Dr. Kokila Punia is a graduate of New York University where she received her DDS degree with honors in Aesthetics. She is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, recipient of the Academic Excellence Award and Proficiency Award in Removable Prosthodontics at NYU. She completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Manipal University, one of the premium medical schools in India and was awarded a Gold Medal in Oral Surgery.
Dr. Punia is a trained Invisalign and Hiossen Implant provider and has worked on significant cases on smile improvement techniques. She keeps her skills up to date by attending continuing education courses in Implants, restorative dentistry and OSHA regulations among the few which she does on an ongoing basis. She is keen on building long lasting relationships and providing gentle and high quality dental care for her patients, the reason for a high percentage of referral cases. Dr. Punia was recognized as the 'Top Dentist' In South Jersey magazine.
Dr. Punia is married and has one son. She loves to be with her family in her spare time. Her hobbies include reading, exploring new travel locations, interior decoration and anything involved with creativity and art.
Dr. Parkhursts passion for dentistry began in high school over 25 years ago when she trained to be a dental assistant. The experience drove her to pursue and education and a career in Dental Hygiene, which she practiced for 10 years while working toward her ultimate goal of becoming a dentist. Dr. Parkhurst has a passion for the art and science of dentistry, with an ultimate goal of building professional long lasting relationships with patients based on trust and honesty. Her goal is to provide you with the best comprehensive care possible.
During Dr. Parkhursts Studies at New Jersey Dental School in Newark and her residency program at Staten Island University Hospital in NY; she was awarded with many prestigious awards for excellence in dentistry. She also graduated Omicron Kappa Upsilom Alumini (a dental Honor society). Although interested in all faucets of dentistry Dr. Parkhurst took particular interest in surgical procedures. She took advanced oral surgery courses in dental school and spent many hours on continuing her education related to advanced surgical procedures and implant placement. She has particular interest in full mouth rehabilitation both with and without dental implants.
Dr. Parkhurst believes education is an ongoing commitment and regularly attends continuing education related to advancements in technology, techniques and materials to implement into her daily practice.
When not practicing her passion; Dr. Parkhurst lives in New Jersey with her spouse, daughter, and their dogs Ginger and Cinnamon. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, sightseeing, hiking, and various arts and craft projects.
Cara joined Barclay Family Dental in 2019. She has been working in the dental field for 18 years, where she held the position of clinical manager/clinical lead. She has immense experience not only in management and supporting areas such as purchasing and operations, but has also assisted general dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, implantology, as well as extensive cosmetic and restorative cases. She works diligently alongside Dr. Parkhurst & Dr. Punia as they take dentistry to another level on a daily basis. Cara loves making an impact in the lives of her patients, simply by aiding in the transformation of their smile.
Kathy has been a part of the Barclay Family Dental team from the very beginning in 2017. Kathy started her career as a dental hygienist 19 years ago, and has been at Barclay Family Dental for 5 years. She has worked with Dr.Punia & Dr. Parkhurst for 8 years. Together they have combined their skills and knowledge to bring you an unforgettable dental experience. Kathy reassures every patient that there is no reason to fear or be embarrassed when coming to the office. Whether you are 5 years old or 100 years old, the compassion and quality of care given remains the same. She thrives daily to not only educate her patients, but works at being the best clinician possible. Her daily goal is for each patient to leave with a smile, and return with an even bigger one.
Stephanie joined Barclay Family Dental in 2020. She ahs been in the dental field for 2 years where she takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and excels in her role as patient coordinator. You will find Stephanie working behind the scenes, handling insurances, financials, and the day-to-day scheduling. Every patient interaction is important to her and she always aims to reassure them that they are being provided the BEST care.
Erica has been in the dental field for 19 years. She joined Barclay Family Dental in 2018, where she carries out multiple duties under the role of Clerical Lead-which embraces both roles as Insurance & treatment coordinator. Ericas daily goal is to give each patient the care that they deserve and help them understand the process when it comes to their treatment. Erica works with each patient individually to help them bring their treatment to completion with a 5-star Barclay Family experience.
Dena has been part of Barclay Family Dental since 2017. She also has worked with Dr. Punia & Dr. Parkhurst for over 10 years. She has been in the dental field for 20 years, where she not only has assisted but took on other opportunities as an insurance coordinator. When Dena joined Barclay Family Dental, she then combined her sk lls and has obtained the position of office manager. She enjoys the day-to-day interactions with all of her patients, and her priority is to ensure that everyone has a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Ivannie is the newest member to the Barclay Family team. She started at Barclay Family Dental in February 2022, and has been a dental assistant for over a year. Her favorite part of dentistry is oral surgery, and implant involved cases.
Ivannie always wanted to be veterinary technician but found a huge interest in teeth and the oral cavity. In her free time her favorite thing is going to concerts. She has loved attending shows since she was a teenager.
June started her dental career in 2019. She joined Barclay Family Dental in 2021 as a dental assistant. Her favorite thing about dentistry is anything that involves surgery. Surgical cases intrigue her, and finds great interest in implants and all on x cases. She finds her job rewarding, especially when patients leave with a bigger smile than they came in with.

Awesome dentist!! Kathy cleaned my teeth so well my teeth look like new sparkling. I have not been to a dentist in years & I was so comfortable. This is truly a hidden gem dentist.

Haven't been to the dentist in quite some time. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and they were all super nice. They were very attentive, and always checked on me periodically to make sure I was okay. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I can not express the amount of gratitude and appreciation I have for this dental office. My daughter is extremely nervous when it comes to dentists. Somehow, the dental hygienist and the dentist both managed to keep her nerves calm and she had such a smooth visit, twice! The dentist was so thorough in explaining to my daughter all that she would be doing and even allowed my daughter to feel what the "fill in" would feel like once done. My daughter really enjoyed being treated as an equal and I very highly commend the dentist for being so personable and humble with her to make her feel comfortable. The front staff and back staff are all wonderful with a pleasant demeanor. I felt very welcomed and will definitely have my entire family go to this office from now on for dental work. I will be highly recommending this office to anyone I know who needs a dentist in the area.

I just recently had some extreme dental work done that included having a implants done and I could be happier with how they turned out. They completely transformed my smile and brought it back to life! The doctor took her time with placement which the location of them was not the easiest. I would highly recommend coming to Barclay Family Dental for any type of dental care you may need.

The cleaning was good, I felt like I got a detailed cleaning and it was pretty painless. I had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cleaning at the dentists office. The lady who cleaned my teeth was a pro! I just wish they took horizon so my nephew could come here too.

i had been going to the same dentist since '94, almost 30 years, but she recently retired, so it was not easy to pick a new dentist. however, i could not have been more pleased with my first visit at barclay family dental. everyone including the receptionist, hygienist, and dentist were all very friendly and thorough. the dentist even complimented my previous dentist with positive comments about the condition of my teeth. nobody really "looks forward" to dental visits, but it's comforting to know i have found my new dental office. thanks.

Completely painless extraction of not 1, not 2, but 3 stubborn previously root canaled teeth. Dr Parkhurst was very patient and Cara did great assisting. Will definitely recommend.

Very nice people and friendly . They actually put time into cleaning and caring for your teeth unlike other places i've been to. They do a very nice job and they even show you on a screen the inside of your mouth when theres a problem so you can see it for yourself

Barclay family dental is hands down the best! Not only are they knowledgeable, but very gentle with cleanings as well. I even sent my friends and family over to them. Thanks for a wonderful cleaning !!

Firstly I'd like to just say Dr. Punia and the staff at Barclay are the best. Secondly I'd like to address a review I saw on here or Yelp that said they try to pad your bill. Absolutely FALSE! If anything they go out of their way to help you. They DO, do a comprehensive check up on your teeth and explain what the RECOMMENDED treatments are. They are not pushy at all. She's a dr. It's her job(and she does it well and with class) to tell us what we need to hear and what will give us the best possible results for our teeth. Nothing is more nerve racking than a dentist visit. I've had 3 visits at Barclay. Dr. Punia first saw me after reaching out to me on a Sunday after I left her a voicemail on their emergency line. She saw me immediately the next day drained an abscess that literally made my face look like I had a baseball in my mouth(no exaggeration). She drained my abscess and prescribed me antibiotics which helped in about a day. I've had 2 teeth taken out since that first visit and while I was a bit nervous Dr. Punia and her staff make the otherwise miserable experience of getting a tooth pulled not so bad. She talks you through the entire experience. My first tooth was literally lodged in between 2 other teeth and she pulled that thing out with precision! Not even touching the other 2 teeth. Going to the dentist is never fun but if you have to go, go to a dentist like Dr. Punia. I will be recommending Barclay to anyone I know in need of dental services.
