I attended The University of Connecticut where I received my Bachelor ofArts and served as President of the Student Union Board of Governors.I continued my education, attending University Of Illinois where I received a Bachelor of Science and received my Doctor of Dental Surgery. I continued to be involved in education as a clinical instructor at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry for a time.
I have stayed at the forefront of dentistry by continuously attending educational programs for more than 30 years. I have brought the best, clinically proven technology into our office to serve our patients.
I sit on the Alumni Board at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry. Here I serve as the Alumni Chair of the Mentorship Program between The University and the Chicago Dental Society. This program fosters relationships between experienced dentists and dental students, a relationship that I feel is very important to the development of compassionate and ethical dentists.
My wife Judy and I have been married for over 30 years, and have four sons. We enjoy spending time with family, traveling, reading and automobiles. I am very proud to welcome my two sons Brian and Benjamin into my practice as professional peers, and look forward to collaborating with them as we work to serve all of our valued patients.
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Brian Baptist, eldest son of Dr. David Baptist. I am a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois where I majored in pre-medicine, Fine Arts and Art History.
My education continued with a Masters degree at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville where I was involved in cell research and taught courses in anatomy. I completed my formal schooling at University of Illinois College of Dentistry where I received my doctorate and excelled at restorative and pediatric dentistry. I was honored to serve as the student representative of the Chicago Dental Society in several capacities including academic chapter president.
I was fortunate to have been selected to serve an externship with the Indian Health service, providing health care to the Inupiak people of Alaska. Besides flying into remote villages with bush pilots, I was able to drive a dog team on a typical sled to the most northern point in North America, Point Barrow, Alaska.
I bring with me a relaxed yet professional demeanor. I love dentistry and teaching patients how to maintain their oral health. I am very pleased to be practicing with my father David and my brother Ben. As part of Baptist Family Dental, I welcome the opportunity to provide dental care for you and your family.
I graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale Summa Cum Laude where I studied Biology and Chemistry. I held a two-year research assistantship with the department head of Chemistry and Biochemistry investigating materials to advance chemotherapy and nerve growth/re-attachment. I continued my education at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, graduating in the top of my class.
At University ofllinois my clinical training integrated all forms of dentistry including pediatrics, advanced restorative procedures and dental implant therapy. I was a teachingassistant for both the Pediatric Dentistry Course and the Implant Dentistry Course. I continue to be involved with Dental Education, having taught atthe University of Illinois as a clinical instructor before moving over to Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine as a clinical instructor.
I combined my love of traveling and cultures with expanded clinical experiences. Selected for an externship with the Indian Health Service, I traveled to the North Slope of Alaska and provided dental care to native Alaskans. One of the most memorable experiences was becoming a certified member of the Polar Bear Club.
My wife Diana, daughter Alexandra, son David and I enjoy traveling, dancing, and playing with our two dogs. My hobbies also include carpentry, photography, and auto mechanics. Working with my father David and brother Brian has been a long-timegoal. I look forward to helping the people who trust their care to Baptist Family Dental achieve their goals of optimal dental health and aesthetics.
Kelly is the Scheduling Coordinator at Baptist Family Dental. She graduated from Illinois State University in 2016 with a degree in Early childhood Education. She was a preschool teacher as well as a teachers aide for two years before joining the Baptist Family dental team. Kelly enjoys reading, music, photography and spending time with her family at her home in Chicago.
has been a part of Baptist Family Dental since Dr. Dave opened the office in Mount Greenwood in 1978. While raising four sons, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Benedictine University. She received her masters degree in Literacy while teaching 4th grade.
Judy left teaching about the same time her first grandchild arrived. Five more grandchildren followed soon. Judy treasures each moment they spend together, reading, exploring, and snuggling. Her return to the office started as a temporary role, filling in for vacations and sick leaves at the front desk. After getting to know our wonderful patients and dedicated caring team, she refuses to leave!
Mary started as a dental assistant while in High School. She decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene and has been doing so since graduating in 1998, from hygiene school in Kalamazoo, MI. She loves seeing her patients and educating them to achieve optimal oral health and takes pride in what she does. Mary continues to pursue learning all the latest technologies and further education with the latest techniques for dental hygiene. Mary has two children who keep her busy with many sports and activities. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, family and friends and going to their cottage in Michigan.
She enjoys creating a calm atmosphere for the patient and feels privileged to walk patients through their procedures and keep them informed about the progress of their treatment. Becky finds satisfaction in her ability to follow patients throughout their treatment and see the end results of their care, which is a confident smile. The best is when I meet a patient who has been unhappy with their smile and has been hiding it for years. When their treatment is finished, they walk out of the office with a big smile on their face.
Debi has served in every auxiliary capacity from hygienist to office manager to chair side assistant in her long tenure with Baptist Family Dental. She generously and competently jumps into whatever role is required by the patient or the office team to assure patients needs are addressed. The part of her job that Debi enjoys most is educating patients about all the exciting options they face today when it comes to restoring or maintaining their smiles. Debis strength is empathy. She feels happiest when she knows she did her best to make the patient comfortable during their dental visit or procedure. It is important to me that the patient feels he or she has been treated compassionately.
Kitty is our full-time dental assistant here at Baptist Family Dental. Kitty strives to maintain a positive attitude and a nurturing chair-sidemanner to ensure our patients feel comfortable. She is willing to take on any role, helping anyone she can. Kitty is quick to crack a joke and loves to make people laugh. Kitty enjoys babysitting and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Renee has been in the dental field for 20 years. She has a passion for helping people feel comfortable, and often adds some humor to make the feel patients at ease. I was very excited to join Baptist Family Dental, we have an extraordinary team of co-workers and dentists, who truly care about our patients. Renee and her husband Mark reside in Tinley Park and have been married for 18 years. They have a son and a daughter who keep them busy with baseball and softball. In her down time, Renee enjoys spending time with family and friends in Michigan as well as taking long walks and rooting on the Boston Red Sox.

I saw Dr Brian. He was great. Very patient, very thorough, and very gentle. This was my first time at Baptist Dental. My prior dentist retired and referred me to Baptist Dental. I'm glad he did. We discussed my issues and came up with a plan. He explained everything to me in detail and addressed my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr Brian and Baptist Dental. Everyone is very nice, helpful, and respectful. Also Meghan assisted Dr Brian with x-rays and was very gentle and kind. She made sure I was very comfortable throughout. Added bonus the dental chair has a massager! I may just have to go there every week just for a massage! 5 star rating!

I have been coming to Baptist Family Dental since the mid-70s. There has never been a time that I have been disappointed. I am now in my 70's and my teeth have endured the test of time under the care of Dr. Dave and Mary, my Dental Hygienist. All the front desk staff are awesome to work with. They take great care of me! The practice has expanded with the addition of Dr. Dave's sons, who are equally as skilled as their Dad. They have a great mentor. Believe it or not, I enjoy going to the dentist and look forward to my visits!

Definitely a family environment. It was great service through and through. Doctor David explained in minute detail everything that was going on with my chipped front teeth, and even saved me a few bucks! I was in and out of there quickly and my teeth look a million times better!! Thank you

I am very pleased to have been referred to BFD after my dentist of 25+ years retired. The dentists are so cordial, put the patient's comfort first and foremost, and are always accommodating. The staff is a mirror reflection of the dentists. I have been extremely satisfied with the dental work I have received thus far.

Very warm and welcoming 1st visit. From the time I walked in the door til the time I left each team member I encountered greeted and introduced themselves. Dr. Brian was friendly, down to earth, and professional. He addressed any concerns I had professionally and thoroughly explained what would be happening on my 1st visit. The dental hygienist performing my cleaning and x-rays was very informative and friendly. She put me at ease and before I knew it the cleaning and exams were over.

I came in last Friday for a consultation to Pinhole procedure to possibly resolve an extensive gum recession problem where "almost all of my teeth" have gum recession and some have root exposed. Dr. Brian did the exam and assessment, he was very through and took a HUGE amount of time from his busy schedule to make sure I understanding the magnitude of the situation, I feel that I was enlightened by his wisdom and knowledge after I left the office. He was basically professor explaining to his student (student/patient/me) to make sure I make the right decision going forward. It was unfortunate that I didn't qualify for the Pinhole procedure, however, Dr. Brian gave me more than just a better idea of what I need to do next. Dr. Brian is defiantly a healer, he is so passionate about what he does, I could feel the love for his job and most importantly dentistry, and from my experience if someone loves what he does, they are defiantly good at it. I think that his staff are so lucky to work for him, so often it is not easy to find a Boss to work for that "CARES" I was able to tell while he was reading the numbers of how deep is the gum receding to his assistant Kitty (who by the way very friendly), he would make sure she is in sync with him in a very polite manners. Completely the opposite from other dentists I have seen in the past. I just want to make sure I note the above not only for new patients looking for a service at Baptist Family Dental, but also to raise the moral of his staff (because sometimes we human tend to take things for granted) and ensure any new staff considering to join this family practice that they will be treated with dignity and I can be 100% that they will not be disappointed. During this COVID19 time, I felt the protocol this office follows increases the safety of the patients. I strongly recommend this practice and in particular Dr. Brian. Thank you so much Dr. Brian, I appreciate your time and excellent service, you went above and beyond just a normal "consultation", it was top notch service without a doubt. Cheers.
