One of Dr. Youngs greatest joys is the expression of her professional life. She has chosen dentistry as a career and finds that it is a good fit for her. It has given her the opportunity to share her talents on an individual basis each day. Whether she is in the office or teaching, she is proud to offer the best the field of dentistry has to offer to those around her.
Her educational background runs from attending high school in a small town to doctoral training in the city. She attended University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and completed her degree in chemistry. She continued on to earn a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific, San Francisco, California, in 1986.
Jennifer received her dental assisting credentials in 1998 at the Concord Career Institute. She brings 12 years of experience to the table. Jennifer has found throughout the years that working the front desk is her best role.
Yang has been a dental hygienist for nearly 19 years. She graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Arkansas, the Razorbacks. Arkansas is only her second hometown. The first 21 years of her life were spent in Beijing, China. She has found that speaking fluent English and Mandarin has helped her in effectively communicating in the dental field, especially in San Diego. Yang has been practicing for 15 years in San Diego. She has worked 12 of those years in a periodontal specialty office. She is experienced in helping her patients achieve their best gum health. Yang is known for her gentle and thorough dental cleanings. She takes the time to teach her patients the essential knowledge and skills needed to maintain their oral health at home.
Having moved to San Diego in 1986, she worked at United Airlines for 22 years. She decided to switch careers to work in the health care industry. Julie graduated with honors from SWC in dental hygiene. She has participated in CDA Cares and plans to carry out more hygiene experience through mission trips once her children graduate.
Grace joined our team showcasing her love of dentistry and a desire to create beautiful smiles. Practicing as a licensed registered dental assistant for the past 21 years, she enjoys helping people achieve beautiful smiles. Grace has brought humor to the office and brightens the spirits of our patients. She believes that laughter heals the soul. With her extensive knowledge and experience, she is committed to customizing your dental care both behind the scenes and chairside.
Patrice has been in the dental field for over three decades. She began her career as a rover working in both the front and back office positions. She went on to become licensed as a registered dental assistant and eventually transitioned to working full time in the front office. It was there that she brought her dental office into the age of computerization. Working in all specialties, with an emphasis in orthodontics, she continued to grow. Patrice has a passion for helping patients achieve their optimal oral health.

I went in for a crown that fell off suddenly. They took me in to check the tooth and had a quick appointment to replace the crown. I had an easy and comfortable time and the staff is absolutely amazing!

Dr. Young and her staff are excellent! She stays current on all the latest dentistry research and always goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable. Dr. Young took her time during our appointments to reassure me and addressed the fear I had from bad experiences with previous dentists. She gives practical instructions to maximize your dental health and her staff are all fantastic. I recommend her highly!

Dr.Young and staff are great folks! I feel like a part of their family when I go there. They are thorough with patient care and flexible with scheduling around my time. I've never had a dentist so thoughtful and give me so much dental advice. Dr.Young can tell when I've been stressed when my jaw is locking up and gives me tips on how to protect my teeth with a night guard. I really appreciate our conversations about material science and thermodynamics in relation to fillings, dental composites, etc. I highly recommend them.

Barbara is the best dentist I've ever had as she is very clear with how to best care for your teeth and let's you know exactly what is best for you in terms of procedures and fixes. Not to mention she is just great to speak with and everyone I've interacted with on their staff is top notch. Can't recommend highly enough!

I was very surprised that I got switch to a different Hygenist without being consulted. I. Noticed The Hygenist didn't wear the Covid protection outfit that I was charged $10. For. I am still happy with services You wanted my feed back and here it is. Thank you for your help always. Luis.

Been going here for many years now, I always appreciate the pragmatic, cautious approach, Dr. Young does not rush in to recommend procedures that I might not need. She and her staff are big on recommending preventive measures (floss, brush, mouthwash, flouride rinse, night guard) and when issues have popped up, she always takes the time explain and make sure I understand things.

This was my first visit with Dr. Young and it went fantastic! I normally dread being in the dentist office, but Dr. Young was incredibly patient and very knowledgeable. She took the time to educate me on what she was doing and how to better care for my teeth. Her staff is very friendly and determined to get the insurance co-pays correct. I truly appreciate all the work they put into my visit! I will be returning to Dr. Young's office anxiety free.

I was terrified of dentists because of my past experiences. Dr. Young and her staff were so patient with me, gave me breaks during procedures so I could cope with it, and laid out a treatment plan that was the best for me. Wonderful practice. Clean and felt safe (despite COVID). Pleased that Young and Young spent more than 90 minutes with me for routine dental cleaning. Strongly recommend.
