Dr. Brad has been around orthodontics his entire life as a second generation orthodontist. He also was a horrible orthodontic patient, having had braces 4 different times. I was not very good at wearing my retainer, but being a bad patient makes me a much better doctor.
Ohio State where Dr. Brad was born is also where he spent 7 years obtaining his DDS and MS in Orthodontics. I guess that makes me a true Buckeye, but I also spent several great years in Southern California at Biola University and Cal State Fullerton. This is where he received his bachelors degree and masters degree in marriage and family counseling. I guess I have covered coast to coast in one way or the other. Many great experiences with a lot a really interesting and fun people.
What makes Dr. Brad unique, different? I have a tremendous passion for what I do, I love it. The ability to give someone an amazing smile which I know will transform their personality into someone amazing is absolutely the greatest gift in the world. Having fun doing this is also a blast, so thats how the crazy shoes and socks started, never matching and always fun. If you love what you do and have fun doing it youll never work a day in your life, so I have heard and its true for me. I am also fortunate to have great dental professionals here in Maine to work with and help them give their patients a great smile.
Dr. Brad grew up and practiced orthodontics for over ten years in Arizona before moving to Maine. I get asked all the time, why did you come this way, most of us Mainahs want to go out West. We were looking for a change and new opportunity and simply fell in love with Maine. You may be tired of the cold at times, but got tired of the heat. Bangor Braces was started by Dr. Frank Gilley in the 1940s and was continued by Dr. Lee Souweine before Dr. Brad took over in 2013.

I highly recommend Bangor Braces! My son was dreading getting his braces, but all of the staff have been helpful and kind. The ladies at the front desk are awesome as well. They are very friendly and flexible when it comes to scheduling an appointment. We had a weekend braces emergency and they were able to get us in on Monday morning.

Do not do business with them. Everything went great I paid upfront they said I had great insurances that would cover the rest. Two years later after they had systems changes and they even claimed that they missed the deadline for the insurance for them to get paid they still blame me for their mistakes and their lack of ability and they are coming after me to pay for what they messed up submitting in a timely fashion. So they are NOT reputable because they do not stand by their own mistakes. Careful with this place or you will end up with bills 2 years later!

Horrible find a different braces place or whatever it's called if you get braces do not business with them. There where saying this summer they would take out my braces then they say at the end of the year It has been a year now but they need to do my over bite maybe if they have notice it sooner maybe I would get my braces.I HOPE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS

Very very bad. We had an appointment at 2:30 and we waited until 3:00. Moreover, they treat us differently because we are Asian. They treat white people as customers but treat Asian people like we own their money. Stupid place, especially the woman who is speaking in the front desk. Zero star.

Don't do business with them!!! Their service was terrible. The woman sitting in the lobby was very rude. They have no sense of time, everyone was sloppy, and once they even forgot to make an appointment for me... Here is my horrible experience today- My appointment was at 2:30 and I got there at 2:20 but didn't see the doctor until 2:50. I asked a staff in the lobby saying "could you please help me to check how long I would have to wait", but she rolled her eyes on me and said NO. Okay, so my braces were taken completely off on 3:15, which is already 30 minutes behind the plan. And then I was told that I need to wait for another 20 minutes to get the maintenance set. I said that's work for me cause I have to leave before 3:45 since I have a meeting on 4. Well again, I didn't get the retainer until 4!!!! And what's worse is that when I checked in how long I need to wait, they had no guilt about the delay and spoke very rudely to me!!!! My boss got very angry with me because my absence to the meeting and this is all the BANGOR BRACES fault!!!

Clean kid friendly facilities in the heart of the Queen City! Kind and knowledgeable staff and have never had a problem securing an appointment time that worked for us. Highly recommend!

This place is seriously so fun. Even as a mom I thought it was so cool and just perfect for kids of all ages!! For someone who has always had a fear of the dentist, I would have loved to be able to go to a place like this as a kid. Not only is it totally geared towards kids but the staff was incredibly kind and informational. I left there with absolutely no questions or confusion. We went in for a first time appointment to see about braces for my 14 year old and by the time we left my 8 year old was hoping she would need braces someday so she could come back...lol. There was lots of stuff to do for my little one while waiting and comfortable for an adult as well. Now just keeping our fingers crossed that our insurance will approve us and the experience with the actual orthodontist will be just as nice.

They told me I need to start my Invisalign treatment ASAP, but then told me I had to wait for all of my baby teeth to fall out AFTER I had started and payed A LOT of money to get them. I waited for an hour and a half to get in, they started to close and didn't even check me in! By far not a great choice...

This place is amazing! My kids apsolutely love going here. Now if a child gets excited to go have work done on their teeth, you know their doing something right! Dr. Brad is awsome with the kids along with all the other staff!!!
