Dr. Barkate spends all his free time with his wife, Krystal and their children, Maddie and Cooper. He stays active by playing with his family, volunteering in his community, and remembering to enjoy each and every day.

Dr. Nehi, is a Certified Orthodontic Specialist and proud Triple Trojan. Dr. Nehi completed his BS, MS, and DDS at the University of Southern California (USC). When he is not in the office, Dr. Nehi can be found perfecting his swing on the golf course, taking a spin class, or trying out the trendiest restaurants with his wife. Nehis wife, Sienna, is also a dentist and grew up in Newport Beach and attended Newport Harbor high school.

My children & I are patients & LOVE our visits to the Ortho. The entire staff is joyous & cares enough to take the time to get to know you. First point of contact, photography / X-ray to hands on clinical team - there isn't a weak link in the chain! Incredible staff & clean offices! The kids love the games while they wait, the friendliness of the clinical staff who engage/distract them when things are uncomfortable (retainer molds), & the warmth of the two orthodontists that are always present, interactive, friendly & engaging. As an adult, I was treated with the same care as my children & celebrated with the same enthusiasm when my braces came off (ring that bell & devour a decadent candy apple!). The team not only worked to meet their goals for my teeth / alignment but also wanted to make sure I was happy aesthetically. We sincerely love the entire team- front office to hands on team. Thank you for your sincere love for helping people smile with confidence!

We had a very pleasant experience with Barkate Nehi Orthodontics. The doctors and staff are friendly and professional. Appointments are on time, which is a big deal to us. Braces were just removed, and we're very happy with the results!

I came in looking to get Invisalign to straighten my teeth before my wedding. Dr. Nehi and the entire staff were so kind and helpful during the entire process! Not only am I super happy with the outcome of my smile, we were able to finish 2 months earlier than expected! I'm so grateful that we chose Barkate Nehi Orthodontics when it came time for braces for my kids. From the friendly front office staff to the thorough and detailed dental assistants, I felt at ease with our choice the entire time! A comprehensive plan and timeline was created for my son and we knew what to expect the entire time. He just got his braces off and his smile is everything! We have another child getting their braces on soon and I wouldn't think of taking him anywhere else. Barkate Nehi is just the BEST!

Perfect smile!! Thank you to both Dr Barkate and Dr Nehi for making my daughters smile perfect. The experience was amazing starting with the front staff, always greeting you with a smile and making scheduling easy. My daughter was very happy with both Dr Barkate and Dr Nehi, working with her to get the right spacing for her veneers later on and she was very satisfied with the end results. Dr. Barkate and the team are the best in the business. My wife, me, two kids, and grandmother have all had braces with them. I've never had any issues with appointments, getting in to see them for broken or lost retainers. They are truly the leading professionals in DDS office and service management.

Our family could not be happier with our experience at Barkate/Nehi! The level of care is top notch, collaborative and offers a very personal touch. In a very busy practice I have often been surprised over the years as the staff has time for a smile, a wave, recalls a past conversation, remembers important events that you have discussed and makes you feel like part of the family. They are always on time with aooointments and are flexible around busy school/sports schedules. If there needs to be communication with my child's dentist or oral surgeon the communication is quarterbacked by Dr Nehi and everyone is always in the loop! The smile on the face of my kids says it all !
