Dr. Michele Spekhardt has been providing exceptional dental care for 20 years! Dr. Spekhardt earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in 1984 and her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1990. After graduating from dental school, she started practicing in Brooks, Maine at the Jewell Dental Clinic. In 1994, she bought this practice from a retiring Bangor dentist.
Dr. Spekhardt feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology including, the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Maine Dental Association and the Penobscot Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Jacob Valley was born and raised in Brewer, Maine where he attended Brewer High School and participated in high school hockey. He completed his undergraduate education in Medical Biology at University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. He enjoyed UNE so much that he decided to accept a position at the College of Dental Medicine at UNEs graduate campus in Portland, Maine. During his final year of dental school Dr. Valley completed 6 months of externship outreach at both Penobscot Community Dental Center in Bangor, Maine and Waldo County Hospital in Belfast, Maine. Dr. Valley is excited to return to the area in which he grew up and help treat the people who gave so much to his upbringing.
In his spare time Dr. Valley is an avid outdoorsman, skier, hunter, and guitar player for a country rock band. In the summer he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Kirston and their dog Bowen at the lake.

Great experience! I had a cleaning and X-rays done the other day and they were very friendly and knowledgeable as well as compassionate. The place was clean and easy to find. Would definitely recommend them to a friend!

Allow me to preface this review by saying... I don't like going to Doctors or Dentists. I broke a tooth which created some urgency to do so. Bangor Dental Associates was able to get me in quickly to assess the situation. This in itself was no small feat as I was not a patient there until this... I was pleasantly surprised when Dr Spekhardt put me immediately at ease and I never felt like I was doing that "thing" that I hate to do. Not only did she provide a quick and proper assessment of my situation, she was able to perform a quick, temporary repair so that I wouldn't continue to look like Jim Carrey's character in "Dumb and Dumber" until the permanent repair can be performed. The entire crew was helpful and very pleasant. I can't believe what I'm about to say but, based upon this visit, I just might like going to the dentist... Thank you all so much!! Cheers!

When an old front incisor crown suddenly and unexpectedly broke, Dr. Spencer Valley promptly placed a temporary crown and ordered a permanent one from the lab. After 3 weeks, an amazingly well-crafted and realistic crown came from the lab. With great patience and skill, Dr. Spencer prepared the site and carefully positioned and cemented the crown, making precise adjustments to the crown surface to insure a perfect fit. The crown matches my other teeth exactly, fits beautifully and looks natural. I think it's the best crown I have ever had!

I broke part of a filling on my 2nd molar. I got an appt within 48 hours. Dr. Spencer Valley & Jen showed me pictures & xrays of my tooth and shared my options with me. I have a follow-up plan and appreciate all the staff in this practice! From reception to care to check-out everyone treats you like you are their only patient in the practice.
