Dr. J received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in Wisconsin in 2001. He received his Bachelors of Science degree from San Jose State University with a major in Biology and minor in Organic Chemistry.
Dr. Jamil Abdelghani, DDS (also known as Dr. J by patients and staff) has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. He is passionate about dental health, and he loves to get to know his patients and their families so he can better serve their dental needs.
Dr. J was born in Hartford, Connecticut. Throughout his life, he has lived all over the United States. He traveled west to California to earn his Bachelors of Science degree from San Jose State University where he majored in Biology and minored in Organic Chemistry. Then in 2001, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been practicing dentistry ever since.
He owned and ran his own successful practice in Phoenix, Arizona for 10 years. His patients were so happy with his compassion, excellent quality of care, and friendliness that they nominated him for the Top Dentist in the Community award from Doctors in the Community which he won in 2013!
Finally, in 2018, Dr. J and his family decided to settle down in Largo, Florida and take over Bardmoor Family Dental from the previous owners. He has successfully built a reputation for being a considerate dentist, and he always gives patients multiple treatment options so they can choose the care that is best for their budget and their health.
Dr. J believes that preventative care is the most important step for a healthy smile. Routine checkups are vital because they allow your dentist to catch small problems and treat them before they become serious, painful or expensive. Dr. J routinely completes more than the required Florida Continuing Education hours each year to provide his patients with the highest quality of care available.

Great experience! I have never enjoyed going to the dentist untill I found Bardmoor family dental. The entire crew at Bardmoor family dental is very professional and make it a comfortable, easy experience. Tatiana has very gentle hands when doing the cleaning which makes the experience way better. . Dr J is very thorough and takes time to explain any questions you have. Maegan is super helpful and on top of all the paperwork side of things to make it quick and easy. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Just outstanding service.

I have an autoimmune disease that has a side effect of dry mouth, which causes cavities (I was unaware of this). I had many issues with my teeth. Had not gone to a dentist since the beginning of Covid. I found Bardmoor Family Dental on line and boy, am I happy I did. Dr. J is amazing. His whole staff is. I never thought I would say this, but I actually had fun going to the dentist. Nancy & Dr. J both have a great sense of humor, which helps make the chair time fun. This place is the best! I badly needed a cleaning since I've been unable to get one since Covid. They were able to get me in for my new patient exam immediately and I had a follow up cleaning scheduled within a week! Dr. J and his staff are all very personable and pleasant! The dental hygienist Tatiana was the most gentle one I've ever had! That was the most pain free and pleasant cleaning of my life. Megan the receptionist is phenomenal in her job from first contact to any follow up appointments. She went above and beyond to try to get me in for a cleaning even when there were no available appointments. This place has my continued business!!!

I had a dental emergency called Bardmoor family dentist and they were able to see me that day for an emergency surgery, My new insurance wouldn't pay for it but they hooked me up thanks Bardmoor family dentistry!! You're the best

Dr. Jamil is the best dentist I have ever been. He's very gentle and finished my bridge procedure without pain. He's a perfectionist and very patient. The staffs are very friendly especially Nancy and Megan. I will definitely recommend this place

Broke the bonding On my front tooth on sat, looked on line and found this wonderful dentist on sun Was booked the very next day Greeted by friendly staff!! 1 X RAY of the tooth and was fixed on the spot My nightmare was over and got my smile back, the Dr. Was excellent And I walked out of there very happy!!
