He is a member of theAmerican Dental Association,Louisiana Dental Association, a fellow in both the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists, a graduate of the Schuster Center for Professional Development and a past president of the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association. In 2020, Dr. Basinger became the editor of The Journal of the Louisiana Dental Association. He has also served as a delegate or alternate delegate from Louisiana to the American Dental Association Annual Meeting since 2016.
In addition, he strives to raise community awareness and improve dental education, especially for children, through volunteer work. He served as the NWLDA chairman for Give Kids a Smile Day from 2004-19, where he organized members of the local dental community to provide free services for children in need.
Dr. Basinger was honored to receive the 2019 Integrity Award from the Shreveport/Bossier Better Business Bureau. Since 2005, he has been selected annually by his peers for SB Magazines Shreveport/Bossier Citys Top Doctors/Dentists issue. Additionally, he was honored by the Louisiana Dental Association with the 2006 New Dentist Award.
He loves attending college and professional sporting events with his family, coaching his sons sports teams when they were younger and just playing catch or chipping a golf ball in the yard with his boys.
As a family, the Basingers are actively involved in their church, love to travel and experience new places and enjoy spending time together: exploring the outdoors, playing board games or watching movies. Its a full and fun life!
Marshia joined our team in 2021 and has been an expanded duty dental assistant since 2006. She lives in Bossier City with her husband Jesse and their two sons Mason and Jaxson as well as their English Bulldogs, Praline and Sundae.
Marshia loves traveling every chance she gets, especially on cruise ships and also playing canasta with friends. And if youve got a little time to discuss boy bands, were sure shell try to convince you that New Kids on the Block is the best!
Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey Club Dr. Basinger is the official team dentist for the Shreveport Mudbugs hockey club, an affiliate in the NAHL. You never know when a flying puck, or fist, will cause the need for an emergency dental visit!
Give Kids A Smile Day Give Kids A Smile is the ADA Foundations signature access to care program, with events taking place throughout the year. These events kick off annually on the first Friday in February, which is celebrated as Give Kids A Smile Day. Each year, thousands of dentists and volunteers give their time to provide free oral health education, screenings, and treatment to underserved children. More than 5.5 million children have been cared for by more than half a million volunteers since 2003. Dr. Basinger has been the coordinator for the Northwest Louisiana Dental Associations events since 2004.
The Hub urban ministry/Purchased: Not for Sale The Hub: urban ministries exists to walk those in poverty through a process that gives them hope, friendship, community, a place they belong and the skills needed to become self-sufficient by giving them access to rescue, relationships, resources and recovery. The Hub does this through two primary ministries: The Lovewell Center and Purchased: Not for Sale. Through these ministries, we serve those in poverty and homelessness,women and children trapped in the sex industry and victims of human trafficking.
Front 9 Tour The Front 9 Tour is founded on Christian principles with a mission to further Gods kingdom through the game of golf. The students play competitively at their local area golf course for ultimate practice and receive top-quality golf instruction.Dr. Basinger is a supporter and sponsor of the tour and all three of his boys have played or are still playing on the tour.
Caddo Magnet High School Alumni Association Dr. Basinger graduated from Magnet High School in 1988 and was part of the effort to start an alumni association in 2015. He continues to serve on the board of directors.

Awesome Dentist office. My Dentist moved out of the area. Tried a couple of Dentist that just weren't all that great until today. Dr. Basinger and his staff were SO WONDERFUL! Super nice and friendly. Office is clean, they use touch barriers on the lights which I always appreciate. His assistant was super friendly and nice. Dr. Basinger is very nice and gentle. Explained everything as he was about to do it. Checked with me the entire time. While I'm sad my dentist left town I'm pretty sure I finally found a replacement. If you are tired of those super market dentist and oatmeal decorated bland offices check Dr. Basinger out.

Today I said to my dentist Dr. Basinger and his kind assistant. I love coming here. You are all kind and friendly. If you say we'll have you in and finished in 30 minutes you mean it. My wait time has never gone over 5-10 minutes. Your work is the best and I trust your experience and knowledge. I believe in giving flowers when they're due. I can truly say this office is the best. Our whole family started seeing Dr. Basinger after our old dentist retired. We all already love him and his staff! Everyone in the office is so friendly and professional. We wondered how it would be going to the dentist during COVID, but Dr. Basinger and his staff were cautious and used the proper PPE. We all felt very comfortable and were glad we could have our 6 month cleanings at the time they were due. We all highly recommend Dr. Basinger to anyone looking for a great dentist!

My son's front tooth got chipped, he took care of it so well. In fact he takes care of our entire family's dental needs. They genuinely have the patient's best interest!

Standout local practice. Outstanding service, start to finish. The cleanings and other work I've had done here are top notch - great technology and equipment, very skilled hygienists, and Dr. Basinger takes your oral health very seriously. The office is immaculate and inviting. All kinds of perks here - you can watch movies with headphones during longer procedures (!!), bottled water and coffee in waiting area, cavity-free club with small prize drawings, even complimentary lip balm and of course toothbrush/travel size toothpaste. Wonderful practice, its staff will make you feel at home. They are strong believers in the community and family, too.

When it was time for my appointment, I was in the chair within 3 minutes getting serviced. They continue to wow me each time. Frankly, I don't know of anything they could do better. Worth the drive if you are out of town or state. A++++. And yes, this is a real review and I don't work there.
