In private practice in Arlington, Massachusettssince 1991, Dr. Barbara Lawnicki is a kind, compassionate dentistwho uses the most advanced dental techniques available. She practices comfortable, health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on getting to know each of her patients.
In addition to being a master at her craft, Dr. Lawnicki takes the time to get to know each and every one of her patients by listening carefully so that she can design and explainthe best treatment plansuited tothe individuals needs. She has dedicated her practice to showing how exceptional dentistry can improve thehealth, appearance and self-confidence of her patients.
Dr. Lawnicki grew up and attended high school in Woburn, MA. Sheearned herbachelors degree fromBoston College then went on to receive her doctorate (DMD) degree from the Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Sheis a member in good-standing of theAmerican Dental Association, Massachusetts State Dental Associationand East Middlesex Dental Society.
In addition to her primary training,Dr. Lawnickiis dedicated to her continuing educationandprides herselfon participating in the many hours of the extended training required to stay a master of her craft. Courses taken at thePankey Institute, theSeattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, and theKois Centercover topics such asesthetics, occlusion, restorative dentistry, oral pathology, temporal mandibular joint issuesand bite splint therapy. Dr. Lawnicki also belongs to several study groups including the Dental Synergy Group. These highly skilled dental professionals meet regularly to discuss theadvantages of the mostinnovative methods and techniques available in dentistry today as well as discuss difficult case treatments.
Dr. Lawnicki is committed to the Arlington Community andis a member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.She has been married for 19 years and has two childrenwho attended St. Agnes school in Arlington where she was elected to the School Board and served for 2 years.
Paula Bernaiche was trained at The Bryman School as a Dental Assistant and began her career with Dr.Lawnicki 21 years ago. Paula was not only a great dental assistant but took on several roles to help Dr. Lawnicki build her practice. Now, as Front Desk Administrator, Paula is the first person you see when you walk in the door which is perfect since she has that special ability to put a smile on everyones face. Her wonderful laugh, along with her empathetic disposition, puts even the most anxious patient at ease. Paula credits her long career with Dr. Lawnicki to the feeling of family she gets from everyone working here as well as from the patients.
Nadine Drzewiecka was trained as a Dental Assistant at the Bryman School and began working for Dr. Lawnicki 18 years ago. Her caring, patient manner as well as her unbelievable memory make her an asset to the practice. Another staff member with longevity, she loves the fact that laughter is a normal part of every day making it fun to come to work and this shows in the way she treats her patients. Although Nadine loves all who come to the office, shedoes havea special place in her heart for our more senior patients.
Kathy Alesse is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been practicing for 25 years andhas an Associate Degree in Science from Middlesex Community College. Four years ago, Kathy began working for Dr. Lawnickijust on Mondays but recently switched to Wednesdays and Thursdays andfeels the best part of working at this practiceis the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. For Kathy,the favorite part of being a hygienistis educating her patients to promote optimum health and great smiles and she really enjoys seeing the results of all her hard work just take a closer look at her beautiful smile!
Although Bonnie only works at the office part-time, she has had a huge impact on the practice over the past 21 years working in mostly an administrative capacity. Bonnie is a good friend of Paulaswho introduced her to Dr. Lawnicki they all have been working together ever since.
Kim Renault graduated as a Dental Hygienist from the Forsyth School of Cambridge and has been working for Dr. Lawnicki since 1999. Although only at the office on Mondays and Saturdays, she spends her time really getting to know her patients. Her gentle demeanor and great capacity for understanding even the most anxious of her patients is a wonderful asset tothe practice.
Our office is open Monday through Thursday, with hours that can accommodate most any schedule. We know that your time is important, and we work to ensure that your visit happens as professionally and quickly as possible.
