My wife Erin and I have been blessed with four great kidsMcKay, Natalie, David and Samuel. We initially moved to St. Louis for my orthodontic training, but realized wed found our home in the Midwest. I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in church activities, playing basketball, and reading. I also enjoy running and cycling, and try to complete several triathlons each year.

Dr. Alex began his orthodontic career after working in private practice as a general dentist. Like his colleagues, he is Invisalign certified and passionately committed to continuing education on this and other innovative technologies.
Dr. Alex lives with his wifeAlisonin the Lake Saint Louis area with theirthree beautiful daughters, Alyssa,Evelyn, and Elaina. When he's not in the office, he's either spending time with the girls, biking, or playing board games. He loves cookies, music, and chalupas. (Seriously, he has a chalupa almost every day!) He also serves as the currentmusical director of theRising Generation Youth Chorus.

Almost three years ago I moved to St. Louis to begin my orthodontic training at St. Louis University, and I fell in love with the Midwest. I have truly enjoyed these last few years in St. Louis exploring all of the different offerings the city has. I feel so lucky and proud to call St. Louis my new home. I am a firm believer in treating my patients like family. I truly look forward to meeting you and making your orthodontic experience a success by delivering exceptional patient care all while having fun!
In my free time I love to hike, ski, cook, and spend time with my lovely significant other, Phillip and our dog, George. Together we enjoy being outdoors, traveling and exploring new cities and National Parks, and trying new and delicious foods. While I enjoy watching the Cards and Blues, I am an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and Netflix enthusiast.
Dr. Jacob grew up in southern Illinois and afterfinishing his orthodontic residency at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, he is thrilled to be back in the area as a member of the Bankhead Orthodontics team. He loves coming to work every day and has already experienced the rewards of making a difference in patients lives. Dr. Jacob learned the newest advancements in treatment techniques during his residency, including 3D printing, digital scanning and Invisalign.
When not working, I truly enjoy traveling and have been an avid scuba diver for over a decade. As a lifetime St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan, there are few things better than attending a home or away game or taking in a great concert.

Dr. Alex Oldroyd was very approachable and did an excellent job of making my son feel comfortable discussing his plan of care. He explained everything thoroughly and I felt very confident with what he proposed to do. Sara was nice and very helpful as well.

Front desk staff was friendly and informative. Dr Alex explained things well and gave us the appropriate amount of time. Sara forgot to introduce herself and asked several questions that I had already filled out in the forms (pet peeve of mine-I spend 15 minutes filling out your forms, please review them). Otherwise, she was a kind individual.

We were there for a consultation and everyone was very friendly. Dr Alex and Sara were very informative about the process, cost, etc and both were very easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions.

Over the past 3 years, I have called Bankhead Orthodontics in Wentzville home. As an adult brace patient, it presented a challenge to the doctors with the crowding, undescended tooth, and severe overbite. I felt very welcomed and at home with EVERY appointment. I was reassured with my progress and explained every step. Dr Darren and Dr Alex are the best at their jobs, very thorough and I cannot thank them enough.

I asked the staff for three visits not to do something. They made it seem like they would honor my request, and went against my request. On the last visit, my child asked if this was approved by his parents to do what they were doing....the staff member lied and said "yes". I was sitting in the lobby so she could have just asked me. If you let your child go, then sit by them as they lie to children and do not honor parent requests.

The doctor explained the importance of brushing my sons teeth to him using an analogy from Star Trek. My son paid attention and came home and started paying better attention to how he brushed his teeth and brushed much better. He even explained it to his grandpa about the bacteria that can build up.

My experience with Bankhead Orthodontist was amazing. The staff were very professional and kind. They were always willing to work with my hectic schedule. The dentist were the BEST! They listened and made sure that I was happy throughout the entire process. If you are looking for an Orthodontist that is customer friendly, professional, and does amazing work...this is the place to go. I am extremely happy with the service they provided.
