Dr. Barkate spends all his free time with his wife, Krystal and their children, Maddie and Cooper. He stays active by playing with his family, volunteering in his community, and remembering to enjoy each and every day.

Dr. Nehi, is a Certified Orthodontic Specialist and proud Triple Trojan. Dr. Nehi completed his BS, MS, and DDS at the University of Southern California (USC). When he is not in the office, Dr. Nehi can be found perfecting his swing on the golf course, taking a spin class, or trying out the trendiest restaurants with his wife. Nehis wife, Sienna, is also a dentist and grew up in Newport Beach and attended Newport Harbor high school.

We have been seeing Dr Barkate for years as our children go through phases 1 and 2. From the first consultation ten years ago to earlier today when my youngest picked up their post phase 2 retainers, the entire experience has been first class. Highly recommend!

My son just finished his second phase of braces with Dr. Barkate/Nehi. He has a beautiful new smile and couldn't be happier as he enters his first year of high school. The office is state of the art and efficient. In the years we have been coming for appointments, we have never had to wait. The front desk team will always fit you in quickly if a bracket breaks or an adjustment needs to be made. A fantastic group to trust your families smiles to. They are the BEST!!

Both of my kids went through braces with drs Barkate and Nehi. We appreciated the professionalism of all the staff in the Ladera office. Very nice and accommodating. The doctors are both really good with teens which made the appointments easy. Both kids now have beautiful smiles.

We had an amazing experience at Barkate Nehi Orthodontics for my son and are getting ready to start the journey with my daughter now. My son just got his braces off the week of senior portraits and his smile looks amazing! Everyone from their office that I had an interaction with was nice over the phone as well as in person. Barkate orthodontics should be your go-to choice for orthodontic work. We have four kids and have been to other orthodontists with the older ones. Barkate has been far superior. They are gentle and communicate well with young patients. I always appreciate the atmosphere they create --positive productive teamwork. My son is always happy to go to his appointments.
