Dentistry broadens my knowledge of both science and humanity. I truly enjoy the people in our community who I have gotten to know through my profession. I am able to learn new things every day simply by examining and talking to people!
To become a dentist, I attained my Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from Bee County Junior College in Dental Hygiene in 1978. Afterward, I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with my Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1985.
I constantly participate in Continuing Education courses because they keep me up to date with the latest technologies and techniques in dentistry. This helps me offer the best treatment to my patients, which is my ultimate goal! Each new dental method means a safer, more efficient and more comfortable experience for my patient, and I am always looking to make my patients happier and healthier people.
I enjoy helping people with their dental needs andgetting to know them and their families. I like to educate my patients and offer different types of alternatives to meet their dental needs. I love to do general practice because I get to see all family members, and I am able to see patients since early years up to adulthood.
What I like most about my practice is that I get to meet different people from different backgrounds and learn from them on a daily basis. After 25 years in practice, many patients have become like part of my family, and that has made my job truly rewarding.
My team is very friendly and always maintains a light and upbeat tone in our office. They all know their jobs and do them well. They all know that the patients are the reason we are here. They are friendly and courteous, and all get along well.
I grew up in San Antonio, and have lived in Boerne since 1968. I have a lovely wife and three children to keep me busy! We also have two dogs, three cats and thirteen chickens at home. In my spare time, I love to go fishing and golfing. Most of all, though, I love going on vacations with my family!
Its important to me to help those in need. For that reason, I provide support for community projects like the shelter for battered women, Hill Country Mission for Health, the Shriners, the Boerne Optimist club, and local schools.
As a registered dental hygienist, I greatly enjoy conversing with patients and being attentive to their individual needs. I know you will enjoy coming here! Dr. Gooden is an extremely easy-going person. We care about the health of the patientsin our care. Our whole team gets along well, and we all share a desire to treat patients with respect in a timely manner. When Im not at work, I love to travel with my family and help the needy. I am currently a volunteer for Hill Country Mission for Health, Christian Medical & Dental Clinics, and Haven for Hope Refuge Clinic.
Welcome! I am a dental assistant here, and I am in charge of assisting the doctor with patients as well as ordering supplies and lab work. In our practice, we are very laid-back and like to have fun at work, but are always professional about what we do. I always treat people like I want to be treated, and I think our patients appreciate that. At home, I very much enjoy gardening, riding my horses, taking care of my three dogs, my rabbit and parakeet. I also love spending quality time with my husband, John!
Hello, Im glad to meet you! I am the office manager, and I make sure our practice runs smoothly. Our office is different than other dental offices because we have fun with what we do! You will hear people laughing and joking every day. Sometimes people in the waiting room tell me, 'They are not supposed to have this much fun at the dental office!' Thats because they can hear the other patients and staff laughing all day long. I believe this makes people feel very comfortable at our office, and I am proud to work here! At home, I spend time with my husband, daughter, and two step-children.
