone extremely well with everyone being super friendly, helpful and informative. I'm definitely recommending them to my friends and family here in the Twin Cities :)

I definitely recommend Bass Lake Dental. I've been going there for years, and it feels like visiting an old friend every time. The staff is so friendly, and fun. It's very clean and is a comfortable environment. Dr. Ophaug is a wealth of information if you ever have any questions. He's professional and friendly and takes those extra steps in care to make sure you're comfortable and have peace of mind. Lastly I love that they have longer hours on Monday and Tuesday so that I don't have to miss work. All around a great experience and I do recommend!

I have been going to Bass Lake Dental for over 10 years, and I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ophaug and his staff. Always very friendly and professional. Dr. Ophaug has assisted my family and I through invisalign, wisdom teeth, and oral surgery on top of general check ups. I would not go anywhere else!

I have been a patient at Bass Lake Dental for many years. Dr. Ophaug is a kind, caring, professional dentist who seeks perfection in all his work. Yesterday, I was at the clinic for final replacement of two crowns. (Looking and feeling pretty good I might say) Prior to that visit, I was at the office for my teeth cleaning, exam, x-rays and preparation for my two crowns. As you may know, that is quite a hefty bill. The friendly office staff was very helpful in setting me up with a dental insurance plan that is very affordable and saved me hundreds of dollars. Thank you. The clinic adheres to strict COVID guidelines and the Dr. and staff wear hepa filter head gear that keeps them safe and the patient too. No need to worry about getting back to see the dentist. So, if you are needing a dentist in the heart of Crystal, New Hope area and like a friendly more personal environment, than a big dental clinic, this is the place for you. Dr. Ophaug and his staff come highly recommended by me.

I always have a great experience when I go to Bass lake Dental but during the COVID pandemic I've felt extremely safe in their hands. They have made extra precautions during these times. Dr Ophaug and his staff do great work and will continue going there in the future.

If you are looking for a dentist Dr. Ophaug with Bass Lake Dental is the one you want! I would even recommend those who already have a dentist to try him out and with 80% certainty think you would switch to him. Very professional, informative and knows what he is doing. I went in for a dental implant procedure which requires drilling through the gums and into the bone and believe it or not it was painless! I was absolutely amazed. The only thing I felt was the needle delivering the Novocain. A friend of mine recently had the same procedure done at a different location and she was miserable. Her gums and face swelled up and the insert they put in eventually fell out before it was healed enough to place the implant. Try Dr. Ophaug from Bass Lake dental, you'll be glad you did!

Dr. Ophaug and his staff go above and beyond to give each patient the best experience possible. Visiting the dentist for the first time in a while was daunting for me, but everyone at Bass Lake made it much easier. I never felt nervous or like I was getting a lecture, just like they all truly cared to help my teeth look and feel their best. Their office is extremely Covid responsible and clean. Can't recommend enough!
