Dr. J received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in Wisconsin in 2001. He received his Bachelors of Science degree from San Jose State University with a major in Biology and minor in Organic Chemistry.
Dr. Jamil Abdelghani, DDS (also known as Dr. J by patients and staff) has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. He is passionate about dental health, and he loves to get to know his patients and their families so he can better serve their dental needs.
Dr. J was born in Hartford, Connecticut. Throughout his life, he has lived all over the United States. He traveled west to California to earn his Bachelors of Science degree from San Jose State University where he majored in Biology and minored in Organic Chemistry. Then in 2001, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been practicing dentistry ever since.
He owned and ran his own successful practice in Phoenix, Arizona for 10 years. His patients were so happy with his compassion, excellent quality of care, and friendliness that they nominated him for the Top Dentist in the Community award from Doctors in the Community which he won in 2013!
Finally, in 2018, Dr. J and his family decided to settle down in Largo, Florida and take over Bardmoor Family Dental from the previous owners. He has successfully built a reputation for being a considerate dentist, and he always gives patients multiple treatment options so they can choose the care that is best for their budget and their health.
Dr. J believes that preventative care is the most important step for a healthy smile. Routine checkups are vital because they allow your dentist to catch small problems and treat them before they become serious, painful or expensive. Dr. J routinely completes more than the required Florida Continuing Education hours each year to provide his patients with the highest quality of care available.
