Dr. Meri is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. While there, he earned the Comprehensive Care Award, given to the top student in clinic. Dr. Meri was the youngest student in his class and was the first student hired out of school.
Since 2008, Dr. Meri has attended numerous training sessions on the placement, restoration, and management of dental implants. His training spanned many cities including Chicago, Las Vegas, Columbus and Miami. He is a member of the I.C.O.I. (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), MDA, ADA, and the AGD. Dr. Meri enjoys designing, milling, and custom shading anterior veneers, posterior crowns, and bridge work. He has received training on custom life-like esthetics from the top dental technicians in the country and it has become a great passion for him. However, Dr. Meris greatest passion and proudest accomplishment are his five children and his wife, whom he loves spending his free time with.
The friendly staff members work hard to make patients feel at home, and Dr. Meri is quick to put his patients at ease with light humor. Our office uses pure, filtered water so our patients can rinse without getting a bad taste or any chemicals in their mouths.
Dr. Meri has an easy manner and a genuinely friendly smile. When he says that he truly cares about his patients, its easy to believe him. Thats why he installed tvs in every room so patients can watch their favorite shows, does the best he can to make shots painless and calls each patient the evening after they undergo a procedure to see how theyre doing.
Patient care doesnt stop when they leave the office you have to take care of the patients, especially after a long procedure. As Dr. Meri has seen, people respond to the way he treats them. Patients travel from all over for Dr. Meris attentive care.
Since 2009, Dr. Meri has been a member of the NFDH (National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped). He has helped a multitude of patients that are disabled, elderly, and medically compromised. This organization is sponsored by the state of Michigan, The Michigan Dental Association, and Delta Dental of Michigan.
Courtney graduated from baker college in 2009 and has an Associates of Applied Science degree and is certified in nitrous oxide, local anesthetic and has obtained a level one laser certification. Courtney loves her work because of the great patients. One of her favorite things about her job is getting to know each patients specific needs and helping meet those individually. In Courtneys free time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Chelsey is a Dental Assistant at Barclay Dental. Her favorite part of being an assistant is making patients laugh and feel at ease in the chair. She is certified in E4D technology and X-Rays. Chelsey is married and enjoys reading, cooking, and taking walks with her pup.
Renee Osterland has been working with Dr. Nael Meri for the last 16 years. She has been in the dental field for over 20 years. Renee is married with three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping & gardening.
Shannon entered the dental field over 20 years ago and has been a part of the Barclay Dental family for several years now. She completed her education at the University of Detroit Mercy where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She also holds certifications for both Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide administration. Shannon is married and is blessed with two very active boys. Shannons favorite part of her job is the beautiful environment in which she works and the ability to treat patients to her fullest potential. Her passion is working with kids and strongly believes going to the dentist at an early age has huge advantages. This will promote excellent oral hygiene habits as growing adults. Outside of work, Shannon loves going on vacation, yoga, half marathons/charity runs, movie night, and watching her kids play soccer.
Lori is a graduate of Ferris State University. She has been practicing Dental Hygiene for over 30 years and has been with Dr. Meri since 2013. Lori strive to improve the dental health of all her patients. She enjoys working with Dr. Meri and all the staff. Lori is married and has 2 children. In her free time she likes to spend time with family, travel, read and go to the movies.
Becky is the Front Office Coordinator at Barclay Dental. She has her Associates from Macomb Community College and Bachelors from Wayne State University with her Major in Communications. Becky wears a diverse number of hats; Patient Relations, Financial, Scheduling, Treatment Plans, Billing, and Insurance Coordinator. She enjoys the forever changing and challenging fast pace that her job offers. At the end of the day her goal is for complete patient satisfaction and to be comfortable with their dental experience. Becky loves her job and the team she works with and feels the most satisfying part of her job is being able to say with confidence that patients are in best possible hands with Dr. Meri and the staff. Becky is married with four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing games, going to the movies, and photography.

Legitimately the best dentist I've ever been too. Dr. Meri is nothing short of incredible. He fixed all my cavities and saved me from needing a root canal. If your scared of pain, he's the best at giving you a pain free experience. He even bough a laser to do fillings which makes it 99% painless. If you need a good dentist you found it.

I recently visited Dr Meri for an infected tooth with a failed root canal. We decided it's best to remove it and place an implant. In about 3 months, I received my implant! I was very nervous at first, but Dr Meri and his staff explained everything and put me at ease. The process was painless and I'm very happy with the result! Thank you!

I had two cavity's filled here and it was quick and easy. They had a laser tool they used to fix my tooth in around 15 minutes. Everyone was incredibly friendly as well. I recommend this place highly.

Doc is truly the best dental surgeon I have used in my 57 years. He fixed my issues with 3 implants, having previously seen numerous other dentists both in the U.S and in my home country of the United Kingdom. I've just had some minor work completed with his "new" laser machine; what can I say other than I wished this was around 57 years ago!!! Anyone that has the slightest apprehension about the dentist should at the very least go and try this new procedure, works great on smaller issues, no injections, no pain!!!. Fantastic way to introduce young children to the dentist. I can't praise Doc's qualities and artistry enough, true genius of the dentistry world and an altogether very nice guy. Keep up the great work, your friend Russ.

Experience is always great. Dr. Meri is very professional and personable. I had a cavity filled in without drilling or numbing using a laser machine to remove any decay and it was much better than the usual cavity experience.

I took my 3 1/2 year old daughter to Dr Meri to have her fillings done . We were so relieved when we found out there would be no shots and no drilling . Her fillings were done by laser treatment . She did not feel a thing and everything was done very quickly . His staff is absolutely amazing there . I highly recommend Barclay dental.

I have to share that Dr. Meri is the best. His precision and techniques are awesome. I have been going there for many years and he's helped me sustain my dental health all along. Strangely feeling at ease going to the office knowing I am care for with positive results. I will put my trust in him and his office forever. Today I had my first filling with a laser and it was awesome! No novacaine shot and hours of face numbness. It took only 10 minutes or so. Very cool procedure!

5 out of 5? NO 10 out of 10!!! This dentist is AMAZING!! If you are looking for a dentist look no further! He's knowledgeable, honest and funny. We all know children (and adults) fear the dentist but he's so professionally funny warm and welcoming my child always asks when is my next appointment!? She cannot wait to see Dr Meri! His whole staff knows how to make you feel right at home. They have the latest up to date technology. They used this awesome laser to fix a cavity no numbing shots or drilling necessary, didn't feel a thing super quick and painless. I highly, beyond recommend them for painless procedures. Dr Meri THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

This was my first visit to Barclay dental and Dr. Meri. I needed to have two extractions due to abscess. Both Dr. Meri and the entire staff were knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Meri even called me at home the night of the procedure to check on me. That goes a long way with me.

I've been going to Barclay dental for many years and have always had great experience! Today I had a dental emergency and Dr. Meri was able to accommodate his schedule for me and come in to the office during off hours. Not many people would do that! I highly recommend Barclay Dental and Dr. Meri.

Today, I was astonished at the technological advances that the office has. While filling in my cavity, Dr. Meri used a laser machine to fix in my cavities. It took approximately 5 minutes to do everything and it was completely painless (no shot required). I 100% recommend this place!!!
