Dr. Barkoff earned bachelor degree at Penn State University and his DDS degree at the NYU College of Dentistry. He then completed his residency at the VA Medical Center in Northport, NY. There, he received extensive training in prosthetic and implant dentistry. He is passionate about continuing education, having completed hundreds of hours of CE in implant and prosthetic driven training courses. He is always incorporating the latest techniques and equipment into the office, striving to continue to deliver the most cutting edge dentistry for his patients. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Nassau County Dental Society, and the International Dental Implant Association. In his spare time, Dr. Barkoff focuses on health and fitness and enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.
Dr. Jill Asheld is a graduate of Adelphi University and New York Universitys College of Dentistry. She is trained in implant and prosthetic procedures. When shes not working, Dr. Asheld enjoys traveling with her husband and baking and cooking for her family. She loves running and playing tennis and beach volleyball.

While completing his residency training at the VA hospital in Northport, Dr. Barkoff received extensive training in prosthetic and implant dentistry. He continues to stay on the cutting edge of dentistry and technology through continuing education courses. Its important to Dr. Barkoff that his patients receive the highest quality of care, with the newest techniques and equipment, while feeling comfortable and at home in his office.

Dr. Barkoff is originally from Woodbury, and currently resides in Syosset with his wife Ashley and their three sons, Brooks, Cooper and Hudson. In his spare time he enjoys exercising, playing sports with his kids, and spending time with his family.

From there, Dr. Asheld continued her education at New York Universitys College of Dentistry where she obtained her degree at the top of her class. She was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. After that Dr. Asheld completed her General Practice Residency at the Veterans Hospital in Northport, Long Island. There she had extensive training in restoring implants and complex prosthetic procedures. When shes not working, Dr. Asheld enjoys traveling with her husband and baking and cooking for her family. She loves running and playing tennis and beach volleyball.
Dr. Asheld and her team understand that going to the dentist can be a scary experience. As such, they try to do anything they can to make patients have a pleasant, pain-free experience, while using state of the art techniques. Dr. Asheld is involved in continuing education courses that expand on basic procedures learned throughout her training. Being up to date on the most advanced techniques allows her to ensure that her patients are receiving the best and most current care possible.

I highly recommend this dental practice. I called last Saturday morning due to a throbbing toothache, and I was able to get an appointment for that morning. I was welcomed as soon as I entered the building and had little wait time. The doctor was able to diagnosed the cause of the pain and clearly explained what was going on with my tooth. I was very comfortable and confident during my visit.

I have been a patient with Dr. Barkoff for over ten years. The level of care and attention he gives always puts myself and family members at ease with whatever dental services are needed. He and his staff always go above and beyond to be accommodating and explanatory. His newest facilities set the gold standard for dentistry- so much so that I travel at least 30 minutes for appointments. I am glad that we can find this level of trust in a dentist and highly recommend to others.

This is an incredible practice. It is beautiful and impeccably clean and modern. You are greeted by a friendly staff. Dr Barkoff is a wonderful dentist. He is gentle compassionate and a perfectionist. My hygienist Arlene is very meticulous. She carefully cleans and examines your teeth so thoroughly!!I would never want to go to another hygienist! Highly recommend!!!

Same great doctors and staff, significantly improved location! Large dedicated parking lot - no need to fight over parking spaces. Welcoming entrances both from the street and from the rear parking. Spa-like ambience and decor. Nice waiting area. Clean carpet-less floors. Well equipped rooms - with TVs on the ceiling for when you are reclined all the way for cleaning and procedures!

Dr. Asheld is a sweetheart. She made me feel very comfortable when I usually am nervous at the dentist and is very personable. She took her time, explained everything she was going to do before she did it, always asked how I was doing, and even addressed my concerns over another dental issue which was so helpful. Hands down one of the best Dental Practices I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in the door you just know you're in great hands. Andrea and Nichole are always super kind and helpful booking appointment and making sure you're all taken care of. The hygienists are always so knowledgeable and great. Dr Barkoff is a true expert. He cares for his patience and gives you a sense of calm during your visit. I come from the city which have numerous dentists to Long island to see Dr. Barkoff cause he's truly the best of the best.

The office is new and amazing! You can watch whatever you want on their televisions while they do your dental work ( they have all the latest apps like Hulu). The staff is beyond nice-- they actually focus on customer service which many medical offices don't. They are always trying to accommodate office visit times for you and and go out of their way to find a cancellation for you, if that time works better for you. Dr. Barkoff is experienced, knowledgeable and down to earth! He gets to know his patients. I can't remember any time where a dentist or doctor actually was apologetic that my phone call went to the answering machine- he is that concerned with customer service! I am so happy I started coming here a couple of years ago!

I put off going to the dentist for (too many) years, out of fear. A necessity made me go. The office staff was warm, welcoming, and reassuring. I felt extremely Covid-safe, and valued as a patient. Sonia came in and did the X-rays, and was calm and friendly. Then Dr. Asheld came in and told me clearly and professionally what I needed. She did the first step in the multi-step process. This was a painless and extremely positive experience. I'm so relieved and happy to have found my dental practice! You will be, too.
