Dr. Steve Tseng graduated from Rice University in Houston, TX in 1999 with a bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio dental school and received his DDS degree in 2007. He completed his pediatric dental residency and masters degree at the University of Washington and Seattle Childrens Hospital and received his certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in 2013. He graduated with several honors and awards for scholarship, service and leadership including the Delta Dental Student Leadership award, International College of Dentists award, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Service award, Quintessence Periodontics award, and Richard H. Carr, Jr. scholarship. He continues to be active in professional societies and community activities.
Dr. Steve has previously worked in New Mexico, focusing on underserved and underprivileged areas, and he continues to travel there occasionally to provide pediatric dental work at the hospital. He enjoys working with children (and parents) to provide personalized plans to maintain and improve oral health, with an emphasis on education and prevention before dental cavities start. He is excited to open his practice in Prosper and bring over a decade of dental experience close to where he has lived since moving back to Texas.
Dr. Steve enjoys being outdoors and has climbed Mt. Rainier before leaving Seattle, and has recently started participating in triathlons. This past April, he recently completed his first Ironman triathlon, and he looks forward to doing more hiking and camping when the cooler weather comes back around. In the meantime, he is happy to be closer to his family, as well as all of the delicious Texas BBQ and southern hospitality!

I looked for over a month to find a place with an opening for my daughter to have very needed dental work under sedation. I was so relieved to book here and finally know she was going to get everything taken care of. The day before her appointment I call to make sure she can still be sedated with a slight cough and get a call back informing me that they'd cancelled her appointment over a week before her scheduled procedure. They'd called once and then sent a text after the call ended early, neither of which I received. I've looked everywhere. They never attempted to contact me over email or through my husband's number even though they had both on file. The lady I talked to on the phone said she fully knew we really needed that appointment but because I didn't respond with her previous dental records they cancelled without ever making a full on effort even though she admitted it was odd that I didn't call back. I never even received a cancellation notice or I would've called immediately to ask why it had be cancelled. The only thing they offered was oral sedation for *one* tooth but my daughter's history shows she does not respond well to that. I'm absolutely disappointed with the lack of communication attempts on their end and that we paid for a consultation that is completely useless now. We'll now have to pay out of pocket again for another consultation and have to start the process all over again leaving my daughter with teeth that need help for even longer. It's horrible knowing your child is in pain and was supposed to finally have relief but that it isn't going to happen now for who knows how long.

Right after we went out of Dr Steve's dental office , my girls are starting to ask: mom, when will be our next appointment to visit Dr Steve? We really like this dental office! This office has very clean environment and nice people! Dr Steve is very experienced to the kids. He is very patience to show me everything on the picture of my girl's teeth/ answer my questions and showing examples to help me to understand in details. He made my girls(9y, 7y and 4y) like so much with dentist visits!

The most pleasant experience for my 16 month daughter at her first dental appointment. Dr. Tsang is very patient, informative, and knowledgeable. His staff are so compassionate and welcoming. I would recommend this dental office for any child. Absolutely a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back.

What a wonderful experience with my 3 year old at Barnlight! We were introduced by a friend with a daughter of same age, and I wasn't expecting much at first not thinking how different it could be comparing to a regular/family dental practice. But, WOW-I'm so impressed! They were so welcoming to my daughter, the hygienist was very patient at introducing the tools to my daughter and made sure she felt comfortable before each step. Dr Steve was also so friendly and checked on the growth/development for her gum, jaws, teeth spacing...etc. they are so kid friendly and my daughter can't wait to be back! This dental office is THE BEST-KEPT SECRET IN TOWN! Dr. Steve and his entire staff are all amazing! His sweet receptionist, Sherise, is truly exceptional. Sherise is super friendly, takes care of all of your scheduling needs and goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is amazing! Dr. Steve is extremely kind, caring, and personable. His knowledge, skills and bedside manner is unmatched by any other. My four children have enjoyed the safe, comfortable, and reassuring environment Dr. Steve has created, for over a year. Oh, if only adults could be seen here, I'd switch in a heart beat! I love seeing my children at ease and actually enjoying their dentist visit.
