The team at Baltimore Dental Arts has always made our patients health and safety our top priorities, and due to current times, were ready to double down on this commitment. Thats why were implementing several new protocols that are designed to keep you and our team members safe so everyone can enjoy peace of mind in our dental office. Youll find a list of what were doing below, and if you have any questions, youre always welcome to give us a call.
Dr. Ward knew relatively early that he wanted to go into medicine, and when it came time to pick a career, he saw that dentistry would be the right fit. He liked the idea of being able to work closely with each individual patient and use his hands to make beautiful restorations. Today, he has practiced for 12 years so far, and he looks forward to continuing for many more to come!
After graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004, he went straight into the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He earned his DDS degree in 2008, and since then, he has completed the Essentials courses and many others at the esteemed Pankey Institute, where he now serves as visiting faculty. He is currently a member of the Maryland State Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When Dr. Ward isnt spending time with our own Dr. Melody Ward and their two young boys Cyrus and Lucas, he can often be found golfing or fishing. He also enjoys playing the guitar--while in dental school, he was actually in an all-dentist band called Incisal Edge! He even has his own guitar collection and has turned his basement into a music room.

The office was clean, neat and well organized. The front desk and the staff were very nice, pleasant and respectful. Their first initial assessment was very thorough and they utilized all the newest technology. They take a full medical history and they include any of your specific concerns. Dr. Conklin was very nice, easy to talk to and professional.

I had a cracked molar extracted, and Dr. Ward did it painlessly. My experience was so much more pleasant than I ever imagined.

My visit was great. The staff was bubbly and kind. I always feel so welcomed when I arrive. My favorite dentist office. Ms.Rose Wellington and Devon are my favorite!

I have had the pleasure of being a patient of both Dr. Devon Conklin and Dr. Charlie Ward. I have found them both to be extremely good practitioners of their craft. Dr. Devon Conklin is particularly good at building patient relationships and working closely with you to determine the best course of action. She comes from a family of dentists and you can see her love of dentistry in her beautiful work. Dr. Charlie Ward is truly an artist and teeth are his canvas. He will make you feel at ease after your first meeting and will help you on your journey to a beautiful and healthy smile. The office staff and hygienists are wonderful and make everything easy to understand and meet you where you are. Could not recommend a dental practice more highly.

My family & I have been going to Conklin & Ward Dental Group for over 10 years. They're AMAZING. With the merge into Baltimore Dental Arts, we've loved the new office & all the new office staff & hygienists. Everyone has been so nice & welcoming. I would have zero complaints if it wasn't for a recent policy change & unfortunately, because of that change we now have to switch practices. At my appointment earlier this week, the lovely lady checking me out said my total was 700 & some dollars. I was incredibly confused. (My son was seen two weeks before me so the total was for both of our cleanings.) When I expressed my confusion, she said they have a new policy where patients have to pay for their services IN FULL on the day you're seen... I can understand this for patients who don't have insurance, but I do and this policy seems absolutely backwards to me. I think I was even more upset because there was NO NOTICE sent out about what, I think, is a major policy change. No email, automated voice message, text, nothing. If you're able to pay for services in full every time you go, then I highly recommend this practice. If you're like me & your financial situation doesn't allow you to do this, then keep looking.

Dr. Ward and her staff are amazing!!! She was extremely thorough during my appointment. She gives ample time to ask questions. She addressed all of my concerns in detail. The assistant has multiple years of experience. The office is spotless. This office is a gem!

Absolutely the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Conklin actually spent time with me and learned about my medical and dental history. I expressed some concerns and she was understanding and accommodating. The exam was flawless and thorough. The offices are state of the art and all of the staff were kind and warm. I highly recommend BDA and Dr. Conklin.

I highly recommend Dr. Sahar Damghani. She is extremely intelligent, thorough, insightful, caring and a good listener. I've been to many dental practices - she is by far the best I've ever come across. She's helped me solve many issues that all previous doctors have misdiagnosed. I am lucky to have found this practice and grateful for the excellent care I've received.
