Dr. Barrett graduated from UNC Dental School in 1999 with honors. He completed a General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He earned a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2008. He and his wife moved to Reidsville in 2000. They have two children that keep them busy. He has traveled to Peru, Moldova, Guatemala, and Mexico on dental mission trips. He has served on the board of directors for the Rockingham County Free Clinic and on various committees at Woodmont United Methodist Church. He actively pursues continuing education to further his knowledge of dentistry.

As the previous reviews mention, this was also my first time visiting the office and I had an amazing experience. I was greeted by the receptionist and given the paperwork immediately to fill out, asked and answered any questions I had. Did not wait long and was taken back with more greetings and smiles (even through the mask) lol. Again as was previously mention, Dr Barrett seemed rushed but I can imagine if you have a lot of patients that you don't have time to talk, but again, he was very helpful, open, honest and answered all my questions. When I was taken back to the front because I also had a cleaning scheduled, I spoke with the financial manager and she was also very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. All the way up to the cleaning, which was also wonderful, till I walked out the door I had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this office for your dentistry needs. Thank you Dr. Barrett and your wonderful staff for an awesome time at the dentist. I'm sure you don't hear that often. Lol

Very friendly, helpful and professional. I moved to the Reidsville area from PA and googled several different Dentists that work with my insurance company and Dr Barrett was the top rated Dentist and I can understand why. Right from the receptionist to the hygenist and then the doctor himself.....everyone was awesome !!!! I appreciate the reviews as this certainly guided me to the right Dentist and awesome staff !!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Barrett's for over 2 years now. I absolutely love all of his office staff. 2 years ago I was extremely embarrassed of my smile. Dr. Barrett changed that. His office staff made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed at all. His dental staff take the time to show me how to properly care for my teeth and prevent any other issues. I now have a smile that I am proud of and continue to visit Dr. Barrett for unexpected problems and cleanings. I recommend him to all of my friends and family.

I had an excellent experience on my first dental visit in many years. All the employees, from front desk to nurse to dentist, were extremely professional and answered every question I had thoroughly. They actually explained the procedures and were thorough. Based upon this experience, I would highly recommend this office. My only "complaint" is that the dentist himself did seem as if he was in a hurry, but considering he did take the time to answer all my questions, I can't fault him for that. Ultimately, this was a great visit from start to finish and I look forward to returning.

TERRIBLE! My father trusted this dentist and paid him over $600 UPFRONT (before the teeth were made) to make him a upper partial. After having the partial only a week, my dad was hurting on one side and having to use glue four times a day. The first time he went back to Dr. Barrett he gave him some "you got to get use to it story." My dad has to use glue 4 times a day before he can eat AND the teeth are not even lined up correctly in the front. His front two teeth are not centered. My dad started hurting so bad when chewing he made a second appointment and has gone back again. THIS time Dr. Barrett said.. "You signed off that they were Ok" He did grind the one side down (which shows they were not right to start with) and would not agree to have them redone. Wanda at the front told me when I called to ask about the warranty that they have an "I'll work with you" warranty".... For $600 he should make it right, do another impression and make the long-time customer happy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST! I will never go back here again!
