For almost 3 decades, Dr. Barrett Davis, Jr. has worked to create a world-class, high-tech dental office, designed to meet all of the dental needs of his busy Morehead City patients. The result is a dental office that stands above the rest. Dr. Davis has set up his practice so that families can comfortably receive dental care that they need from experienced, compassionate dental professionals.
Dr. Barrett Davis grew up enjoying the waters of the Morehead City area and knew that he wanted to make his living here as an adult. After four years of undergrad and four years of dental school, both at UNC-Chapel Hill, he returned to Morehead in 1994 to open his dental practice. His parents pitched in to help paint and get the office set up. His wife, Beth, was his office help, and together they began building the practice.
After 26 years, three children, and a new building, the atmosphere in Dr. Davis office is still personal and friendly. His interest in new technology keeps the office equipment state-of-the-art. Digital x-rays and computer assisted CEREC crowns allow for thorough diagnoses and completion of many restorations in a single visit. Dr. Davis performs a full range of procedures from cosmetic veneers, crowns, fillings and root canals to removable appliances such as partials and dentures.
Kathy has been alongside Dr. Davis for over 25 years. Her contagious smile makes our patients feel right at home. As loyal as she is to our practice, she's just as devoted to her family. If you don't see Kathy in Dr. Davis' shadows, she's loving on her grand baby Blakelynn, or keeping up with the family's busy schedule.
In the summer months, Kathy enjoys boating to Shackelford Banks, and relishing in the cuisine that her husband, Alex, prepares at home. She and Alex live a healthy lifestyle, and can be spotted frequently at the Sports Center. The pair are quite the social butterflies, if you notice them around town be sure to say Hello!
Amanda was born and raised here in Morehead City. During her senior year of high school, while doing a work study program in our office, she grew a liking for the dental field. She started working for Dr. Davis in 2015, and is looking forward to assisting him for many years to come! Amanda has a sweet personality, and makes sure our patients have an enjoyable experience when visiting the office.
Amanda married her long time boyfriend, Jeremy Dixon, in the summer of 2020. The family lives down east with their adorable son, Kaz, and fur baby, a Black Lab named Gracie. She loves to travel, but not too far from home. One of her favorite vacation spots is Bays Mountain in Kingsport TN, it's definitely worth a Google! She has an amazing family and loving, supportive friends that she enjoys spending her free time with.
Meg began her dental hygiene career in her hometown of Jacksonville, NC. She is a 2014 graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program of Coastal Carolina Community College. Meg practiced in Jacksonville for 3.5 years, but was looking for the opportunity to branch out. She joined our practice in the summer of 2017, when she moved to the Crystal Coast. Meg was elated to at last be living near her mother, who has been in Morehead City since the early 2000's.
Meg got engaged in June of 2021 to her now fianc, Jeremy Rodamakaer. The two plan to wed in the summer of 2022. The couple stays quite busy throughout the year. You can find them traveling, hosting dinner and pool parties at their home in Pine Knoll Shores, and spoiling their two pups, Lady and Tramp. Meg is a frequent member of the Sports Center, and enjoys staying active and fit outside of her busy schedule. She spends the summertime boating with friends and family, and winter months skiing blue diamonds throughout the U.S. She has an infectious personality that shines thru her constant jokes and laughter. She is patient-focused, driven to provide a personable experience, along with the highest quality of care possible. Meg enjoys building relationships with her patients, and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health. She is truly thankful to have found a great team to work with everyday.
Bethany is our latest addition, joining the team at the begining of 2021. She obtained her Dental Assisting and Hygiene Degrees from Coastal Carolina Commity College. Bethany has been in the dental field since 2014, but embarked in her hygiene career in 2018. Alongside her dental degrees, Bethany earned a Bachelor's Degree in Commuinication Disorders and Deaf Education, while in school.
Originally from California, Bethany always had a dream of living on the Crystal Coast. In 2011, she moved 3,000 miles away from her hometown of Lodi, to the beautiful Carteret County. Bethany soon met and married Jeremy Smith, who many know from his years at Atlantic Beach Surf Shop. The Smith's enjoy spending their free time with their son, Liam, and fur baby, a Yellow Lab named Cane. With her continuous positive attitude and contagious smile, Bethany is a great addition to our team.
Tricia Wojciechowski has been with the Barrett Davis dental team for over 8 years. Her current role is the Finance and Insurance Coordinator. Our patients and staff enjoy her bubbly, positive personality and radiant smile. If you have any questions regarding billing or insurance coverage, she can help, as she has been in the field for over 30 years!
She loves helping her husband, Mark, with his custom-home building business; she has a long time passion for interior decorating. Tricia keeps busy on her days off, devoting her weekends to their three children. Chelsea, married and expecting the first grand baby in July of 2021!; Patrick, attending ECU; Macy competing on the volleyball courts of West Carteret High School. The Wojo's enjoy boating on Wade Shore, tennis, hosting get together's at their home and traveling. Tricia thoroughly enjoys being part of a hard-working, dedicated and fun dental team!
Growing up in Morehead City, Ashlee was feeling adventurous, and decided to leave her home town scene in early 2010. She established roots in Charlotte, NC and had her daughter Kynlee, in 2014. She was soon missing home, and the Crystal Coast, and quickly planted her feet back at the beach.
Ashlee embarked on a small business journey in 2016, but felt she needed more. She landed her job with our office in early 2020. Behind her beautiful smile is a woman who is passionate about getting to know our patients, and making sure they receive quality service and attention
boating with friends and occasional fishing. Bonfires and oyster roasts occupy most chilly nights in the fall. She is so grateful for being a part of our dental team and looks forward to being with our practice for years to come.
We first met Brittany when she was in High School shadowing Dr. Davis. Brittany is attending dental school in Morgantown, WV. Brittany grew up in Beaufort and graduated from ECU in 2017. On weekends she enjoys being on the water, boating, sun bathing and water sports.
She plans on joining the practice after she graduates form dental school in 2024. Until then she continues to be a part of our dental family. When she is in town she stops by to catch up and any time she has a question she know Dr. Barrett is just a phone call away.

I would like to highly recommend he staff at Barrett Davis Dentistry. They are very professional are listen to their patients. I have been a patient for ten years now and have always gotten excellent service. On one occasion Dr. Davis even came in on a holiday to attend to my needs! Most importantly they take time to listen to their patients. I had mentioned at one visit that I was reducing my use of plastics because of their negtive impact on the environment. Six months later after my cleaning, they presented me with a bamboo toothbrush insteadof the plastic ones! Thank you Dr. Davis and staff - you are the best!

Very professional office and their experience shows. I saw another dentist in MHC (who has since had their license suspended by the state) and this person did a terrible job -- fillings that fell out, advised a crown when I didn't need one -- just 100% shoddy, lazy, unprofessional work. I went to Dr. Davis for a consult about the crown and he advised replacement. He was very professional when I discussed the problems with the other dentist. They will never "bad mouth" another business in town. He was so gracious and did not charge for the consult. The first crown caused me a lot of drama and pain so I was resistant to having it redone. I finally accepted it and Dr. Davis did an outstanding job. It was custom made on the spot. He has equipment that did optical scans of all my teeth and generated a crown for a custom fit to the very strange "tooth" left behind by the other dentist. He spent 5-10 minutes virtually customizing it on the screen, making sure the contours of the tooth were smooth and gave the neighboring tooth some breathing room. It took about 45 minutes to prepare the porcelain crown. It's never fun having major dental work like this, but Dr. Davis' experience shined because he had me in and out in about three hours. The original crown took 12 hours all together, and they made me wait 2 weeks to have the crown (improperly) crafted by a third party. I am grateful that Dr. Davis is part of our MHC community because now I have an actual white tooth-shaped crown, rather than a mangled piece of gold alloy that left the tooth exposed. Needless to say, I would recommend Dr. Davis' practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.

I'm an Extremely timid, scared patient and Dr. Davis and his entire team work effortlessly to ensure my fears are noted and I'm made comfortable and care for with kid gloves. My visit today was unexpected as the side of my tooth decided to fall off. This office worked me in and before I knew it Dr. Davis had fixed my tooth. What an amazing office and staff.

This was my first visit since relocating to PKS in October 2020, and I was very satisfied with the entire experience. My first scheduled appointment wasn't until November; however, since I am retiring in August I needed an earlier one, and with a cancellation I got it on Tuesday. After arriving, I was greeted and easily completed the patient information via electronic tablet. Meg greeted me as my hygienist and proceeded to "wow" me with her passion for customer/patient focus. Meg is wonderful! Dr. Davis wrapped up the visit to complete the excellent customer experience!

Moved to Atlantic Beach about a year ago and needed to find a new dentist. Picked Dr Barrett and boy did I pick right! Awesome dental practice. Very clean. New, up to date equipment. Very sweet and helpful staff. Fill out the "paperwork" on their iPad making it so much faster. Did a GREAT cleaning! Loved my hygienist and Dr. Barrett and check in and check out. Made my next appointment for 6 months. HIGHLY recommend!

Love this practice! The entire staff (including the temp hygienist who was filling in---thanks Mad for getting me in so quickly) is great! Meghan the hygienist I saw was gentle, considerate (warm water instead of cold during my cleaning ), and friendly.. Dr. Barrett Davis seems to be well regarded by all of his staff and I had have heard only rave reviews.from patients. So thankful I have found a great place to take care of my dental health!
