Barnes Dental Surgery Center - General dentist in Visalia, CABarnes Dental Surgery Center - General dentist in Visalia, CA

In order to become a dentist, I attended the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1990. I have been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years, and am currently the forensic dentist for Tulare County. I enjoy using my skills for different roles and always strive to stay current with new dental methods and technologies.

I love working with people to find a solution for dental issues so that they have healthy teeth and smiles. I feel like most of my patients are personal friends, and I always enjoy interacting with them! I love living in our community and helping those in it.

We have a great staff here, and they like to have a good time by joking around with our patients and making them feel comfortable. I have the best, most dedicated professionals that understand patient care!

I grew up in Southern California, and have lived in Visalia for more than 20 years. My son is Alex and my daughter is Makenna. We also have one dog and three cats at home! When Im not at work, I enjoy golfing, snow skiing, wake boarding, and traveling. I am also active in our community and am a supporter of CASA.

I was born and raised in Bogota Columbia. I studied dentistry at Javeriana University and graduated in 1982. In 1982, I also opened up my own practice. I moved to Visalia in 2001 with my wife Dr. Victoria Saldarriaga and my son Camilo. I have worked at this office since 2001 and continued to work there when Dr. Barnes purchased the practice in 2006. I enjoy all the patients I treat in the office and my goal is to make sure every patient is happy while they are in the office and when they leave after their dental work is completed.

I came to the valley in 1978 and raised a family. I worked for thirty years in the Fresno area hospitals and for six years in dental centers, including three years with Dr. Barnes. I strive to put patients at ease when they come for dental care and anesthesia care. Our daily events at the surgery center can be extraordinary for our patients, and require our compassion.

I have been working for Dr. Barnes since 2010. During my time employed at Dr. Barnes Dental Associates, I have come to appreciate how something as simple as improving someones smile can change his or her whole outlook of the way they view themselves. I look forward to many more years of happy smiles and meaningful friendships. My goal as an office manager is to make sure I am able to answer any questions patients have regarding their insurance or the treatment they will be receiving. I love to spend my free time with my family and children.

Here at the practice, I work hand in hand with your insurance to get a claim processed and paid. I make sure I keep up to date with all the new procedures and coding so I can bill correctly and thoroughly. I enjoy my job; everyone here works hard to make the patients feel like family, and it shows!

Whether your dental needs are a complete exam and cleaning, a full-mouth restoration, or anything in between, we promise to provide you with exceptional care as we enhance the natural beauty of your smile. Below are just some of the many procedures and services we regularly provide to our patients with a gentle touch, and stunning results. Your smile is our first priority, and well give you something to smile about.

He grinded the teeth of my dentures ruining them, instead of just fixing the botched reline. My dentures teeth locked together perfectly when I would bite down, then I went for my yearly reline. The top denture got misaligned slightly, causing my jaw to have to slide forward and to the right for the teeth to lock together. I told him as soon as he finished the reline. He just brushed it of and said give it a week, so I did. When I came back a week later instead of just sanding out some of the new liner and doing another reline on top. He decided to grind down the teeth so now they no longer lock together. He chose to ruin the permanent part of my dentures to save money on the material for the reline. Now I'm stuck with them for 3 more years till I can get new dentures. He didn't even tell me he was going to grind down the teeth, he just did it.

Worst dentist ever. My insurance doesn't cover anesthesia so I have to pay out of pocket and they messed up my sons root canal and now has to have that tooth removed completely. That means I will have to pay out of pocket again for the tooth to be removed. But now they've lost the referral. I try calling and it's a machine saying I've reached after hours even though they supposedly don't close till 5pm. Oh and good luck faxing paperwork. Trash place.

Very happy with both of my kids dental work. Love how the staff treated my special needs child. And took care of all his work in one day. It's really hard to find a dental office that can do all in one day. Seeing all the other negative reviews blows my mind. I don't understand how hard it is to follow the rules and read the policy. While in the lobby I heard and seen how the receptionist were being treated and it's unacceptable. Please treat people with respect. 1000% recommend barnes dental.

This business stole $850 from us. We were unsure if we wanted to do anesthesia, but they told us on the phone as long as we cancelled within 3 days we could get a refund. We call weeks in advance and they now say they will absolutely not issue a refund, that it's in the paperwork we signed. So because we signed a paper and overlooked that, it's okay to lie to us on the phone? I'm utterly shocked that a 'professional' business would do this, it's very scammy and says a lot about the integrity of the business that they are okay with lying over the phone and stealing almost 1K from people. So beware that this business lies and thieves. If you are going to do business with them, be extremely careful and look over the paperwork, because they have proven that they have zero issue verbally lying to their clients about their polices.

These guys are awful. Been waiting for an appointment for over a year with all four of my wisdom teeth impacted and needing to be removed. They won't schedule me a surgery date because they "won't put an autistic person under anesthesia."

Avoid these guys like the plague!!! To say that this was the worst customer service experience is an understatement. Absolutely inept office managers. Watch out! They called to tell us that we needed to get them 'updated' paperwork. They suggest that we might need to reschedule because the paperwork is 'required'. Then they drop the 'Were gonna have to charge you $500 cancellation fee' shady-shady-shady.

Very very rude, Barnes Dental made my fear 100 times worse, sometimes I have nightmers about my experiance there. The nurses did not care that I was freaked out, they were nice around my parents but when I went back into the surgery area they did not try to calm me down and the actually laughed at me. The entire time the doctor was on his phone. And at one point my shoe fell off and the nurse picked it up and threw it at me. My teeth before coming to Barnes bearley hurt at all but now after my surgery 1 month later my teeth are very sensative to heat also VERY BOTCHED dental work.

Absolutely the worst dental office!!!! To begin the receptionist are the rudest human beings I've ever met! I had major work done lots of fillings and root canals and had zero tooth pain prior to my visit with them, I have now been unable to eat solid food for over a month because my teeth are so painful. Finally got into my regular dentist today and these so called drs at Barnes left a nerve completely exposed and the fillings that were in place are falling out piece by piece. How this office is allowed to practice dentistry is beyond me. If negative stars were possible I'd be giving them that.
