It is our goal to make your visit with us an extremely pleasant one and to send you home with a beautiful and healthy smile.
Below is our New Patient Package that you will need to complete on your first visit. You can expedite matters by downloading the package, completing it at home and handing it to our staff when you arrive for your initial visit to our office.
Your first visit to our office is designed to get you better acquainted with all we offer as well as introduce you to our caring staff. On your first visit, we will review your medical and dental histories and evaluate your oral health. We will take digital x-rays of your teeth and explain to you whether or not you will require any dental treatment.
If you are looking for a highly trained and experienced dentist in Albany, you have come to the right place. At our practice, you will receive the highest quality dental care. Our dental office uses the latest state-of-the-art equipment and cutting edge technology and we uphold the strictest sterilization techniques. We know that many people may feel anxious about coming to the dentist, so it is our goal to make your visit with us as pain and anxiety free as possible. We view it as our mission to educate our patients about all of their oral health care options and to help guide them to choose a treatment plan that is most suitable and appropriate for their needs.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards as well as cash. For patients without dental insurance coverage we are happy to offer our own Barats Family Dentistry Membership Plan. We also offer low-interest financing through CareCredit. We accept most dental insurance plans and as a courtesy, we will file your dental insurance claim for you. To find out if we accept your plan, please call our office.

They charge $50 for rescheduling an appointment due to sickness. Receptionist very snide and this is to someone who's been a patient there for more than a decade. Terrible treatment.

I have had a definite fear of dentists since a young age (my own fault) but being a new patient at this clinic has been wonderful. The entire staff is gentle, caring, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I found they were more than willing to answer any and every question I had about dentistry. They are quick and precise while being acutely aware of any discomfort you may be feeling from an X-ray to a filling. If you can see them they are definitely worth it.

After many years with the practice we left, they didn't forward my husband x-rays and cost us alot of money to replace the x-rays. Also they said my son needed a filling done and they couldn't do it. Went to the dentist that could do a filling of a child that need medicine before procedure and it was a total of waste time. There was no cavities and no need for the medicine for him to have procedure done. I will Never recommend this dentist.

Dr Barat rushed me in and out. She didn't listen to me when I told her my teeth didn't line up. I had to go back and she charged me $89 to fix the job she never finished. Rather than talking to me the billing staff never called me back and it is now in collections for over $100. Luckily my dental insurance became active the next month and I never have to go back to that place. Also never offered any type of anesthesia. She bought this clinic form P. F. Indzonka, D.M.D. to make money off people

My daughter and I are new patients. We have nothing but good things to say about Barats Family Dentistry. Debbie, at the front desk, is fabulous and delivers great customer service. Becky, our hygienist, is amazing. She is very gentle and really explains everything being done. Debbie and Becky really made us feel comfortable and like we have been friends forever. We both saw Dr. Stone. She is very calming and gentle. We would recommend this practice to everyone!

Wonderful care. Dr Barats and the whole team at Barats Family Dentistry is the best. I appreciate the patience that they had with me, and making sure that I was comfortable at all times. I had pretty extensive work done, and it turned out Great! The teeth look great and I have confidence in my smile now. Love going for my routine cleaning visits. The office is very clean and newly remodeled.

Dr. Barat is the best. I'm a real sissy when it comes to pain. Dr. Barat is so gentle when administering the procaine that it (almost) becomes pleasant, Her gentle touch and soothing voice is a godsend for me. The rest of the staff are professional and friendly. I highly recommend Barats Family Dentistry if you are looking for a dentist.

I recently became a patient here after a not so good experience at another dental office. Let me begin by saying I have extreme anxiety about dentists and doctors...(I have no problem sky diving but for some reason these places make me anxious as heck)... This place is amazing...absolutely amazing...love the people there and literally pain free...if you need a place you will not regret them....

Wow! I am a retired dentist, just moved to Albany, and recently became a patient at this great office. I must say that the work that they do here is by far the best! Quality and professionalism is top notch. I am also impressed by the modern technology that Dr Barats uses. The digital scanner has now replaced the old impression tray, and feels so much better in my mouth. Enjoy coming here and recommend to anyone!

Thank you for being my dentist! I am always treated with professionalism and respect. I love the dental work that was recently done for me. I have a smile now that I can be proud of - I am no longer self-conscious when talking to people. Both Dr Barats and Becky are great, and Dr Barats even puts up with my fear of the dentist (though now I know that there is nothing to be afraid of). Looking forward to my next cleaning visit :)
